for weeding..... use a micro mattock, a soil seive and have a bucket by your side 90l one. the finish if far greater. no matter how you do ti, the weed seeds that are dormant 1 inch from the surface will still appear and germinate. you may feel your taking forever on your hands and knees but trust me its better.
Whilst I completely appreciate your idea. It's not really practical in terms of garden maintenance. 90% of my business is maintenance based with a time-frame allocated to each visit each fortnight. During this time, I do enough with a hoe and rake to keep weeds at bay within the time that I have throughout the season.
