i had to repair the cable of the wifi antenna for my mobo (which uses an mmcx connector for some interesting reason [rog rampage V]) this helped me successfully repair it. thx.
Man thank u. I was trying to dissasemble the connector by undoing the clip for 40mins. Then i saw ur vid. Doing the repair now thanks :). I subbed. Happy flying
Hey, I couldn't find the exact model anymore. Either way I wouldn't go for this one again. Because the clamps are very sharp and not isolated and not very flexible or turnable. Have a look for "Third Hand". There are various models with flexible and isolated clamps, light and magnifying glas.
@@seb-fpv3627 ah cool! Yeah the ones I’ve seen with fixed hands were frustrating to use so I liked the move able arms. Also in general, I’m about to do this tomorrow but basically we want the pin soldered to the inner wires (tiny wires inside of the insulation) but what I was unsure about is the outer metal jacket of wires (not sure proper term) - that should be in connectivity with mmcx connector housing you slid over everything? Just want to make sure I have the proper connection made as I may have missed it in the video. Thanks for responding and cheers!
Wish I would of watched this before my 1st botched attempt. Thanks for posting!

Yes, the braid / ground goes to the plug housing.
I had a bad habit of forgetting the shrink wrap. I like directly soldering to vtx
Especially I liked "a metal shit connector"). Sorry. Just a joke. I wish a prosperity for your channel.
Bitte!
