a ghost cam cam with sound amazing in a Ferrari f8 or a Lamborghini Aventador. It would make either one of them sound like the old race cars from the 60s. Because Ferrari and Lamborghini used to chop back in the 60s. Like the Ferrari 300 P4 . Or the Lamborghini miura jota. Those two cars would chop hard !
2020 GT500 if that helps. Sorry if my question came off brash, I really appreciate you making this video it has cleared up a lot for me. Using mapped points for SD has been tricky as well, prior to this I was looking at SD tables for GM, much easier to understand
Completely irrelevant, but I wanted to "ghost cam" my 1uz vvt. It's a quad-cam set up and stock cams are aggressive in life and duration. I was told to just change my cam angle
I mean, that’s basically how it works. Say you have a cam with 240 degree duration. If your adjusters adjust up to 40 degrees, then you technically now have a 280 degree cam if you have your adjusters maxed out. That’s how you get the chop
@@lieutenantmikeo5979 well, I don’t know the exact values to change them to, but essentially, the more you adjust your cam angle at idle speed, the more it’ll chop
You want to be above 730 for proper oil pick up but at 900 your prob running into optimal stability distance column caps where it’s going in and out of the overlapped cam table and a non overlapped table. I shoot for 750 or 810 depending on the generation and set up
I have a Lund Tuner on my PP1 2015 with Kooks LTH Kooks Race Cats and MBRP Street Mufflers. First question is could a Ghost Cam tube be loaded on the Lund?
I’m running shorties, catless y pipe all the way to the back straight piped to a dual backend borla muffler with 4inch tips would a ghost cam be fine? Just making sure the exhaust I made is fucking excellent however just wanna clarify only cats will be messed up by ghost cam
I rarely run the ghost cam but I will tomorrow. Last time I ran it my car cut off at a stop light. Scared the crap out of me lol im curious about your theory as to why this happens? 2017 Mustang GT, pypes lth, hfc, and corsa xtreme exhaust
@@tommy_s550 ah being a Gen 2 that definitely shouldn’t happen. It’s likely your fuel trims, the cam degrees are too far overlapped or it needs some fueling adjustments. I’d love to see if I can clean that up for you. Shoot me a text 315-767-8302
Unfortunately not. Only through advanced tuning software. If you’d like I can tune this, E85 and whatever else you’d like. Message me on Facebook at Mustangdoctor or email destal@mustangdoctor.org
This is a special logic Ford has. I don’t know of anyone doing it on the Challenger but I might be able to do it with the over and underspeed tables. Is your ECU unlocked already?
I’m not sure you could tune it for the challenger. You may be able to achieve it through over and under speed idle control, but Dodge wouldn’t have the same VVT logic for the cams.
Great question, our cam tune does because we set the overlap at idle and then dial up the intake duration up top under optimal performance so you get the real aftermarket cam effect for $2k less lol
@@mustangdoctor3834. aside from cam table, is there anything else on the tune or any other table you had to mess with to get it to idle? Like spark or fuel?

I have a quick question with the GC when I’m cruising and let off it will drop down to 450-700 and then go back up and when idle it will drop down to 450 go back to normal idle 750-950. Would you know why it will drop like that?

Excellent information. This clears up a lot.
So what if the intake mapped points doesn’t show a negative 20? Also what distance table controls idle?
@@TechTarmac-e3c you can change it. But there’s likely more you’ll need to do so it doesn’t effect drivability
