- Happy Thanksgiving!
Now it's time for something completely different! Tyler Evans has been a big part of livefastdiepoor.com from the beginning, mostly behind the camera. Now we made him jump in front of it to kick off his own series, "Tyler Evans Rock Journalist" - His channel is at: / tylerrockjournalist
So as a special treat, we get to share Tyler's first couple videos on this channel.
From Tyler,
"In the beautiful farming community of Dyess, Arkansas, we were given the rare opportunity to take a tour through the boyhood home of Johnny Cash. The folks from Arkansas State University took us on a guided walkthrough, giving us intimate access to things that won't be accessible to the public when the home becomes a museum in 2014. The house, which Ray Cash moved his family into in 1935, is a relic of rock and roll history. It's where Johnny Cash learned to sing, and its setting served as a muse for some of his most popular songs, like "Five Feet High and Rising," and "Pickin' Time." "
VERY SPECIAL THANKS to Dr. Ruth Hawkins & her team for letting us intrude on their valuable time and offer the LFDP folks a glimpse inside the restoration process
The Adventures are now on our NEW CHANNEL: / justinscarred
NEW MERCH! store.randomland.com (2021 and beyond!)

What an awesome way to honor a legend.
A great man. My whole family were fans.
I live about an hour from here. Dyess is pronounced like dice. Awesome video.
Wow! Grew up listening to the man in Black. A time before and during the British Invasion. I even remembered this home before the restoration. Definitely good times and super American music.
Beautiful home thank you for share this video clip.
I'm actually related to Johnny Cash. He was my Papas (dads dad) first cousin and they use to play together all the time. also my last name is cash so XD

yes...
I ment to say 20 not 40 acres. My family also got 20 and several years later most people got 40 after so many people left the colony and the land was redivided. I was a classmate and friend of J.. R.
Thats so cool
Im from henderson tn and my dad said he lived across the ditch from him and said he remembered when he got off of a b john deere and started up the railroad tracks and said he could do better singing than driving those oil slinging tractors
Glenn Johnson Was here just three weeks ago on the Phil Mack Country TV tour. This was just awesome so,a big thank you for showing this.

Thank for sharing the cool vid. That was really awesome!
Did they film any scenes from "Walk The Line" there?
No. I was surprised they didn't
It wasn't there, which was only minorly disappointing.
I would love to visit that place
My grandpa step one last name is Evans. Anyway when I was in Memphis I watched walk the line in theater.
Maybe we're sorta related?!
Haha to common
You're a real smarty pants horse,Grandpa.😬
😘
Another " Quality" video!,.......... :)
Thanks for the quality comment!
Wow!!! 40 acres 0 money down !!!
Kinda scary, the fact that you were standing in the spot where one of his brother's died after the head saw accident.
So, they lived in it since new, but when they left, it sat in disrepair? Guess Papa Cash wasn't too much into upkeep.
Johnny Cash. house Arkansas
My empire of Dirt
Looks very isolated.
They got 20 acres not 30
They cut the tree on the side of the house :/ All for profit!
