drinking in the Gangster pubs of London! - th-cam.com/video/d6hEmbKgWh4/w-d-xo.html
Your mate walking round with the camera on a stick 🤣 he’s clearly not done what you do! You can’t walk into a rough pub with a camera on a stick and expect to be welcomed!
And then order half a fosters ...😂
Its called lethal naivety
Thay got the heads up first
stupid Brummie
I get your point but that said, the other guy is Wendall and he does similar stuff and a good number of subscribers.
tell your mate stop being so obnoxious with his camera, he's making it obvious he recording everyone ruining your vibe and the vibe of people around you.
Wendell has twice the subscribers he should know better😂
Every time you prove that the ordinary people of the UK are awesome. Love it, respect to Wendal too, love his stuff on Benidorm.
Just gotta get out there and mingle. Yeh Wendall is a sound wingman 👍🍺
And shrinkflation, the juice that I buy Is usually 1L ...for the same price the carton got smaller, it's now 955ml, so the scavvy choadsters have robbed me out of 5% of juice, I want justice !
Another banger mate glad too see the subs creeping up the contents getting better and better with each video
Cheers pal. Really appreciate it 👍
Honest places and Wendall, the collab we didn’t know we needed but it’s so right!
Great seeing Wendell with Honest Places, great collab ,hope there’s more
Cheers pal. Yeh he's deffo sound....and up for dodgy pubs 🤣
There is no better travel guide on the planet
🤣 no facts or info....just randomly pubs. I'll take that
2 of my most fav youtube travellers in the same video!!! Loved the tour guys. Hope you decide to go to ireland. I might go there after my tour to europe next week.
Wendal went to Dublin , It was a good Vlog 👍
Lived in the area for 15 years up until 2017.In that time we lost 16 'proper pubs in less than a mile radius.
You walked past the end of Cable Street - that has also lost all its pubs (I think there were 8 when I moved there). There are hardly any left on the Isle of Dogs now either. You did well to find the ones you did, there aren't many left!
Surprise you didn't try the two at Chrisp St Market while you were there - they are exactly the type you were looking for.
Been in all those shown here. Know the Crown well and the White Hart & Blind Beggar - did you know there used to be two other pubs there - one next to the White Hart and another on the opposite corner next to the Blind Beggar?
As for 'rough' - never saw a single incident and spent many a happy hour mixing with the locals.
Gawd I miss London!
KP
Another good video.Great to have the two of you out and about together.I 've always found London pubs to be the friendliest in the world anyway 👍
Cheers pal. Yeh sort right boozers there
When you walked down the market on whitechapel road, on the other side was the hospital which had a famous patient Joseph Carey Merrick nicknamed The Elephant Man due to his physical deformaties.
Carl Pilkington’s Favourite Movie “The Elephant Man”
Nice to see you near my neighbourhood. Tower Hamlets is a mix of rich and poor. If you want to try the nice pubs, one day you should do a riverside pub crawl, start from limehouse and walk until st. Katherine's docks.
Just found your videos mate, loving them! Cheers for the content
Another banger vid! Having Birra Moretti while watching as well class
Aint had one of those in ages. Kinda want one now with this weather 👍🍺
Lol same
Nice colab! I subscribe to you both so this one was a bit like the extras you use to get on dvds! Great vid!!
Ahaha dvd extras! Those were the days. Cheers pal 👍🍺
Glad you brought some muscle with you just in case things started KICKING OFF, i bet those pubs are not as safe later in the night, another good video, just nipping to the corner shop for a pack of Guinness.
Lovely weather, sat with a wine whilst watching!
Wish i had the weather when i was filming 😭🍺
Top vid, good to the connection with Wendall
10:50 - The Torxy is a music venue on the far east end of Commercial Rd. Its quite big too, nearly the size of Brixton Academy
Ah right. Look a half decent venue that 👍
Used to be the Krays club
Takes me back, Mile End, Whitechapel, Aldgate and the Roman (road).. Visits to the toy museum, vicky etc.. Nice video... Now for a cheeky indoors pint..Cheers pal..
