Weekly Salad Bar Prep for my Family of 11

- Salad prep for the week. To be clear, before we bought the stand-alone salad bar, we had a “salad bar” in our main fridge. It was a drawer in the fridge that contained everything one needed to put a quick salad, sandwich, wrap, ect. together. Same concept. thank you so much for posting these videos- I love to see the large family represented in a POSITIVE light like this- as a mom of 5 myself. so many people think "there's no way you can do all that" but you show otherwise. I love the cooking videos, would love to see more cleaning or organizing too- its definitely something I always need tips on with managing a house of many people- if you were taking suggestions haha. have a blessed day!
I think it’s helpful for others who may struggle with meal prep for their families. In many homes the parents are working and it’s not easy for them.
I think its great to get meal ideas too bc people can get stuck in a rut. that's also why I love cleaning or organizing vids bc I get ideas for things I never considered@@Graceful82

I have worked as a lunchlady in a couple of highschools, this is the exact prep unit we used for daily salads. So efficient and loving.🙏🏽

From the dad with his kisses for mom & kids, to the sweet hard working mama, to the helpful oldest son that is always popping food in his mouth 😂 to the little son that is always dancing and the other helpful children. I just started watching about a week ago and loved this family from the get-go!!! Then yesterday I caught a Costco haul from just mom and she is a doll...funny & sweet!! I love how this kitchen is set up like a food court. Family of 11 or not. This buffet style gives mom a break serving and I think also helps the kids to make their own food choices, when it comes to meals like this.

That salad bar is so simple and looks delicious! I love how some stepped in to help. Lil bro w the baby n dad. Dad making the bacon, it's like everyone knows their part w/o being told.

Love this!! Honestly though, save yourself some griddle time and pop that bacon in the oven for 20 mins on 400. If it doesn’t come out crispy enough then let it cook the rest of the time on the griddle.
I put my bacon in the air fryer , the bacon grease doesn’t pool around the bacon like in the oven. Much faster and you still can get crispy bacon. 😊

How cool! The setup is great! You’re teaching your kids the most valuable skill they can have for a successful life. So many people overlook actually teaching their kids how to cook. Once you are comfortable feeding yourself, many things in life become much easier. That could have been me and my dad, with him swatting me when I ate more than I prepped!
