Cheers bro, everyone needs something to keep them motivated and dedication when they start to lose it. I agree, never give up on your dreams. If your wanting to be a TH-camr as I want to be you have upload regularly and keep posting on your community posts. just keep up the grind and you'll get there. It will be a big journey for most so keep your head up and do what you want to do, what makes you happy.
I said this numerous time now, but I want to say it again because it's important. Livestreaming is dope. It gets me all the way from 0 to monetization. I barely record/edit any video on my channel and get monetized! It's not too late to take advantage of a livestream if your channel can fit the bill!
Does subscribers count matter when livestreaming? I'm under 100subs so i probably will get 0 views during the live. Is it worth trying or should I wait till I have more people that follow me?
Livestreams are how I reached monetization with this channel. It was great for building a community and connecting with people. Plus it is great to not have to worry about every detail being perfect.
I recently changed how I approach livestreams for my gaming channel. In this niche, the community values tutorials, so what I started doing was making generic videos reviewing a specific character on Monday and then asking for loadout suggestions. I double down on asking for suggestions/requests using my community tab on Tuesday and then Wednesdays I play using the requested loadouts. The viewers seem to really like that I specialize the streams according to their feedback.
A few Suggestions that help me On lives: Video's the week before your live are important! Shout out upcoming Live. Promote! Keep streams 1 hour to 90 mins max long. In first min of live Explain what to expect on stream. Have a couple of Good Moderator's!!!! Remember!!!! Video's set up your live!!! So post Video's regularly. Occasionally live. Good luck 😎
Livestreaming is how I got, not only the watch time, but I even got to the subscriber goal. This was mainly due to my streams being "Playing With Viewers" streams, so it gave people who were looking for someone to play with a reason to watch. That, and also they could subscribe if they wanted to play again.
I’ve been considering livestreams to grow, since I need to build the LEGO sets anyway. My watch hours are at 160, so I think these will help. Thanks for the tips!
I love the notes tip because I always have my notebook with me when I’m streaming and that gives my audience the confidence that I’m not just pulling topics out of nowhere. Unfortunately I can only stream on my phone (haven’t worked out making it work with my laptop) so the redirect and other options aren’t really things I focus on yet. I know you said that drawn out conclusions aren’t ideal but on some streams (like my bday stream) I do appreciate everyone who’s left a comment because I appreciate the time they took to be there with me.
My favorite thing about TH-cam livestreaming is that the stream lives as a video after you end the stream. I've had multiple livestreams completely take off in views hours or days after the stream is complete. My biggest tip is treating the beginning of the stream as if its a video 1000+ people will see because they just might.
Man I'm tryna gain followers but I am happy with the results until now gained 5 extra subscribers and I'm thankful for them! Hope I reach my first milestone 100 subscribers what will even give me more motivation to wake up and create! Thank you for the tips you guys providing it helped me a lot!
I live streamed for the first time a couple days ago and I'm not sure if it's a coincidence but my view over the last few days have been much higher and more consistent. I only had 40 views on the stream, but who knows if it kicks off the algorithm or something.
Vidiq is always helpful but i am confused about my time management like how many times i should give time to scripting, finding idea, recording, editing
Never tried Live yet because I'm worried about my internet connection, but this video made me think I should at least try it out. Nothing ventured nothing gained.
You can try out a livestream by doing a test. Set the stream to private, stream, and then see what it looks like. Maybe your connection is good. If not, there are some helpful videos on how to improve the quality.
I recently tuned in to one of the live streams on this channel and I have to say, it was a great experience. The interaction between the host and the viewers created a lively atmosphere and added a new dimension to the content. It's clear that live streams are helping the channel grow and connect with its audience in a unique way.
I started on this platform in about 2017-2018 and did cooking livestreams. It was a dead wasteland back then. How does it compare now? Is there an audience for cooking livestreams now? I've been thinking for a while of going live and seeing how it is nowadays.
Is there a way other than editing the video on yourube, to have your livestreams show up on the "video" tab vs the "livestrream" tab after you finished streaming, or both?
Thank you for this video! For some reason I had it in my head that you couldn’t livestream until you reached the magical 1k subs & 4000 watch hours!!!! I have no idea why I thought this
I'm looking forward to starting a few random live streams for this channel that is posting this given. Let's see where this goes. On the other hand, our Mandarin channel is putting together a bit more structure around how we do this.
I reached monetization mainly because of my livestreams. One thing not touched on here is do not use any kind of "starting soon" graphics -- just hit the ground running.
I started streaming again on my channel recently cause recording and editing videos took too much effort for me especially for being a small channel...and the streaming does help alot to grow😄
Redirect (as far as i know) is a good idea, poorly implemented. you have to know the channel, they have to have you set up in their options as ok to redirect to, and it all has to be set up before the stream.. iI get that it was done this way to stop hate raids like on twitch, but its also one of the biggest blocks to the feature.
Great video! I loved the tips on how live streaming can help grow a TH-cam channel. having a strong title and thumbnail was especially helpful. That's something I've been working on recently 🙏 might as well try the TH-cam Live for watch hours hmm..
If it's like on Twitch, you'll redirect to another channel (on Twitch it was originally your channel now showed the other person's livestream), like a friend or someone you know, once your livestream is almost finished. You send your viewers to another channel you hope they'll like and next time they'll come back to your livestream to not only see you, but also to be redirected to another awesome streamer at the end. Thus they continue to stay on TH-cam, they'll return to you because you give them value beyond your own content and your friend might get new viewers as well. It would be great if YT were to do the next level directly, like it is now on Twitch: raids where YOU, the initial streamer, take your whole group of viewers to ANOTHER streamer, instead of redirecting.
Great title! Keep up the good work and stay focused on your goal. The live streaming space is constantly evolving and it's important to stay ahead of the curve. By leveraging this technology, you can connect with your audience in real-time and build a stronger, more engaged community. Best of luck in your endeavors!

