Lots of good stuff here. The PF2e game system already has its own crafting system, but that crafting module would be great for other systems that don’t already have it.
Great overview! There are a couple of other premium modules I can't live without, now that I have them... Filepicker+, Recycle Bin, and Hover Distance, to name a few. I'm a recent patron so I'm still discovering new stuff whenever I have time to sit down and learn one of the new ones.
far as i am aware you can cancel the patreon subscription and still use them, but they will not update. So you would just need to reup it after major updates probably, which is at least more cost effective than a monthly fee to use
That is correct! You can sub to the Patreon, grab the modules you want and then end the sub. You get to keep the modules but of course can't get updates after your sub ends.
Ripper93 modules are noticely on an other level, i'Ve saw them directly when i'Ve checked the module market since they look higher quality but didn't bought them since i had no idea what it would look like soooo tks Dice & Easy!
the rippers mods are must haves imo, some of the best mods out there, real dice and epic rolls are amazing, argon combat hut and hover distance as well. i could go on.
New to Foundry, so sorry if this is a question already answered somewhere, but any mod that allows me to have Foundry split to different monitors for more real estate to look at? Taskbar looks like a great help, but would love to have things up all the time, but just on a different monitor - maybe place initiative, chat, some stats, etc, all on one screen, while the map if full view on another screen.
His premium models have been on my radar for awhile now but I haven't pulled the trigger as I am trying to get away from endless amounts of subscriptions. That is largely why I moved to FoundryVTT Though he released a new puzzles module that is tempting me. I would love a deep dive video on that module specificly
Hey can you make a video on how to do random encounters? The latest vide on this is like 2 years old, at best and I'm struggling to figure it out (since its complicated and lots of ways to do it apparently)
It is true that file format will impact only load time and not performance - that said the difference between faster download due to smaller webp filesize and slightly longer decode will most time net to a 0 gain. On the contrary you'll get a massive gain in load times on pngs converted this way.
I already sub Ripper's premium, but I didn't care as much prior to seeing this. R got his money's worth ❤🎉 Just wanted one (1) of his premiums. Now I'm heading off to grab it all. Yeah. There's a reason he picked you. Thanks for all the great content!
Hmm, by the way, you are saying things, it doesn't sound like you've used these modules very much (or at all) in actual play. Just a quick look to demo it for the video. :(
@@monkeibusiness Sorry bud, to me you sound like the crowd that likes free as in gratis, not free as in freedom that it actually stands for. But then again, as a software dev myself I’m biased. Thank yous don’t pay bills, and for every one that leaves you a small tip there’s a thousand that fill your GitHub repo page with “implement this feature for me and no I won’t give you a dime for it.” Anyways, I find it perfectly reasonable for there to be paid modules, if it adds value to you then compensate the guy who makes it, if not just ignore it. No reason to hate on them and dropping dislikes or whatever on someone covering their work. Well, that’s all from me. Have a nice weekend. 👋
Ripper makes more than two dozen of his excellent modules available for free. Developing and maintaining that many modules has got to be a full-time job. Everybody needs to make a living, so I do not begrudge him putting some of his best modules behind a paywall. It's probably the only way he can afford so much time developing modules. Foundry is a better platform with his modules than without. It's entirely your right to dislike and avoid paying for premium modules, but it blows my mind that you wish this guy wasn't so prolific.

Fantastic video that's efficient and to the point. Amazing speaking voice! Hope to see your Channel grow big.
Thanks! Appreciate it!

He’s got such a wide selection of modules!
These are some great modules. Is there a purchase option for these? I don't do subscription VTT's nor would I rent modules or assets.

Dynamic soundscape sounds sooooooo good wow, thanks for the discovery!
You're welcome!
I would love Dynamic Soundscapes tutorial, please.

Yes, there is a module called Popout! which allows you to do that: foundryvtt.com/packages/popout

converting jpg images to webp won't make old machines work better, but on the contrary webp decoding is more intensive

I missed the word PREMIUM in the title somehow. Darn.
Dang...your beard grows really fast.
It do be like that

But he's totally up front about this video being a commissioned job. He's using his style to advertise R's wares. It's a great combo imo 😊

Hard dislike for paid modules. Wish foundry modules were not as dominated by this guy as they are.
God forbid someone use their time and expertise to offer a service and be compensated for it. 🤷🏻♂️
@@Arthur-zu8idI mean, they can do that. God forbid I dislike it and prefer open and free software, huh?

Hard dislike for this comment. You want the hobby to stay small
