  • Hey loves!
    Today, I’m sharing my pre-relaxer wash day routine, everything I do ONE WEEK before relaxer day. This process helps in strengthening, hydrating and new growth.
    Relaxer day is approaching! I’m currently 9 weeks post relaxer and I plan on relaxing my new growth at 10 weeks post. I’m changing my relaxer re-touch to every 10-12 weeks.
    Watch until the END for tips!
    Please don’t forget to comment, like, share and subscribe.💕

    Thank you, Black women on TH-cam. They tell me I'm not Black enough bc of my skin, but my hair begs to differ. This was PERFRCTION! I even made my own protein stitch with banana, avocado, coconut oil, egg, and love. Best turnout ever!❤❤❤

      Okay so let’s try use a clarifying shampoo atleast once a month.
      Use a surface free shampoo on the other wash days.
      Deep condition at every wash(alternate between protein and moisture.)
      Try scalp oils and massage 😉

    Thanks for sharing. What relaxer do you use?
    Do you know what i can use for my itchy scalp. Its always itchy but i never have any flakings

    • @PalesaM1
      @PalesaM1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I use the Mizani butter blends relaxer.
      Itchy scalp can be an indication for f dryness or irritation. You need to figure out.
      Wash your hair with a sulphate free shampoo.
      Be careful not to put the conditioners directly onto your scalp as this can cause irritation
      Sometimes it can be more serious like eczema or psoriasis on the scalp and if you so you need to seek help from a medical professional.

    My air-drying is still not perfect but I find that it comes out much better when my hair is properly detangled and I have to run my fingers regularly to smooth the hair otherwise it won't dry straight.

      @@PalesaM1 I have a question
      I want to apply black Jamaica custor oil on my hair have no clue or what so ever on how it works. Pls help how many times a day? Do I apply it on wet or dry hair and also can i use leave in conditioner while applying the black Jamaica custor oil?

    • @PalesaM1
      @PalesaM1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It can be used as a scalp oil but beware it’s very thick.
      You can add it to your deep conditioner on wash day

  • @forgirlslikeus

    I think my hair is going through that high grow fatigue and has started breaking again and scalp flaking. I wash and treat every weekend with a deep conditioning treatment. At first it was so good but 5 weeks into the routine it’s shedding a bit more again plus I’m not using any protein 😢

    • @PalesaM1
      @PalesaM1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hygral fatigue.
      It’s okay, we can get back to healthy hair. Prioritise protein treatments or use a leave in with protein. Also put your hair away in loose braids or a twist out.
      I’ve reduced my wash days to every 2 weeks and my hair is recovering nicely.
      Coconut oil is said to help with this if you use it as a prepoo

    Any tips for first time relaxers? I was told that you shouldn’t wash your hair for two weeks before relaxing? Is this true or is it important to wash hair before relaxer?

    • @PalesaM1
      @PalesaM1  ปีที่แล้ว

      True.
      Do a protein or reconstructive treatment.
      Leave your hair and scalp alone(no oiling/ massages.)
      Go to a reputable salon, relaxing virgin hair properly needs a professional 😉

      Stop doing hairstyles like tight braids or glueing your wigs directly into your hairline.
      Deep condition at every wash day.
      Oil your hairline and massage 2-3 times a week.
      Use a satin bonnet or pillowcase to protect your hair when you sleep.
      Use a wig glue remover don’t just rip your wig off
