N. Berwick, Dornoch, Prestwick - the trio to play along with the current Open venues... then there are about 100 more Scottish courses with quirky, memorable qualities - you could even have a couple of weeks just playing the great Lothian links.
Im from North Berwick and have played this course as a local. It doesn’t get any easier no matter how many times you struggle round. The east course is also a lovely set out. Hope you all enjoy your golf here.
I'm finally making it back to my membership here after 3 years stuck in China. This video has truly got the juices going. Thank you for a job well done. The course looks glorious.
Played this course in 1984...one of 13 courses in 11 days, and it wasn't even on my itinerary, but a business colleague, who I never met before, set up the tee time. It rained cats and dogs, and the wind was howling for the first 4-5 holes, and then it was beautiful. What a thrill to see NB again!
Had the pleasure to play there 8 years ago in early March as one of my first links courses. I felt in love with this kind of pure golfing experience and in the meantime played not only all past and current courses on The Open rota but some other dozens of links courses all over GB&I. This video is a gem and makes me consider coming back again as soon as possible! Thanks guys!
Beautifully done! Visited Muirfield back in 2012... was on a backpacker's budget and opted not to try to play North Berwick. Should have made the trip!
Thanks for this video of the West course. My wife and I are playing there soon in the North Berwick Cup and appreciate the tips. I just hope the weather co-operates!
Only played it once. Have a clear memory of the amazing back nine but this video has reminded me of the front nine today. Favourite hole is "Perfection". The one with the wall was bizzarre to play, though I think there is a vaguely similar hole on Royal Aberdeen.
It's Disneyland for golfers. Fun with every shot, and it builds up and up as you reach the last six holes. If I could only play one course forever, this is it.
Kudos my friend. I discussed an idea similar to this with my son about 2 years ago and you've done an amazing job (much better than I could ever do)👏👏👏 Do you allow courses to have a link to the videos on their websites?
Thanks! It helps that I live nearby and I could make a lot of early starts to get good light.... If NB wanted to link from their site then that would be great. Ardfin have embedded it on theirs and then linked to my site which was nice! Thanks again for the nice words.
played it first in 2009 and second 2020; smile just got wider. The warmest welcome and most enjoyable rounds I have ever played.
North Berwick is this American's favorite course in the world. A great video highlighting a special place.

My favourite course anywhere in the world and this video does it great justice. Beautiful

Coming from NY with a buddy to play here with a in a month! Can’t wait for this gem🤩 Would love to play it with a member tho!?
This is class, David. Perhaps the best golf course video I've seen. This is what I wish to watch before going to a new course. Keep it up!

There isn't a single word or sentence here that is overstated. An amazing place..
My first round ever in Scotland begins with this gem. Thanks for a great run through of the layout!
Wonderful cinematography 😍
Not often I start drooling over a video 20 seconds in....
A wonderful golf course - well-played UK Golf Guy for a terrific video
Wow, this course looks awesome! Definitely a bucket list course.

How wonderful for you, so glad you decided to let us all know how fortunate you are.

This rivals Golf Digest’s version on this concept. Well done! Adding this course to my bucket list
Heading there in just a few weeks cannot wait
It was epic.

The most enjoyable 18 holes of golf in Scotland. Amazing video.
Thanks Ru, means a lot coming from you!

The course that is the most fun on Earth. Any chance of a hole by hole of Royal Dornoch?
Well done!!

Amazing!! I thought your video on Ardfin gave me FOMO… this made it worse!
Played this for many years in the open on the 1st sunday in July with my best mate . Sadly he is no longer with us and the comp. isn’t held any more.
Paradise…
Looks amazing, but at 240 a round its not gonna happen for me unfortunately.
You can tell modern course rankings are terrible when this course is not included in the top 10
It’s number 10 in the UK on the Golf World list which is great. Wasn’t in the top 50 25 years ago.
Must go
Unpopular opinion. I couldnt get my head around north berwick. Just felt dissapointed by it, will be honest i think its over rated.
