Your words are equally as important as your brushstrokes, to me.

This one turned out great! In the beginning you had me worried when you were like, “these trees back here are darker” I was like Uh Oh! How’s that going to work? But in the end, you changed your mind and let the values lighten as they recede into the distance. And all was well. Haha. Thank you for the journey!

That trail beckons one to follow it physically as well as artistically. Thanks, Michael, for getting me "out of the house" today.

The yellow of that field 👍🏽 I’m glad this is an example of an exploratory process. I’m getting bored with my usual style, and seeing you experimenting and going off the rails is getting my painting arm twitching 😆 Thanks for the vid, Michael!

Very instructive and encouraging video, especially for those not knowing where and how to start. The simplification of the masses, the receding tonal values are a joy to the eye. Thank you again for that !

A beautiful day, change of locale
Blues and greens on a mountain trail
A larger panel to capture the grandeur
Catching poison oak would be a force majeure
    A Pa-tre-on mention…do I try keeping it?
    Without TH-cam deleting it.
    😁
The colors and brushwork are absolutely stunning in this one. I’m basically studying the mixing of the paint like it’s the Zapruder film. Frame by frame brother. Thanks for sharing! Peace and love..Suz What ☮️💛

My….I love this panting, those exaggerated colours are fantastic. I do enjoy it when you are not painting the sea , I think because you push yourself much harder and the results are always worth it , well done again and thank you for another great video

Love this piece and so many others that you’ve done. You are such a skilled artist and your insistence on keeping your brushwork loose is a real credit to you, and the result of all of it has given us a great artist with a painterly style, great big bold and colorful impressionistic strokes of color and a healthy dose of that California impressionistic spirit too. Keep it up- your sessions are the only ones I will watch and from which I’m able to take away some really valuable lessons. I totally dig that you put in the hrs and remain passionate about the art. You are too shelf

Michael, any chance of you tackling a sunset over the sea. I ask because I find it a challenge to paint something of exceptional beauty without making the painting KITCHY! I painted such a scene last week. Its on Instagram. Have fun!

The colors you used in the painting are so right and pop from the canvas! I can really tell that you got a good sense of your surroundings before you started, and that's amazing, Mike! As always, I really love the finished product.

Very nice painting, sir! I think it's fine! Beautiful nature! ... Btw. I saw this line: "Dogs on Leash Only" ... and I didn't know what that meant ...! And I was going translate it and then I saw the picture and now I think I know what it means! ... Have a wonderful day! Greetings from the EU!
