I didn't really keep up with Noel after Oasis broke up..I found out Garbage was coming to Atlanta and wanted to take my daughter I found out that Noel and his high flying birds were aslo playing..so I started pulling up some of his solo work, this was 1.5 months before he released Council skies. The first song I heard was Dead to the world. I was amazed..this was the same guy ? Anyway..I got to go see him and now I'm a HUGE fan.
I'm pretty sure that at this point in Noel's career he can write a quality song in his sleep. Noel should get more recognition as being one of the best songwriters of his generation. The mere fact that he wrote all the songs from Definitely Maybe, WTSMG and all these amazing b-sides, that would be released as singles for most bands, should tell you everything you need to know about how talented he is.
I was at the gig in Seoul a couple of weeks ago. Love that night. Noel Gallagher and High Flying Birds were awesome and everybody felt happiness I believe. Keep going Noel. Love you.
I wish Kurt had quit Nirvana and made his own thing like Noel. Noel genuinely loves what he does while he could've kept the Oasis monster rolling and been miserable
