Oh wow! We have the same Cream fluted Noritake plates with gilding. I bought mine in batches at SM in my early 20’s. I am in my late 40’s now like you and now live in Europe. These plates were the only things I brought with me other than my clothes when I migrated. They remind me so much of my happy early youth and today I still use them with my husband everyday.

I have some plates collected over the years and some are wedding gifts that are still in their boxes- Lenox, Wedgewoods. Never been used😢! I told my kids to shop in my kitchen before buying anything for their apartment and they are very glad to do it. One would prefer to save his money for retirement than spending on stuff! I saw a really nice German collection at a Habitat for Humanity Restore. Very tempting, but I don’t need it.
I love this kind of video very informative and relaxing. I love table setting wether I’m eating something simple or elaborate and the occasion is not important to me, every meal is special and we have to respect the food that God help us provide ✝️
