Matt in a few weeks. Ok we’re going to set our shutter speed to 1/16,000, make sure HSS is turned off…
It will be really cool to see how much you can push the A9iii flash power over ambient vs an ND filter at sync speed. I don’t really know if it will be fairly similar or you might get an extra stop or two getting the shutter speed around your flash duration. It will be really cool if you can get more out of a 200 then a current 400. Then of course the action shots will crush HSS performance. I’m really looking forward to that and the new work flow of getting the most out of your flash with an A9iii. I would imagine setting shutter speed so it doesn’t exceed flash duration, tweaking delay so it’s perfectly synced. Then I’ll be curious if that delay will be consistent for all flash powers or all wescott 200s or all wescott 200s and 400s or whether it’s necessary to tweak at all.

I been bouncing back and forth between getting the 3 FJ200 kit or the 2 FJ400 kit. I needed to see this! Although you get 1 less light, I think I’ll go with the 400.

Great one. If you are shooting portraits mostly in the evening, would the difference between the two strobes be less if you aren't having to overpower the sun? And 185 texts waiting for you...man.

Yes you can! It actually come with one.
Could you do one at sunset and compare ?
I could possibly do that some time! The result would be more similar I would think because the sun wouldn’t be as challenging to overcome as it is during the middle of the day.
