      @@bladebruddahs6676 I thought I wanted the buck decatur for an office carry, but i'm having second thoughts that it'd be too big. i want it to fit inside a suit jacket chest pocket

      @@Marcusforealius Not sure if you're looking for a particular look but for office carry, I'd recommend the CEO. It looks like a slightly thicker pen so definitely wouldn't raise unwanted attention but will perform when you need it.

    I love gentlemen knives , not gonna threaten Karen’s if you pull it out to open a package, but more then capable in a self defense situation

      Hello, that is so true! I've recently had to carry more gentlemen-styled knives for work (in the office). Good thing I have a few to choose from!

    Own a Stylus and CEO. Also had a Freyr hatchet til it got stolen. I have become a big fan of CRKT. I try to recognize the quality of steel I'm buying and CRKT has met all my needs at a great value and 5 star aesthetics all around. Stylus and CEO don't need high quality steel for their intended carry, and the exposure and profile of the blades really lens to keeping a sharp edge with minimal effort. As for my axe.... Beat it good... Some throwing..... Some chopping..... Had to clean up the fit after some abuse, and the edge.... Love 1055, loved the axe.

    Just added a Buck Cavalier, excellent quality, great price,made in USA, lifetime guarantee by a solid family owned Business. Looks like a very small knife, or even a pen, in the pocket but looks are deceiving. Have been carrying a sheathed 110 for decades.

      It appears it is made in China, Bummer. It did come hair shaving right out of the package. I still love it anyway and have been using it a lot for a variety of tasks, including light Bushcraft. One of the best qualities is its stealthy profile in the pocket.

      I will add that it just field dressed a whitetail and then skinned and quartered it with ease.

    I got the CRKT CEO Bamboo. it came dull and when i tried to cut something the little blade stop pin didn't stop the blade from folding backwards. Since then I've put the pin back in the hole and tightened the screw and sharpened it, but now I don't trust it. so it's sitting in a drawer. I also have the CRKT SPEW, i really like it but they need to include a vertical mount, I had to order a ulticlip just so I could carry it

    As an FYI the thumb stud CEO can open just as fast as the flipper. Don't ride the thumb stud and just put the pressure on the side. As a bonus your forefinger is already on the side of the knife rather than behind it.

    I have the bamboo style CEO - works great. I got the flipper CEO and had to return it as it was defective: the force needed to open the blade was way too high, this was not a flipper it was a cruncher. Will get the Decatur as a affordable gentleman folder.

      Hey, thanks for the comment! Yes, I was eyeing the bamboo design too... Sorry to hear had problems with the flipper. Definitely try out the Decatur, it's quite nice (I'm always more partial towards wood handles).

      "Wood" you recommend the bamboo, or another style? Im trying to decide if i want a simple black, or something like a white, or bamboo/ something more interesting

  • @exexpat11

    It started with the Boker version which is super nice and smooth.
    Then came the CRKT version.
    Now the Buck 256 Decatur.
    I own the Boker $135 and the Buck $26. Never seen the CRKT and the clip is kind of retarded on it. The Buck is very close to the much more expensive Boker but the Boker is smoother. The Buck has a better finger activator than both. The Boker I have had to disassemble and apply locktite to the screws as they started backing out. The Boker has a Tokyo Blade shape and the Buck more of a Western Clip Point.

    • @narr0wm1nd49
      @narr0wm1nd49 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bladebruddahs6676 I think the only downside of the Samior is that they took the ultra low profile to an extreme. I've seen some complain about the clip being too small. Its too small for your double over denim jeans pocket because its more more like a pen clip for a thin cotton shirt. That said you can get it with several different blade steels and grips so they got one for every budget. I went with M390 and Ti.

    The CEO is potentially dangerous. The metal strip that is the liner lock does not position under the foot of the blade. Instead, the strip and the foot of the blade touch corner-to-corner. Their point of contact is less than a square millimeter. With a lot of use, one or both of those corners are going to wear down, leaving nothing to lock the blade in place. Just before they have worn down, the user is under the impression that the mechanism is working properly -- until the edge comes down on his fingers. Not recommended at all.

    • @bladebruddahs6676
      @bladebruddahs6676  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, I'm sorry to hear your issue but it sounds like you may have encountered a defective product. My CEO (both standard and flipper) lines up end to end with a pretty solid lock. Granted, these knives were not made for chopping but for my typical tasks of opening boxes, letters, or even removing a staple in a bind, they've worked great. More so, for me it's a style statement.

    The clip in crkt ceo is on the blade end so when you take it out like you would a pen from the shirt pocket you wont need to turn it around to deploy it
    Too bad the ceo flipper change the clip position actually

      @@bladebruddahs6676 normally I would prefer the clip on the end like you, when carrying in my jeans pocket. However I found that when carrying in shirt pocket this side of the clip very useful. Cheers, and thanks for the response.
