I feel like DL1 was such a polished game because techland had the time to do it, with DL2 they had so many constraints and instead of sticking to what they originally planned they created something new and rushed so they could release "something"
I'm doing a Dead island 2 playthrough with the new masochist card, pretty fun. I was waiting for ng+ or a harder difficulty in general for the game. Could be a nice alternative to cringemare mode.
I swear to god the highest murdar rate in this game is not even Volatile but literally "Grab the dang ledge!?" Also fyi, the enemies dramatic dying animation, if you don't attack them or kick them while they are close to You then the game could consider you are on top of them and becuz of that it causes collision so You will just stuck on place for few secs (Been screwed by that bug when I was grinding to level 250, that bug been existing for a month already). Remember just to kick them so they stop their drama queen act
I learned this very fast when I played for the first time. Especially Vollies, they will try and stay alive as long as possible when you kill them, you also can't loot them until they drop dead, so kick them as soon as they die and they drop.
I do constantly heal, but I also chug through my resources doing that. Also, since there’s no punishment for dying I might as well save my resources for moments where I really don’t want to die.
Well you wouldn't be dying so much if you just did what I was talking about just using one your ng+ saves just to play a ng+ with the stronger you just to showcase nightmare mode.
Nightmare shouldn't be experienced exclusively through NG+ or on late game saves. It's a difficulty available at all times and is intended to be played at all times.
