On our 2016 Malibu with 59k miles has had GM repair "shift to park" twice and it still does it occasionally. Agree, paying high $$ for fix is not successful for very long.
Yes you can fix it. But I have seen other people have fixed it and it will have the same problem. The car manufacturer don't fix their mistakes sometimes. If mine goes bad I will modified it instead of replacing it with the new one. Because I know it will have the same problem. That's is why I made this video on how to deal with this type of problem I believe this is a recall on Chevy Malibu's and Cruze's.