Enjoy ya pint pal 👍
Yes you found a few dodgy pubs the worst was the one you got told to leave from the way that guy looks at you when you walked in reminds me of early eighties in Liverpool if your a stranger they let you know just by looking at you great video
Cracking video mate, I was just the otherside of the river. Had the 'Fitchetts' in rotherhithe SE London for a while. Changed hands and names apparently endlessly now!
Cheers pal 👍
Great vids lads
Great video mate. Now subscribed👍🏻.
' I’ve been in pubs from Vancouver to Beirut and it’s how you act with people that make them rough
100%. Go in chilled and you'll be sweet
All the East End pubs are finished. Head out to Brentwood then East to Wickford ,Canvey Island, Thames Estuary .
Well done Danny keep it up 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼😎
Cheerspal 👍🍺
Great vid. Keep it up.
It’s funny how you pointed out Troxy as you was out drinking. It was actually built in the 1933 on an old brewery site ironically for £250,000 around £18m today. Cinema and stage performances with some famous comedians and singers/bands entertaining there.
I remember going through this area once, didn’t really find it that rough, but yet again it was during the day
Drinking in a hood, where they don't drink ? Well dodgy.. u should invite Danny Dyer with you next time...😂
Thought that if i find a pub in a non drink area it'll be good....and they were. Think he's to busy hosting junk game shows now 🤣
th-cam.com/users/shorts-U2fqBaSXjM?si=O29D4NdsHoQSXdny
Check that 2 guys in first pub recognized u! 😂 Nice 1 ✌️🏴
🤣 they know good content 🤣
@@honestplaces Great minds bro. Great minds.😂😂😂
You should try these pubs on a Friday night, Saturday night or Sunday afternoon mate.
Thank you for sharing another wonderful video pal much respect and appreciation love from Dublin
Cheers pal. Over in dublin in afew months! 👍🍺
@@honestplaces Excellent pal have a great time might see you for a drink
Rubbish
Interesting what the PC said about the Isle of Dogs. I knew an old guy who grew up in Stepney in the 1930s. He said that locals always talked about 'the island' as if it was a remote and scary place.
Hi Danny great video mate
Cheers pal 👍🍺
Love wendall’s channel too, reckon your body cam is a bit more discreet. Is what it is though 😆👍
We all work differently! 👍🍺
It's so weird seeing you both together because I watch both of your channels
Dream team 🤣
Good video lad 👊
Cheers pal 👍🍺
The crown it's a decent pub, but very much for the locals, my dad's old local. Landlords never changed been there since I was a kid, recently went back still remember me nearly 20 years later
Yeh deffo a locals vibe there. Seemed welcoming though
Be sure to visit the Kray family plot up at Chingford Mount Cemetery (Go in through the cemetery gate, opposite the Church and walk straight ahead for probably 1/4 mile and where there is a sharp right hand bend in the road, the Kray plot is in front of you, slightly to the right).
Beware, whilst you are there, you will feel like you are being watched (It has a proper feel about the place)!
You'll get a good view of London from up there too!! 🔭
Love your channel.. funnily enough I'm in London for a week at end of May..
Sadly my relatives don't drink and they would frown upon me wanting to enter a pub😂😂😂.. would have been great to have a pint with you.
Cheers pal 👍 Carpenter arms does draught non alcoholic. Great pub. Convince them 👍👍🤣
@@honestplaces I'm a huge fan of East end villains from the 60s.. that 90% of what I watch. I personally think im bit of an expert at this stage
🙈
Cash only pub . Nice 🎉
This is the biggest crossover since ET was in Star Wars
Used to drink in the Joker up by seven kings railway station. Cracking pub
Still open?
