Yeah. That’s why I don’t like it when people say he improved so much or he should’ve got MIP last year. He was always good he just never had the chance to shine in the nba until last season
It's hard to predict especially how the NBA values length and "athleticism." The spotlight didn't really shined on him til the Mavs playoffs last season. But, good for us for signing him to 4 years "OVERPAID" ---yeah right....! lol
the NBA draft is mainly predicated on potential and athletic ability. if a 6'1" PG is completely developed and has alot of skill, but doesnt have jump out the gym athleticism, itll be hard for teams to take that player. This is because theres probably a 6'7" PG tht is more raw but is more athletic out there that an NBA team would rather build upon. College is also a completely different style than the NBA. NBA athleticism shines. College IQ shines.
@@staaticc Define athletic? The taller PGs are not more athletic than the smaller PGs, they’re taller which in basketball is a huge advantage but there’s more to athleticism than jumping up and getting to the rim/ball. Smaller PGs are generally faster, more agile, and have better ball handling because of their lower center of gravity. They also tend to be less injury prone that lengthy players.
And if you think the Villanova games were wild, you should have seen the parties lol I wasn’t on the basketball team but I played drug dealer for the college
You might have knowledge.. tell me recent college squads that had as many nba quality guys as Nova with Brunson Bridges Hart and Donte on 1 squad. Real rotation guys/starters
Jalen was only undervalued due to his size. Like Perk calls him, Big Body Brunson isn’t your average small PG. NBA execs saw him as slow and not athletic. They want Iverson or Isaiah in a small PG. Have to be quick. If he was 6’4 he’d probably would have been a 1st round pick.
As a Knicks fan, THANK YOU JALEN!!!! Make me believe it again!!!
Villanova doesn't play Villanova basketball anymore... but you know who does? The Knicks!
Let's go Knicks I'm so pumped our Knicks is gonna win today
Jalen Brunson!!!!!!!!!!!!! Knick legend!!!!!!!!!!!
NEW YORK FOREVER!!
His bump and post game is off the charts
If you look Jalen Brunson game has not changed he plays high gear basketball & hes a facilitator 👍
so happy he’s on the knicks
Lotta people just seeing these highlights now. Kid has been the goods since day 1! Should have been a top 5 draft pick!
Yeah. That’s why I don’t like it when people say he improved so much or he should’ve got MIP last year. He was always good he just never had the chance to shine in the nba until last season
He also had the chance to shine in the 2021-2022 mavs playoffs. Mavs be playing football the way they fumbled
He is a walking bucket. He is bout to grab that 1st team all nba. Everyone slept on him he def shoulda went lottery
amazes me how Brunson slipped to the 2nd round of NBA. Man was a 2x NCAA Champion and the best player on a championship team!

At this point he is underpaid
Because da draft is all about potential n not ability.

Factual

And if you think the Villanova games were wild, you should have seen the parties lol
I wasn’t on the basketball team but I played drug dealer for the college

LOUDER!!@@justinmendez6893
The legend💯💯
How many people ended up here because of what he's doing nationally at this point in the NBA playoffs? Brunson is THAT dude, deserves all the credit!
Brunson has a powerful weapon: mentality that is filled with calmness and discipline. He is playing with carefulness and intelligence.
Brunson got drafted in the second round, that’s crazy 😜
The Knicks got a good one
Yo these kids are crazy
He already had the moves back then, can't believe how overlooked he was in the draft.
KNICK PRIDE 🔶🔷!
there were really 5 nba players on their team at a time 6 if you count Arch
You gotta count Arch imo he’s been in the league in some capacity for several years now
That's kinda the norm for several teams that make NCAA championship runs like that nova squad did ... Collin Gillespie makes that 7
You might have knowledge.. tell me recent college squads that had as many nba quality guys as Nova with Brunson Bridges Hart and Donte on 1 squad. Real rotation guys/starters
I dont think Gillespie played with Josh Hart @@WW-ik7vr
MVP!!!
Brunson lookin like a young Chris Broussard in the thumbnail
*😭*
*🏆*
Divencenzo and Brunson was a duo
And Hart
King of NY
@5:11 Look @ the bench after this sequence. looks like a video game bench.
Bring us a championship in NY
so crafty
I personally thought his post-up game wouldnt translate to the NBA…im man enough to admit i was wrong
