I have a pair of dunu falcon c with an issue on mmcx on one side. Maybe i should try this to change the connector. Thanks for your awesome videos. I'm nearly starting to do diy earbuds, and your channel is helping me a lot.

Good luck with the channel !...hopefully we'll get to see a headphone speaker mod where you take a decent set of headphones and make them sound high end by adding better drivers...just a thought

But really a heed if advise, the mod is very advanced if using my parts and steps, it is best for diyer to go for easier parts like those slim and long mmcx so there's no need to shave and drill the hole

@@Chatomaloso97 thannk you for the kind words, be very very careful with the mod, if you can get slimmer mmcx ports do use them, they may not look as good but it has a very low risk compared to this, the main take away from this video is actually how to open up the dunu

I wonder if this can be done with cheap tws whose battery died. I have the original OnePlus buds and the battery is starting to fail. Remove the battery from the stem, remove the bt and remaining circuitry and wire an mmcx directly to the driver would work?

First i want to say that i love the content. i own a dunu dn 1000 and have been searching for a while for a way to open them, and this professional video has been great!
After a while with the dunus i have lack of sound on one side, nothing to do with the cable jack.
Any chance you can recommend a way to fix a problem like this? i'm sure it will be a great peace of content for your channel as well.

Thank you for the lovely comment! As for the issue, most probably one of the wire gave way in the sleeving, I really don't recommend doing the mmcx mod yourself if you are not at least on intermediate level of skill for diy, but changing out a new cable is do-able

Did this to my dn 2000j. And it hugely reduced the low frequencies. Maybe this connector is not accoustically meant to protrude inside. The idea is great but somehow it didn't work for me.

The back vent might be blocked during modding, you could remove the back plate and test again