@@honestplaces
No sure mate, was years ago. Across the road was a club called The Shannon Centre, crazy nights in there as well
If you're in Wales try the Pandy Inn, up the Rhondda valley's. Full by 09:30 every morning. Have a pint with Rocking Roy, barmy lad
Or down the road towards Ilford, pub called the Cauliflower awesome back in the day.
Massive pub, first time in there Halloween 1993,live band like Bad Manners, what a night
My first thought if you two walked in and I didn't know you would be undercover police 😅
Columbia rd is very canny in tower hamlets, i know ur looking for rough pubs but the pubs there are salt of the earth, there is a pub called the Birdcage, and the Queen Vic in eastenders was modelled on it, i lived in a place called old market square, next to Columbia Rd for seven months some while ago, the flat is valued now at £465,000. Up north were I'm from, it would cost about 90k for that type of property, just thought i would share a bit of info with the viewers. Cheers.
Nice one!
Love these drinking videos, always a pleasure to have a pint with you lad.
Big up my guy love to wendall. I watch his channel I will be back in benidorm later on in the year.
Never drink in a pub with a flat roof , neck oil eh? Nice video nice seeing you both do one cheers bud 🍺🍺
Brilliant channel. In those types of pubs, I'd just use the bodycam, though 🍺
cheers pal. yeh gotta be incognito
worro mucka! i remember Wendall going around Blakenhall Heath (not far from me) not long ago, fair play to him.
enjoy and tek it easy, lads
🍺👍
Decent area to be fair. Pubs are quite unique! 👍🍺🍺
Should have gone to the Palm Tree in Mile End Park or The Half Moon on Mile End Road if you're still round there! I used to go the the Half Moon a lot as went to uni near there.
One you missed around the back of Commercial Rd which can highly recommend for proper proper East London regulars is The Prince Regent! Just around the corner to the pub you went in The Crown! Was also in the film Big Fat Gypsy Gangster! Definitely not a hipster gentrification generation pub😂
I was down London a few weeks ago for work. Got taken out at Covent Garden then Leicester Square, but give me the pub in this video any day, proper pub and down to earth people.
Yeh outskirt rough and ready ones are always the best!
The Troxy isn’t a cinema it’s a event hall, they hold boxing tournaments there a fair bit.
Yeah, there's some places that aren't going to take kindly to a couple of dudes bowling in, filming from the off, but that's what makes what you do interesting - we get to see the first impression.
G’day from Oz mate, I sort of thought English boozers would be rough around football times ?
Yeh they very much are....if yoi wear a top in the wrong pub it's curtains 🤣
Can I recommend a visit to the furthest furthest depths of East Lancashire. Particularly the Royal Dyche in Burnley, The Lord Nelson (the zoo) in Nelson and the Market Tavern in Colne
Great collab, well done 👏 you should come to Wakefield for a pub crawl with me and the lads, good times shall be had
There is one nice flat roof pub. The Heron, London W2
Afew people said that. Shame I was too busy to get to it
This was a trip down memory lane for me watching this. I used to go to TROXY for DNB raves back in the day before the ticktock generation ruined it. Love the video. You should spread out towards Essex while your in the London area maybe film in places like Dagenham
Maga those raves! Always a sesh! Cheers pal 👍 deffo gonna scope out more in London
I know a decent flat roof pub, the Double Top at Inkersall, Chesterfield. Very reminiscent of the Horse and Jockey in Shameless 😂
I mean... Except for a couple of streets you showed, that neigborhood didnt seem rough at all. Nice buildings, very green, nice street and sidewalks... Seems pretty decent to me! :)
Eccles has some of the roughest pubs I've been in, quality pubs though! In the centre there's about 6/7 pubs within 200m.
Need a trip back it seems
@@honestplaces Same I've not been for a few years, Oldham (where I live) town centre's lost a load of good pubs through a dogshit council so I always venture out now.
great vids
Cheers pal 👍
Im suprised you managed to find so many spit and saw dust places in east London, the vast majority all look like that place you went to!! The Builders Arms was a good one in Stratford before it closed
Should come to Aberdeen and do some old pubs by the docks
There are some good pubs on the isle of dogs. A few rough ones
Seems good to me. Thank you for the video.
