8 hours a week , £40 per hour including waste I'd say for a solo man like myself . Love the content keep up the good work chaps !
Really appreciate the kind words bro I think that’s a good price
Have a great rest of the week mate
@@THETATTOOGARDENER83 no worries dude no point working for peanuts with that work ethic !
£40 an hour? Wow! What area are you working in????
£320 A day,nice money if you can get it😮
So is that £80.00 per hour when there is 2 of you
Hi Pete I have been given the same opportunity for 3/4 acre that needs a lot of work doing and 4hrs weekly maintenance. As you know I’m new to the game and still finding my way on the pricing game. Always appreciate your knowledge wisdom n advice. It’s a lovely garden you looked at and I love gardens like that as I have so many ideas n suggestions. Look forward to the job entailed. All the best mate. Boycie
Hi buddy I’ve not heard back from the client so not sure this will be a goer sadly
But if she does get back to me with ages then we’re film it 💪🏼
Would love to transform that new property. Hope you get it and do your magic. Excited for this one. So many awesome things, that bear 😂. In the U.S. it would be extremely expensive to do this property. 3-5 thousand on the bids or over that. Great jobs on the gardens today. Have a great week Pete !!!!!!
Hi Carol we both think we could make it look much better we’re have to see what the clients willing to pay fingers crossed we get the gig
Have a great rest of the week
I hate giving a fixed price……people always wanna add stuff on once you’ve started or send you back to just trim a bit more so they get their moneys worth. I only quote hourly rate. Fixed prices scares them and doesn’t really work in anyone’s favour.
This is very true I’ve done hourly before and set price and on both occasions undercut myself so I guess it’s getting that balance right
Thanks for watching Ian
Easy two days for three people to get it back under control. Would need a heavy duty strimmer like my FS461 to deal with alligator area of garden as you’ll find with KM56 strimmer it will eat the core and jam the head. More than welcome to borrow it if you get the job 👍
Thanks Carl I’ll give you a bell if we get it mate that would be a huge help
What a guy 👍
You so should do that job, the result would be amazing 👏
I’ll pop my quote in and see what she says if she does agree it will be a great video
Have a good evening bro 😎
Great video, yes take it on you could make it fantastic.
Thanks Dave just waiting to hear back from her now
We’d love to make it better
Pete and Team, yes take it on. We all want to see how you take it from the ashes, and turn it into a beauty again.
Id price it about £1000 mark roughly, whether its on man for a few days, or 3 men for one day and smash it out the park.
Going through the comments it seems a few seem to be saying around the £1000 price for a blitz due to the volume of work to complete it
I hope we get it and can bring this garden back to its former glory
yes defo used a rideon next door probabley due to grass growing like wildfire in the last week helping you out
He really did made our life a lot easier he’s a great client
Been cutting grass all day. Watching grass cutting vids in bed??? Subd! 👍
Edit. Came here from the grey gardener suggesting your channel
Thank you for subbing mate
Adam’s a great guy top lad we speak on WhatsApp sometimes
Keep up the great work buddy 💪🏼
@THETATTOOGARDENER83 cheers mate. Yes some great advice off Adam and now you too. Thanks a million
I would estimate that clean up to take 3 crew 12 hours. I currently run at 75 dollars per man hour. We do weekly service April through October here. That would be 300 per week or 450 every other week. I would also charge a load fee of 150 per load, estimate 2 loads. I run a 6x12 dump trailer.
Hi buddy thanks for your feed back mate it’s got loads of potential
Thanks for watching and dropping your prices
Have a great week 😎☀️🙌🏼
£1000 to get it properly up to a standard
Great work as always 👌🏻
I think that’s about the sort of figure I’m thinking of I just want to get it right
I recently undercharged a job and couldn’t then ask for more so want to get this one spot on
Thanks for watching 😄🙌🏼
that grass by the gypsy caravan probabley has daffs and wild flowers for effect of field
That’s what big al was thinking I’m sure we can get it looking nice tho if she wants us to do it
Got to be at least £1000 for initial tidy up if thats what she wants, I'd have a walk around with the customer to discuss what they want/expect and it gives you the opportunity to point things out they might not have.noticed or considered. Fingers crossed you get the job once youve put your price in Pete
Hi dale loads of people have said about £1000 for the big blitz then after that it will be more manageable
I’ve sent her a message I’ll see what she says to my quote
I hope we get the chance to bring this garden back to life
Day rate is safest bet. The bigger they are the tighter they budget 😂. Id do 1-3 day tidy up first with higher day rate, then offer a choice of biweekly/ weekly at my regular day rate. Get a foot in the door and it's easier to increase from there.
I’ve put a price in so will now just have to see if she’s willing to get her garden back
Looks just up your street that big tidy up pete.Like others are saying around 1k for a full day with 3 lads waste and the amount of petrol you'll use.I'd be tempted to just do half day first to suss the customer out and make sure they pay.
