I love this! Living in a border region with more than one culture is a blessing. For westerners, Dai people are culturally and linguistically related to Thai people in nearby Thailand and Laos. That's why they have a water splashing festival in Yunnan. Frankly, every (hot) place on earth should adopt this custom. A squirt gun festival during hot summers is pure genius. 😁

Now just let them go back to where they should go, this is Buddha's land, not Allah's. If there are no Buddhists in Arabia, why do Buddhist countries take in Muslims?

How cool is it to go to anyone’s home and eat. Amazing hospitality. I think I know what that blood dish is. We have it in Vietnamese dishes, but we use duck blood. I love it, it’s a favourite, but not many people know how to make it properly. Also, you can’t really get to at Restaurants either. So any interesting cultures and what people do and how they eat. 近30年前，我就去過西雙版納，只有藍天白雲綠樹和傣寨，真是乏善可陳，路旁最多的是烤吳郭魚，現在真是進步，看來，還要再去一趟。

Yeah the Dai people in this video (Tai lue) or လူးရှမ်း in Burmese is mostly the same language as the Shans in Myanmar

I really like the atmosphere of markets. People sitting with their products beautifully displayed, chatting, talking to customers,...all of them are lively, bustling and fun. How cool is it to go to anyone’s home and eat. Amazing hospitality. I think I know what that blood dish is. We have it in Vietnamese dishes, but we use duck blood. I love it, it’s a favourite, but not many people know how to make it properly. Also, you can’t really get to at Restaurants either. So any interesting cultures and what people do and how they eat.
