What you describe as "Irish Music" is simply the style that was played accross western Europe up until about 120 years ago. Search for English PEnny Broadsides or Manchester's Improving Daily (obv. not the recent reggae version, though that version is awsome in it's own right) and you'll find plenty of examples of this type of music with no connections to Ireland. The Dropkick's style in particular has it's roots as much in Scottish folk music as Irish, as well as good old English Oi!