That’s also a very good shout you’d be gutted to do all that and find they don’t have the funds to afford it
You can’t be too careful so many gardeners get stung like that 😃 that’s a really helpful comment
I’ll be quoting it tomorrow 🙏
@@THETATTOOGARDENER83 Also with it been a hefty amount of cash customer might be more inclined to go with it on a half day basis over a few weeks so there not stumping up 1k first vist.
Great job as always
New job looks interesting, a lot of work there!
Don’t ask me on pricing as I’m really struggling to know what I should really be charging at the moment!😩
I would say give her a day rate for you and whoever you get to help and go from there. Set price might leave you out of pocket if not careful on those sort of jobs ( just for the initial tidy)
If she wants to have you regularly you’ll have more idea once it’s tidied up!
😅😄👍
Pricing is never easy I’ve given her a price but could almost place money on it that she won’t go with it but I’ve gone in and given what I think it’s worth to get it back under control and what we’re worth for doing it whilst covering the running costs for the day
We shall have to just wait and see now mark
Thanks for watching buddy 😃
I keep away from weeding tbh..
But you do a great job... I us weed killer and manure
Don’t blame you kills my old knees mate 😂
done somthing simaler recentley in brighton just mowing and strimming about 260 quid for first lawn and grass work
Are you near Brighton mate
We go down that way loads it’s an hour down the road from me
@@THETATTOOGARDENER83 eastbourne
Take it on and either get booked in for a bulls job followed by weekly maintenance. Initial clean up for three people £400/500 then arrange for 2/3hrs weekly maintenance weekly for £50/£75
Hi mate thanks for the comment it’s nice to see what everyone would charge for it
Pricing can be quite challenging sometimes last thing you want to do is under charge
@@THETATTOOGARDENER83 it all depends on where you are. I can charge daft money in one village yet the next village a mile or two away won’t pay anywhere near so they don’t get my services. Charge what your worth 👍🏻
It’s biiigg!! But what a project. No idea on price.
Not an easy one to price but needs a big blitz first before we can think about regular maintenance to keep it u see control
Thanks for watching 😎
No summer mate, at least 50 more days of rain apparently and cold lol, terrible mate!
It’s been shocking in terms of summer but then again things are growing and not burnt out yet so maybe for buisness it’s actually all good
Do you prefer petrol/electric/sit on/ cable mower? If so which type/brand is best for small/medium/ large gardens?
I prefer petrol or battery definitely not cable tools
I think for a small to medium lawn a hayter 48 or Honda Izzy will be ok
For bigger lawns a Honda pro 536 hayter 56pro
I love all ride ons makes life much easier best ride on I’ve used is a John deer what a mower that is
Battery mowers ego and stihl have some decent little mowers honestly there’s such a big choice you just have to get something that’s right for you
What’s great for me might not work for someone else I’d just try a few and see what you thinks best bud 😎
Im slowing down a bit at 55 and 30 odd years on the tools, depends on how much work you need, £30 an hour per person would suit me fine but we all have different needs/money etc, hit it for £40 an hour per person, see what they say
Good shout Mike I might well go for this I need to get my price to her today
🙌🏼
Al class at weeding
The weed master 👌🏼😎 he always does a great job
big Al top man
He’s a great guy hard to replace
That garden looks like a serious amount of work Pete. I guess with three of you it would be easier but gotta be a couple of days work to get it to a point of just maintenance! Price wise - tricky one, for me it would just be a day rate x amount of gardeners and make sure the waste goes in the woods 👍
Be great content for the vids too bud! 😁
Hi Ross it really is a tricky one as it’s more than just abit of weeding which is what that lady said lol
I’d love to do it to show you guys the results now that you’ve seen how it is
I’ll have to see what she says to our quote
It’s defo a project mate! I’ve taken on a few (smaller jobs) like that myself as one bander hoping for regular maintenance only for the customer to turn around and say they can manage going forward 🤦♂️😂 live and learn eh mate!!
On another note…
Keep on battling through Pete, I know first hand how hard it is to survive the day with small kids no sleep and full on work! Vids are getting better and better mate, we follow you cos your a legend 👏👊🙏
@@rossnicholls7228 thank you so much this comment means a lot buddy I’ve been running on empty recently just zapped of energy but plodding on
You guys that watch really are the strength I need to carry on my 12th man really Antie a footy team that needs alittle push 🙏
Thanks for all the support it means so much to myself and my family 😃
Red flag is that it is described as just a bit of weeding. Although that might be all she wants. I think you should settle into this site. Do the big blitz over three visits. That way you make sure the customer pays on time and is good to pay. So whatever the price split it over three. This spreads the cost for the customer too which they might like. For me it would be around £1200 split into 3 then bi-weekly visits that align to next door at your hourly rate.
