Kahawai Fishing on a boat -Waimakariri River Summer 2024

Hey All,
Today we are out fishing for Kahawai at the Waimakariri River on a boat. This form of fishing gives you the freedom to be able to move around the water a lot quicker than on land. There is a bit of top water lure fishing and plenty of action as we get stuck in to the Kahawai yet again.

I have been using different tips and techniques I have picked up from watching you. ( I also release 99.9% of my catch)

Hey, Thanks for the great comment. All these videos are generally filmed on the weekends. I am currently after salmon but the season is just about to finish and I haven't got one as yet.
