For the Lizard, I can imagine the red ring going on his missing arm, meaning that it’ll contract into him whenever he becomes human again. There could also be this cruel irony where the blue ring Kurt has could normally heal his amputation, but now it can’t due to the red ring being inside him. Also, for Venom, you could make an argument for Saphire being a good ring for him, since the symbiote is obsessed with reuniting with Spider-Man, which could be seen as a very corrupted love.
For me, I feel like Carnage would be a Yellow Lantern, both the symbiote and Cletus Cassidy crave fear, they may be brutal and deadly, but they're also sadistic. Carnage enjoys striking fear into others, id argue its probably his most defining character trait.
You know, out of anyone in the Marvel universe I think Spider-Man might be the best fit for a white lantern ring. After all, not only does he actively fight to preserve the lives of his enemies and friends alike but as Peter Parker, he actively wants to make the world a better place through science. He undeniably wants to help people live the best life they can. After all, he’s a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. And more so than most heroes, I feel like he would know that the most powerful ring in the universe would have to be used responsibly
Another TH-camr, Needlemouse Productions, in his vid about what Spider-Man's lantern should be, also noted that Spider-Man would know the responsibility needed to weild the ring of the White Lanterns
I think Rhino would qualify for the ultraviolet corps because of the shame he feels because people say he’s dumb and also being forever trapped in his suit not letting him live a normal life. I know that your channel is very DC focused, but a cool video idea could be what Lantern Corps the Spider Society/ Web Warriors/ Spider-verse characters would be. I think if you did Marvel’s version of Legion of Doom or Suicide Squad or Justice League that would be cool. Something different if you ever get stuck trying to make a DC related video/ topic.
@@GmNdWtchr96 Sorta kinda, but I was thinking more so using unknown/ silly villains like how the Suicide Squad used d-list villains. The Thunderbolts from what I can tell is just a group of villains who become good guys and the modern team are made up of heroes too, so the similarities are kinda lost. Plus everyone has a different idea of what could make up these different teams.
@@tyrellmultimedia from what I’ve seen it’s pretty cool, we get to an older Peter becoming Spider-Man because of the effects The Maker had on his universe when he was tweaking events to recreate the Ultimate universe I’ll have to check out more myself
I’d honestly say that Venom could also pull off being a Green Lantern as well because he has the will to continue being the lethal protector that he is and that he pushes forward in that goal. Also, whenever he was a villain he had the will and determination to do everything he possibly could to make Spider-Man’s life a living hell and nothing was going to stop him.
Rhino is most certainly for me should be red not just because of him being a big raging brute. But because in some of the stories he legitimately wants to be happy and be loved, but that's rarely an actual option for him and once hopelessness sets in he turns to rage. Hopelessness is a major factor in the rage lantern rings hence the blue rings being the opposite of them, often a red lantern feels hopeless and helpless which brings them rage with the desire to insight punishment against the world or others for crushing that hope. Revenge is not hopeful if anything it relies on hopelessness, the belief that the object of that vengeance will never change for the better. He also can be a guy that does things for love. Granted I would still lean way more to rage.
I remember there was a story called "Flowers For Rhino". I think it was centred around him trying to love or something. It showed a newer side to him but I could be remembering wrong. I think I have the comic somewhere in my house.
Love this video series bro. Do you think doing it for hero teams could work and be cool? Teen titans, justice league dark, maybe even the avengers if you wanna try marvel again?
@T.M.M. Thank you for understanding how the indigo tribe works. I have seen so many videos where they have put people in there because they are compassionate and not because they are awful human beings. It is so refreshing to see. P.S. I don't know a ton about either Marvel or DC so it's perfectly fine that you don't know much about Marvel.
Good, glad you liked it! The entire purpose is to teach evil-doers compassion. If you have compassion, the point is to use that for other emotional outputs. Although, hypothetically IF a characters defining attribute is compassion, than I would say the next best option for them would be Star Sapphire.
Love it, Love it, Love it. Doc Ock is one of my favorite Spider Man villains. I loved reading about him, or even watching him in the cheesy 1970's cartoons were some of the best episodes. And I think Alfred Molina played him perfectly in the movies. Venom and Green Goblin are also up there for me, and I think you were bang on with all of their Lantern categories.
Damn good video it was very interesting seeing your opinions on some characters definitely rings I didn't think of for some of them like indigo for shocker
Rhino reminds me of general grevious and would also look awesome in red. Maybe you should do characters from the main six star wars movies. That could be interesting
you know most of these villains have very Complex and layered emotions most of witch go unspoken witch wood make them perfect for the ultraviolet corps but most of those emotions are nameless but one emotion common among villains dos have a name but is not yet represented among the lantern corps and that is the thrill of power
How about this for a video: Teen Titans... but Lanterns? Not so much their rogues gallery but what Lantern syncs up to what Titan? For example, Starfire could be Star Sapphire through her love for Robin, Raven would be a White Lantern (It's what she basically became at the end of her arc in Teen Titans Season 4), Cyborg would be a Green Lantern due to his will and determination despite having cybernetic implants, Beast Boy could be a Green Lantern too or perhaps a Blue Lantern due to hopefulness in dire straits.
I would point out that venom now is more anti hero then straight villain but depending upon what point you take from then you could easily give him red or possibly indigo if it’s a more modern take on the character. But if looking at classic venom then red would probably be the best for him. I agree with all the others though can’t really find fault in your logic there.
Honestly, Kurt Conners as a Blue Lantern makes sense. The guy's whole goal was to grant humanity the regenerative powers of lizards, to help heal his missing arm. Takes a lot of hope and optimism to do that. The irony with that, however, is with a Blue Ring, he could in fact heal his missing arm.
This may sound weird but honestly I think venom should be violet, I will say he used to be very angry so you’re looking at an older version so that makes a lot of sense. The current him is over a lot of his former trauma mostly and for the most part is an incredibly good person, he protects people because he loves people and wants people to be safe but the person he loves the most is his host’s (the ones he’s been on the longest and have a good relationship with an course like Eddie Brock)
@@tyrellmultimedia it would be Eddie Brock‘s son, yeah that’s a very interesting thing we found out like a year or two ago. apparently he had a biological son but while doing the deed because of venom, the kid has control over symbionts. Flash Thompson died sadly but came back sort of, technically he doesn’t actually have a physical body so it’s just the memories of flash Thompson in an anti-venom. He goes by eight agent antivenom, he basically has the same powers that he used to bite can heal people and become a dragon though the biggest thing about all of this is apparently that Eddie Brock is now a Symbiot human hybrid and was apparently destined to become the host to venom therefore so he could become the king in Black. It’s like how Peter parkers meant to become Spider-Man, Eddie Brock becomes venom in a lot of different timelines
I think Electro could also be red, he is prone to outbursts and his low self-esteem doesn’t help out much either.

Or blue ring, since sometimes he's depicted as willing to ditch his suit and be normal again, even if that's pretty much impossible
Marvel already has a Suicide Squad analogue in the Thunderbolts, iirc.