Cheers pal 👍
The pubs don't seem to be that rough, Spit and sawdust yh, But rough come on.
Come to Bristol and try "the Packhorse" and the "criterion"
They walkable from the city centre? Heading Bristol in a couple of months
Superb content, instantly subscribed, my kind of videos.
Should get you a couple of pints in Arkwright bar in Plungington Road Preston - a locals local👍
No nonsense folk drink in there - you would feel welcome. Cheers🍻
Every place you seem to go with a Birmingham.London scotland always seems to be pissing down a rain
Follows me mate!
Did you notice how clean the streets were?
Should’ve gone to Canning Town newham few pubs along barking road
You need to get to Sarf London. Peckham, Brixton, lewisham...
The White Hart was once the roughest pub in London. The Beggar only has the reputation of Cornells killing.
If you wanna see some proper London, take a stroll through some of the streets in South East London
you guys should come to Liverpool together do Everton, Dingle, Old Swan, Anfield...
This one probably the roughest I reckon, Gamma Ray! 😅
Still think Big Wave is better 🤣
You need to visit these pub’s on a Friday or Saturday night to get the proper Exprience
Gonna do a night out soon. Needed 👍
Oh shit that dartboard was a London Fives one 😮 never seen one in real life
That's "pukka" you spotted tht, top-marks my man
Have you ever visited Ireland on the channel? Two pubs I can think of would be interesting to see, The Auld Triangle where it's heavily rumoured nobody with an English accent will be served, and Noctors which is well known as the roughest pub in Ireland.
Great guys in London
u were lucky to find a pub still open in tower hamlets
Love the vids your not nervous like your mate but people
See pubs as a safe place so the rougher the pub the less people will like the cameras pretty straight forward really beter to be solo than flashing the hand held at everyone
I was born n rasied in tower hamlet, the street you was standing on in the starting of your video Cornwell street e1 outside of shadwell Station I spent most of life their in Newton House the last building I must say It is safe out their .
Still live there pal?
Used to live in Tower Hamlets for about a year.
Any good?
@@honestplaces To be honest I really liked it, I used to live close to a small park (King Edward Memorial Park). I could see Canary Wharf from there, sitting by the Thames River and it was also few minutes walk to a Shadwell station. I had few places I liked to take a walk, literally few minutes walk from the place I used to live. I was unfortunately forced to move away from there due to one particular person I will not mention here. I moved then close Mile End, did not stay long there as I went through a bit of nightmare again due to another person (roommate) I barely knew. I then moved to Woodford/Woodford Green and lived there amazing 4 years, no issues at all, got some help from wonderful people as I helped a bit too, it was really amazing place to live. I moved out of London eventually, lived in London slightly more than 10 years. I moved out of Tower Hamlets once, but years later went back for another 4 years, living with Japanese people that were amazingly kind and warm. I lived 1 year in Japan too.
I used to play football for the Crown years ago.
but people on the internet keep telling me Tower hamlets is a no go area 😄😄
That's what i was told 🤣
It’s interesting to see these videos. Man the pubs in America can actually get scary. Pubs you really don’t want to walk into. Of course a lot of the time, if you have the balls to, you will be met by very friendly sketchy people! Just don’t want to get on there bad side haha
I thought they were called bars in murica
@@ethanc1719 they def are haha
Mate go to a Millwall pub on match day ;)
that blonde cop is a beauty :)
Cool vid
Cheers pal 👍
The.east end is the east end of the city of London starts at aldgate and runs up to. Mile end from wapping out bethnal green is east end thats why its called eastend east end of the city of London
you should drink in Whitburn in Scotland at some point
Scotland summer one coming up. Where is that?
Grand a month hahahah good luck
Yeh looking back atleast double 🤣
I no
High rise block of council flats are 3 grand a month apartments to you guys? 😂