That was my first thought when we walked in she only wanted weeding 😂 the garden needs major tlc
I think split visits could be a sensible option I’ll drop some figures into her today and see how it goes
By the looks of things there not short of a £££££ 😂
Most of my clients are minted mate what I’d give to have their bank accounts and not have to stress about money 😂
Hey Pete, hope you are keeping busy.
Got a question not garden related but about business.
Do you use an app for invoicing/quoting/payments. If so which one would you recommend?
I'm looking for something reasonable that makes businesslife easier.
Thanks in advance mate.
I use an app called invoices are you on Instagram if so I’ll send you a pic
It’s really good can highly recommend
Super busy got two vids and two shorts to get up in the next few days
I’ll have a product review for that balcony set next week it’s just been too manic to film it so far 😎
Balcony Kit*
@@thesmithsfamily1901 yes and I’m doing a give away too
Where did you get your Etesia from ? I got mine a couple of weeks ago. Im West Sussex also and after a mulch kit ? Which are as rare as rocking horse poop at the moment 😂
Hi mate mine came from a chap called Richard who sold his gardening and landscape company I paid £700 for mine came with the speed kit
Nice one. Good price!
I think you should really go for a chat with her, what amount of work she wants doing, plus you get the feel for the job.
Does she just want a slash and burn job or a renovation?
Like your man said, theres a lot of gear to get rid off.
It's ok.looking at the money but these jobs can costly,to you.
Most clients don't understand that.
Point out, that ivy is destroying her house.
I'd go for a proper chat before you chuck in a price, you might regret.
Remember people with money, usually keep it😉
This is very true it’s how you stay rich lol but big jobs like those require big hours to get back which in turn = big money to cover labour for lads and fuel and any waste removal
I think £1000 to blitz that is cheap so it’s the rock bottom I’d go to take it on if she says no then it’s no real loss as I’ve got plenty of other work
It’s going to take a lot of hard work to get this garden looking nice again
Thanks for watching Jonathan
I think you, love the challenge and the garden, what it could be.
Maybe they maybe selling it?want it to look good, for the estate agents.
Like you say, bang in your price.
Sh@t or bust😉
A lot of my clients keep me working in their gardens, all winter.
@@jonathanglanville5265 same for me mate I’m really lucky that most of my work is yearly
Box on Box off Strim the grass Mow the lawn Pete Son
💪🏼💪🏼😎☀️
I say 8 hrs and £50 a hour once a week
It’s going to need some serious hours which = money and graft
so I think your around the right sort of figure mate
@@THETATTOOGARDENER83 As I always say as a self employed gardner I know my worth I know what I charge you want my time and hours then the price is what it is
Jesus that’s a big tidy up required to get it back under control I’d say big blitz a few of you £1000 it’s a lot of work
After that it will be manageable with weekly visits
Great video Pete and big al 💪🏼😃
Yeah it’s proper big as you’ve just seen it’s going to be quite abit of work
I’ve just got to get this price right
Thanks for watching Rob 😎🙌🏼
Bloody Wasps 😂 Dad 👍🍺
There back again
Problem is dad music keeps getting copyrighted which is annoying
What did you think of the job we quote ( well looked at)
Too much for your old dad😂
I would say thanks but no thanks as a 1 man band lol
I’ll only do it with a few of us you’d never do it on your own there’s far too much work especially for me I’m an old man now at 41 😂
@@THETATTOOGARDENER83 I'm 2 years younger and I know how you feel lol
@@dans2492 it gets harder bro 🥵
@@THETATTOOGARDENER83 it does. I read your post earlier about having a few weeks off and I was thinking fair play cause its too easy to work yourself to death at this time of year. Really appreciate you taking time to film these vids aswell.
@@dans2492 pleasure mate and thanks for taking the time to watch them it means a lot because working filming and editing does take a lot of extra time into the already busy day
So when people watch and interact it’s just really nice for me it makes the whole process worth while knowing people enjoy watching them and occasionally being able to help people in some way means a lot to me on a personal level
£1500 then £50 every two weeks
You've gone from 1 extreme to the other 😂
I’m thinking around £1000 to get it back in shape then weekly visits or every two weeks visits to maintain it
@@dans2492 tell me about it
She said it was just abit of weeding we’re see if we get it
Thanks for watching Dan
@@dans2492 to get under control need lots of work then maintenance of £50.
@@THETATTOOGARDENER83 yeah I was thinking around the grand mark. Then around 4 man hours per week minimum to stay on top of it.
You say were just going to do this do that you dont give youselfs enough credit pete ,
We try our very best for everyone bud my biggest reason we’re able to plod is because of the support we have from you guys and our family 🙏
You really do give us the extra strength when we’re feeling drained like a flat battery 🥵
@@THETATTOOGARDENER83 love the channel have a good night ,
@@ChristyBermingham thanks mate have a great rest of the week 💪🏼
A day rate. once or twice a week depending on the amount of guys that can help, maybe sub it out as well to local gardener you know. big job, we have a few slow burn jobs, which 1 i am filming
That’s a good idea actually reas
