Thank you for watching! I am still learning myself after all these years and try to treat each video as if I new loomer is watching. I know it may annoy some when I go over basics each time but I know it helps new loomers. I'm appreciative of every subscriber I have here.
Thank you so much for such great instructions. Always wanted to use these looms and had NO IDEA how they worked. I can knit, and crochet, but had to teach myself by turning the book upside down as I'm left handed. (Same way I taught myself to play Guitar!) But with RA and occasional carpal tunnel (I'm permanently disabled) bothering me on long detailed projects I find this amazingly easy and so simple to do! I love it and your videos. Thanks for helping me to keep my love of arts and crafts alive! I adore Quilting, Cross stitch, and Embroidery too! I'm too young to hang up my yarn and needles yet! (56!) So you have no idea how much I appreciate this! These tears are from JOY! Bless YOU Virginia! Can't wait to get a long loom to go with these as well! I'll be watching all your videos! Muah Dear! I so appreciate this! Suzi
Just starting to learn how to loom and your videos are the BEST! You explain things so well, show what your doing so we can see it and I love that you answer your viewers back! I will be seeing a lot of you, lol. Thanks and thanks!!!
Hon, your loom knitting posture is just like mine! Also, we could be twins! Which makes you more relatable than many other loom knitting tutorials. You are a real person.
I COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER!!!!!!! I could hug you. You are the only person I have found that explains this to where I can understand it. Thank you SO much. I haven't gotten to see your other videos yet but please keep making them. If you can teach other stitches or patterns that would be awesome. Thank you SO much. :) VIRGINIA, IN ADDITION YOU ARE SO GOOD AT THIS.

Thank you for making a normal, easy to follow video. This is my first blanket and I'm still new to knitting. I cannot understand the knitting terms in most of the blanket videos. Hopefully I'll get there one day! Thanks again!!
Thanks for your video. This is the simplest blanket video that I have seen on here, and it's very easy. You talk to us like were right there with you, and I appreciate that. Your videos are new to me, where can I see more?. I recently taught myself to knit, and crochet, thanks to you tube, and have been doing the round looms for about 2 years now, and bought myself the square looms at the same time , and just decided to start working on them now. So Thanks again for your videos.
Thanks, Virginia! I love that this project is not overwhelming to a newbie like me. And THANK YOU for explaining that purling prevents curling!!! I have been through several people's videos, plus the book that came with my loom, and nobody else mentioned that.
THANK YOU!!! I'm totally new to working to anything creative. You're video, is the 1 I've been searching for. Now I know what others are doing/showing other how to create. I've literally never seen how to make any kind of blanket. They only showed the ewrap for hats or when using the round loom. I now understand what the others were saying. Thank again, hope I can find many more of your videos.........
Exactly. It's about finding the right looms FOR YOU. However, I do have an "S" type loom to make 5ft wide blankets but that was a gift. If you need a wider blanket then you can make panels with this one and sew them together. :)
I really like the way you go through things step by step. The counter was a great idea! Thanks for the type. I also will incorporate adding the tail of my slip stitch onto the loom, vs letting it hang,. I started a quilt on a small loom and thought that I could do rows and then sew them together but using the e stitch, it does roll really bad. So I will try it on the larger loom. I want to prevent it from curling, which videos teach a different stitch that will not roll on me. I really appreciate your videos and great explanation
Thank you. The garter stitch helps with curling. You can do smaller squares this way and sew together like you wanted. th-cam.com/video/9hLijHF4B5I/w-d-xo.html
OMG!!!! Your tutorial is so awesome! I have been watching video after video trying to figure how to use my loom. Your video helped me so very much! Thank you!

Thank you! I got a loom like this for Christmas and was wondering if I could thread it in this manner, and you've shown me that you can! Lovely work you've done, too - I will gladly subscribe! :)
Did you do a garter stitch at the begining and end? If not, you could try blocking it or adding a crochet border around. I don't have a video on adding that because I don't do it.
You can invest in an "S" type loom that should create a wide, adult size panel (blanket). It would be similar to the DA Loom Infinity II loom I have a few videos on but they are no longer for sale. Try CindiWood looms. Or, you can make panels with the biggest loom you have and then sew together.
I have been crocheting for over 40 yrs and more but since I have fibromyalgia and other bone related diesies I bought 2kb kitting loomsand I don't know what I want to try first plus I have so much yarn to choose from I will be Definitely checking out more if ur vids u make it so easy thanks 😘

Just cast on and e-wrap around the loom, then wrap the loom again and knit over. You can alternate between knitting and purling to help the blanket not to curl.

Can you show us some of your complete work? Also can you tell me where can I buy a wooden loom? Because I was looking at investing as I'm looking to do some permanent projects. Thank you for showing your work 😊❤😊😊😊
I either show my completed work in the videos by use photos or actually holding the completed work. Also, I may show on my Simply Intertwined Facebook page. (Link is in the description box). Some wooden looms can be bought at Knittingboard.com. Other sites like Amazon or Walmart might have some too.
What I learned if if you knit a row, then purl a row, then knit a row, then purl a row (repeat this process a few times and it will help). Also, you can "block" the blanket when done, by wetting it and laying it out flat to dry.

