Everyone forgets to mention the rear turret on this new line is 360 degree.
Well, that's one way to make German BB's viable again.... just create a new BB line altogether.
GK is insanely good in smaller games like 7 vs 7 rankeds where you dont get nuked by multiple HE spammers. I had like 160k avg damage and 70% wr in season going with GK almost every game. Eating Kremlins alive is pure fun when Kremlin cannot do anything.
Pushing ships will never shine in typical random full of Yoshinos and Thunderers. Doesnt mean they are bad ...
Plus Preussen will be even better. Overmatch is overmatch. There is reason why Ohio is better Montana even without counting secondaries despite having 33% less barrels.
Ive honestly really enjoyed it. Way more enjoyable than the FDG.
Downside with going stern in on the PR is that you only have 1 of the 3 150mm turrets pointing to the rear.
I'm starting to regret my decision to grind the standard German BBs. I was looking to get the premium GK, but I'm not sure if it's gonna be with the Shliffen in the game. And soon we'll get the Preussen too.😅 Let's cross our fingers and hope that the old ones get some love too, with a few buffs!😊
Finish the grind. Basically a free premium commander trainer and credit maker.
They need to buff bismarck and tirpitz now!

There is No Fucking Way GK plays better than Schliffen, forget GK.
Probably best to go ahead and get GK before they move it to a coal ship. That way you get a free special ship at tier X and can get Preussen to boot. Although you could go for the Schlieffen and use the free exp gained to get through the bad ships of the standard BB line, I’m looking at you FDG.
A bit bittersweet about this line. I’d much rather have the Bismarck line have great secondaries as they were real ships. I’ve got the T7 and it’s great fun but it’s objectively better than the gneisenau, which actually existed
Sucks because Gneisenau is the peak of the normal german line hahaha
@@dzello id argue Bismarck is the height of the German line, but with how bad T8 matchmaking is, Gneisenau is definitely a contender as tbh T7 matchmaking sucks as well but its nice not seeing T10s
@@poopsie117 Nope, it's Gneisenau. With Bismarck, you lose the torps, you lose the speed, you lose the 128s secondaries, you lose AA... All for a back gun. Gneisenau is the best German battleship before the new line, the only thing holding it down is being tier 7 so it has a a bad matchmaking. Also, FDG is actually better than Bismarck as well. Bismarck is only better than Kurfurst.
@@dzello The weird thing is that it's not even that important. You can use the torpedoes to create situations OR to brawl, not to mention that if you aim them well, they actually hit.
The Bismarck's extra turret has the potential to do damage, but with the punishing lack of accuracy of the German guns you realistically get to use it far less than you would the torps.
Not to mention you become much larger and basically a farming target for everyone. At least the Gneisenau is narrower and easier to angle at things, with the added benefit of the bow plating (though people will still HE spam you since the superstructure is narrow, but covers a lot of the hull).

Yeah I love this ship also, cannot wait to get the Schlifen, my only gripe with the PR is the nose ice breaker seems to have an error as it only has a 30mm ice breaker and yet the tier 8 Zieten and tier 10 Schlifen has the normal 60 mm german ice breakers.

Such an interesting ship. I like how as soon as your auto secondaries get out of range soon after you can just go undetected. Really cool
As someone who also bought the EA because of the permaflages, PR has been extremely feast or famine with me. Great potential but literally any 16"+ gun BB taking potshots at you can and will lolpen / lolcitadel you from any angle.
I got Pommern B this Black Friday and with the mission that cames with it, i could finally buy my Günther Lütjens.
By the way, i can't believe his secondary buff is just 15%. It feels waaaaay more than that. My Pommern just spits shells like rain, it's just amazing.
I did a 275k and 500+ sec hits game yesterday with this ship and it was a lot of fun !
My build is a little different : i have demo expert intead of gun feeder, and damage con mod 2 instead of steering gears mod 1
These ships are fragile so you really have to know how to angle your ship and know when you have to push or not (don't suicide)

This is the first ship in the line that really holds its own. Nothing better than getting in someone’s smoke and then unleashing the secondaries.
I managed to get Zieten but I can't really afford Rupprecht yet so I'll just wait to get it with XP once it's out. I know that Schlieffen is going to be the ship with the best secondaries in the entire game, beating the GK, Pommern and any other well known secondary-focused ship. But I have to say, I'm not really feeling the Zieten much. I don't know if it will suddenly get far better with Rupp, or if I just suck, but I am definitely excited to get Schlieffen.
because Zieten is absolute piece of shit . 6 inaccurate guns ... nuff said. And I will always remember shooting Zieten that was stuck nose in with 2 guns in front shooting me while I mauled it with HE :D. Heinrich is good so is Rupprecht and Schliffen but that piece of shit Zieten just cannot be good. 2 guns in front of BB ... that is just not gonna work. Every 2ndary ship still relies on main guns to great degree.
Prinz Rupprecht is outstanding i went into a battle with a div mate who was using pommern and we dominated the whole battle together, i ended up getting a Kraken with my PR.
Agincourt secondary build 8.3Km range at level V. I go towards the destroyers and let the secondaries light them up.

