Alex Jenkins & The Bombers is an Americana / Roots band with a heavy blues edge. The bands compositions is contemporary music that incorporates elements of various American roots music styles, including country, roots-rock, folk, bluegrass, R&B and blues, resulting in a distinctive roots-oriented sound. A power trio that puts out a big sound! The group’s style has been described as having a Fabulous Thunderbirds feel to a Jimmy Reed and early Sun records recording artists feel. The band is lead by Alex Jenkins on guitar and lead vocals. On drums and vocals his brother Tim Jenkins and rounding out the band on bass guitar is Mike Crisp who brings a young fresh approach to the music. Both Alex and Tim are song writers. The band has many Years combined playing experience and have performed at several venues with some of the biggest names in blues music. The bands 2014 current release, “Voodoo You” has gotten good reviews and is being played on radio stations worldwide while gaining new fans daily. The bands first release “Creepin after Midnight” was a breakout CD and both CD’s feature all original songs. The band is currently in the studio working on the next release.