So much knitting so much love into my blanket I did get a little confused on when I had to skip the stage but don't worry I did figured out because when we had skipped the first one I just got a little bit confused at the shop that I figured it out it's actually never worked like this and illuminating
I have a lot of my blanket done but my bottom and sides are rolling what can I do about it. At the begining I have cast on using the E-wrap and the 2nd row Purled 3rd row purled then the rest is E-wraped but it is stilled rolling. I even put in 2 more purl rows over half way down to give it a little of my own style and to try to stop the rolling. Help me please!!
hi i had a question i have the blue loom i think its...14-15 inches..do you think it would look right if i did afew sections and tied (sew) the sections together and make a big blanket?..its for my boyfriend and he likes the bigger blankets...Ideas?
It depends on how big the person is honestly. You may have to make panels and sew them together. I'm plus size so I would have to but again, depends on the size of the person. :)
Virginia Galligan i'd need panels myself but it's for my tiny 5 foot grandma lol i don't know how to make a shawl just started looming a cpl weeks ago and she just got put in nursing home and wants something for the chilly dining room ty for your reply
I am not sure what that loom is, is it the one from this video? Most likely you will need all pegs and possibly to make panels and sew together. It can depend on the size of the adult you are making it. The same goes for rows. The best way is to use a tape measure as you work and figure on at least 5-6 ft long. Width almost the same as length, which is why you might need to make panels.
I would say you definitely need to make panels and sew together then unless you have a bigger loom designed to make blankets like an "S" shaped, infinity type one. Keep a row counter next to you to make sure you make all the panels the same length.
@CraftyQT You most likely would have to do it while you are looming the blanket. As I mentioned in the video, you can start with the garter stitch all away across for so many rows, then switch to only doing a certain amount of pegs at the beginning and end of your room. The "middle" of the loom would be a different stitch. Then end the blanket with garter stitch all away across the loom for as many times as you did at the start of the project.
Hi Virginia, I did get my blanket off and it worked great. I do however have a point in my blanket where I skipped the peg every other time. My question is what if I don't do that? What if I just do all the pegs each time? I am going to add fringe to hide the point but I still have to make one more for my other niece.
It’s okay . I actually spoken someone in my knitting class yesterday she help me a lot too . I figure it out . It’s coming out really good I’m like half way done . It does take a long time though . Because I have to use different knitting loom and use the same measurement and same size of rolls .
You can "sew" them together either with a plastic needle that comes with some loom knit kits or use a crochet hook. If you have a big enough loom you might be able to place loops back on and attach panels that way. Check out my "Joining Squares" video for the idea: th-cam.com/video/sCRhhlJnMug/w-d-xo.html
Virginia I love ur videos on loom knitt I watch them over and over sometimes I get it sometimes I don't I was wondering how u make a baby blanket on a round loom I don't have a long one.
It doesn't on the size of the round loom. Like is it a Knifty Knitter loom? With round looms you sometimes need to make panels and sew together to get the width/length you want.
A lot of knitters show off, thanks for being nice and patient with new comers to loom knitting.

I have the 62 peg loom and just wondering how many pegs do I use for a adult blanket and how many rows do I use?
I am not sure what that loom is, is it the one from this video? Most likely you will need all pegs and possibly to make panels and sew together. It can depend on the size of the adult you are making it. The same goes for rows. The best way is to use a tape measure as you work and figure on at least 5-6 ft long. Width almost the same as length, which is why you might need to make panels.
Virginia Galligan yes it is the same one as in the video. my husband is 6' 4 tall.
I would say you definitely need to make panels and sew together then unless you have a bigger loom designed to make blankets like an "S" shaped, infinity type one. Keep a row counter next to you to make sure you make all the panels the same length.
hi im new to loom how do i make it not curl? and use 2 threads to thicken?
Can you use this same method for a blankent for an adult size blankent?
Yes but you may have to sew panels together to make it big enough.
Thanks so much im going this week to get a loom and start my FIRST project :)
Hi Virginia, I did get my blanket off and it worked great. I do however have a point in my blanket where I skipped the peg every other time. My question is what if I don't do that? What if I just do all the pegs each time? I am going to add fringe to hide the point but I still have to make one more for my other niece.
I'd love to see how the blanket came out. You could post a picture on my Facebook page.
I sent a friend request. I am diane lynne.
It’s okay . I actually spoken someone in my knitting class yesterday she help me a lot too . I figure it out . It’s coming out really good I’m like half way done . It does take a long time though . Because I have to use different knitting loom and use the same measurement and same size of rolls .
If I have several strips I want to combine to make a large blanket how do I attach them together?
You can "sew" them together either with a plastic needle that comes with some loom knit kits or use a crochet hook. If you have a big enough loom you might be able to place loops back on and attach panels that way. Check out my "Joining Squares" video for the idea: th-cam.com/video/sCRhhlJnMug/w-d-xo.html
i just started knitting, and my yarn gets tangled as i pull it out. any ideas on how to prevent that?
how do you cast off the odd ball stitch at the end ? and is there a way to bind off the knitting with out using a crochet needle ?
steffy2385 Usually a crochet hook helps and as for the "odd ball" it should cast off fine with the others.
Looks Awesome! I have the Looms!
Thanks! I haven't used them in a while but might pull them out over the next couple months.
Very good video. I have a problem with the loops getting tighter and tighter. What am I doing wro`g and how do I correct this? Thank you...
Try to watch your tension when wrapping the pegs. Check out this video of mine and see if it helps! th-cam.com/video/lqjVl8tooBk/w-d-xo.html
do you have a trick to keep the yarn from twisting when you use to strands?
Sometimes I use a yarn ball winder and wind the two skeins into "one" where I can have both strands together easier, I hope this makes sense.