Back then when only one line existed I wanted to grind the german BB line for their amazing secondaries. I made it to the Bismarck (halfway to Friedrich) and then stopped playing the game for something like 2 years. When I came back about 2 weeks ago i suddenly see there's another BB line and that new line has the strong secondaries, suddenly and really strong torpedos . So I grinded all the way to Bismarck for absolutely nothing.
Really pisses me off
Fun ship! Torps are a tad slow so i just use them to spam. Cant wait for Schlieffen
I'm only at the T7, but that's really nice too, imo. It's really fun, and works surprisingly well considering that i think of T7 as the worst possible Tier in the entire game.

Classic WG instead of fixing the problem caused by 10.0 and the new bandaid fix that still doesn’t bring mansec back to what it was they just release a shiny new line with baked in accuracy.

I was gonna "now why would you play the normal German bbs anymore" but I can see why you would choose armor and less secondary dpm instead of more secondary dpm but less armor.
Only have the T7 Prinz so far and I'm frustrated with the main guns. So far i was going with a hybrid build, but so far everyone recommended full secondaries, so i try it again.
Also I think the prinz heinrich the teir 7 is also really fun !
It is! Especially for Ranked.
Definitely keep Heinrich and Rupprecht for Ranked and some other Game modes. Even bought a perma camo for Heinrich since its a ship that I really enjoy
The T10 is gunna be even better... bigger 420 main guns, faster reload on the 420s than the rupprecht 406s and even more secondaries. Cant wait! WG already has my $$ on release day.
Dude i just love this boat, funny asf and kind of easy
well the guns seem to be quite consistent, with the occasional miss. The guns themselves are FDG guns with Bismarck alpha on AP. So the guns are not very good on Rupert, but they are great on Zieten, Pz Heinrich and Mackie. As for Schlieffen, mixed thoughts about the guns, they are consistent, but their pen isn't very good, but they slap cruisers real hard.
Secondaries, are well, one word, AMAZING
Concealment is great, speed is great
Armor is decent
Russian dmg con is nice
Quite the battlecruiser line ngl
I've always preferred the jovial You tube PQ to the slightly aggravated streaming version PQ

I use the torps when i close with heavy battleships, as you mentioned the guns are a little soft. They make a good augment to forcing a distraction or direction change of the enemy. Its a good boat, schlieffen is the only other boat that is an absolute nightmare to close with.

You wait till you get the Schlieffen. I'm a poor player, just had a 204k game. 2 Kills. 57k Primary AP, 109k Secondaries from 696 hits. 37k fires (all secondaries). I was focused by the enemy CV from around 5 minutes in. Died towards the end, but boy was it fun. 89k to a Republic who didn't know where to shoot me.
The main guns are hit and miss. I've had a 43k Devstrike on a Petro and 1295 to a full broadside Columbo in the same game. But it is soooooo much fun.

Are you still playing Legends at all? I’m torn because I hate subs and cv’s but really wish we had the secondary performance and IFHE pen on the Legends battleships.

I swear they changed the main guns after the first week and didn't say anything. They were accurate and got hard early on and I think they toned it down because of how well the ship was performing
They do that crap all the time and then more on top of that. I don't know why they had to mess with the Massachusetts Why? Its a 50 dollar ship compared to that teck tree free ship. Efin WG nerf a premium ship that makes money been In game for years why you WG morons. Just like the Thunderer also and many others...........

Its weird to have a ship where the secondaries are better than the main guns, considering this goes against basically all the naval doctrine of their time
Ill disagree on the main guns. Ive found they are very accurate and slap pretty hard. The occasional wonky salvo like all ships, but still on par with most 16in guns. The cruiser like dispersion helps.

Doesn't really gives you any advantage that is gamebreaking. Its more of a quality of life improvement.
The Heal counter on the left bottom should be ingame on its own... Replay mod aswell...
But WG is too busy making Premium Ships instead of improving the game quality (looking at you, damn Port Bugs)
That aft turret just doesn't make any sense on those ships. :D
