Marie, Add more space between the pots. I found that plants do better with more space. As for the aphids, be consistent with the spray days. Good luck with your garden. Please do a follow up video for us to see how it turned out. 😊

Might I suggest that your cucumber vines might need better air circulation. You could try taking some of the leaves off and moving them from so close to the other plants. You are doing a wonderful job and keeping me inspired in my garden. God bless

Marie, Oh my goodness!!! I am having the same problem; I noticed my squash looking sad after all the rain we had. A drought then a ton of rain has destroyed my garden. I have no clue where to start... My squash leaves are crispy and tomato leaves are yellowing. I should probably just pull everything out and start over in the spring. I do love your watering backpack and will try your recipe. 💝

Garden hose does wonders to simply spray off. I saw lots last year on maize, thought lost maize already anyway and threw washing machine used water on it. They were gone and maize still grew.
Nothing was simple about this infestation

Hello Marie, I know neem oil is good for pests. If you don't have oil you could boil the neem leaves and add the liquid to your mixture next time to see if you have some result❤

I have the same problem on my cucumber right now, I used the baking soda ,oil and dish wash liquid as well.

I have used neem oil before just a couple of drops with dawn dish detergent and a gallon of water. It worked on tomatoes and peppers but I don’t like how it changed the pineapples so I have not used the solution on them in 4 years. I don’t have much growing these days other than the pineapples

Marie try salt n soap for worms you can do your own research on that I use it on my cherry trees for worm that were eating up the leaves n turn cherry black

I don’t blame you. Harmed and dangerous in a good way. You have a right to defend your food😄😄😄😄 and your efforts. We know they have to live too, but them nuh have nuh discretion. Dem wan de devour everything. From my understanding though, It’s best to spray them in the morning or evening when the sun is not hot to avoid burning the leaves. But I myself have had to do it in the day time due to the severity. I have some shite flies on my strawberries that I had to spray with neem oil and soap water. That spray device looks neat/convenient because it can hold more of the mixture at a time. I wish you success! Bugs be gone!!
Also Marie, you have to spray under the leaves because that’s where they hide.

Good morning the dish soap is not good for your plants try cayenne pepper and garlic blend and put in a spray bottle give it a try
In my experience cayenne and garlic does nothing

I use white oil for chewing and sucking pests. I buy it in a spray can but I understand you can make your own

I bought a crop protection solution recently which says it's approved for organic farming. It has oils like neem and peppermint. Cuz the aphids was sucking the life out of it. I have to spraying weekly until I see nomore. And I spray on the other plants for preventative measures. I bought it from evergrow on south avenue. Neem affects the reproduction of the pests apparently so I hope it will eradicate them soon

I sent you a video of someone who used (bought) ladybug to get rid of them. I know we wouldn’t get ladybug to buy in Jamaica but maybe plant things that attract them. Best of luck i enjoy your videos one of my reasons to move back home is to grow my own food but im finding myself feeling so intimidated to actually start. I don’t have green thumb 😢

Wow! That's disheartening. If that does not work, Millennial Gardener said instead of Neem Oil, put 8 tablespoons of 3% peroxide in a gallon of water and spray late evening. Can't hurt. Always spray late evening to prevent burns. Another remedy that is used on tomatoes and peppers is 325mil aspirin mixed in water. I hear it's effective in making the soil healthier. Of course worms eat onions. I have the same problems you have including stink bugs. Welcome to Gardener's woes!!!

The cayenne pepper with your present concoction is said to kill aphids. Get the pepper powder from your local market.

Will the plants end up being poison with the chemicals from the washing up liquid?
If it didn't poison us from washing our dishes I highly doubt that, plus we don't eat the cucumber leaves, we eat the fruits, and we usually don't spray the fruits.

That is good for the ants they will carry borax soap in a dry container drilled with holes in it and place in different areas. Will carry that soap to queen ❤❤❤🙏🏾

Trim the old 🍃 leaves and minimise the amount of ants. And when you smash the worms, take the leaf off, because they will be coming to eat

Oh my goodness, they have come to destroy your place. Keep spraying my friend. There will always be pest anyways you take it. Plant that oregano near them. I plant marigold and Its not surviving. Is there anything I can do to keep them alive?
It's so funny, I seen people plant marigold around their pepper and tomato and it help with the insect population....take care
It's hard for me to say exactly what is causing them to die, as I don't know the conditions you ate growing them in
