Being honest, I own one and it have never felt or looked like plastic to me in no way whatsoever regardless what Neumann could say but it's true that many people made the same mistake while reviewing it so somehow it must to give that impression. Really good actually. Plenty of drive with plenty of headroom left. I specially love that Neumann did not shy away from the low mid information. Definitely beefy without being muddy or muffled. Although high end is smooth, I still tend to over doit or under doit to compensate sometimes. Overall, great headphones but now I’m curious about the NDH-30s.