I had always heard to unlist your live streams because after your not live a 4-8 hour Video game stream will get as low click through rate as a stand alone video and also have an incredibly low average watch duration. Analytics that will hurt your over all channel and your normal edited videos. along with just clogging up your channel with 3-5 live streams between edited videos. Is this all speculation that isn't true b y me listening to the wrong people or is Unlisting old video game streams on a gaming channel a good idea?
Hi, I have a quick question. On of my videos (as of me knowing) has ads. I don't have 100 subscribers, it is copyright free and I'm not getting any money.
So TH-cam shows my watch hours immediately after a live stream as 40 watch hours, then the next day as only 3.4 watch hours...do I guess mine doesn't count? And I noticed my watch time towards monitization only goes up those 3.4 hours.
i have 2K subs now and i can safely say livestreams gives a lot of new friends and fans not only that it also relieves my stress by talking to others. Subscriber milestone is not a hard target, its the watch hours. it takes a lot of time to make a video which is engaging enough to make people stay for long enough and TUTORIAL vides will get the most retention if you dont add any useless things to increase the video lenght.

I have been streaming on Twitch and making TH-cam videos from those VODs. Might have to switch the streams over to here as I need a lot more watch hours 🤔
Thanks for your support and love 2k soon😍😍❤❤
I have to do my first live stream....next week....to all of you trying to grow your channels....let's not give up...we shall make it
Finally 🎉I had been waiting for this because I go live and I love it.
would it be a bad idea and stream outside of my niche completely? for example: i play one multiplayer fps game on my channel only but could i stream totally different single player games?
I hit 100 subscribers a few days a go because of your videos and I just wanted to say thank you and to everyone else don't give up you can do it
Awesome! Congratulations! Thanks for watching 😊
Thank you so much for posting this man, I got a ton of value from it so I can stay positive and grow gradually over time instead of wishing I had 1K+ viewers right now.
How do you add b-roll to a livestream? Thanks for the video -- really helpful info!

Thank you! I used to get 4 viewers. Now I Got 189!
Please after i am done with my Livestreams, I realized the hpurs it leaves on my channel hours after i am done, it usually falls back to 0.1, despite spending ocer 30 mins on it. I have even stopped because its frustrating.
VID IQ! THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP ON MY CHANNEL! But now I seem to be stuck gaining subscribers at the same pace no matter what I do. How do I make this faster?
