I am planning on getting one tomorrow for my new 2014 raptor! But i live in a townhome community in downtown dallas. Is this too loud as I leave at 6am daily. I know i will love the sound but dont want to wake everyone up everytime i start it
Pearce Trenary I don’t know if you ever got it but I think it will be fine, it has a loud startup but quiets down about 20 seconds after as it warms up, doesn’t make a ton of noise unless you stomp on it, I had a g37 with an injen catback before I bought the raptor and if your used to tuner cars than this is loud but nowhere near as loud to annoy the neighbors
From my research, no. I've read a lot of posts about gen 2 owners selling and going to gen 1 for reliability. The 6.2 is built proof compared to the twin turbo Ecoboost. I have also talked with many mechanics about this and they also have confirmed. With the said, I just purchased a 2013 gen 1 in terrain color specifically for reliability and longevity. So far, the truck is a beast.
