Hi, I will being coming to UIUC in the fall 2021 as a freshman. I was wondering what the best hall is in your opinion? There’s a lot to choose from. Also your room is so beautiful 💗thanks for making this video
Hi!! Thank you so much! :)) It all really depends on what you want tbh. I lived in ikenberry north my first two years and loved it because the dinning hall had so many options. I lived in Weston my first year and it is SUPER social. Of course I’m gonna be bias and say that’s the best one in my opinion but I met so many people who were not on my floor and there was always so many events going on. This goes for any freshman dorm. PAR and FAR are really great options as well. People says it’s far off campus but not really. Also there are “living learning communities” which are specialized programs within the residence halls. I would look more into that to see what you like. Each dorm is literally amazing! Preferably pick a freshman dorm (no upperclassman) where you can get that college experience and make friends! But one thing for sure, it really is what you make it!!! Happy to answer any more questions!
Hi! I’m a rising senior and my top choice is UIUC (most likely will attend)! For me, I have SEVERE allergies to dust and mold (and the sun/heat) so I’m looking for a clean hall w AC. My brother stayed in LAR this year and just by visiting it I can tell it wouldn’t work for me. From the research I’ve done, Wassaja seems like the best fit. Do freshman get placed in wassaja? What other halls would you recommend? Thanks in advance! I also know that like I have to get admitted to the college first, and I plan on applying in the college of AHS so I think I may have a shot so I’m trying to plan on the halls lol
Hi, Thanks for watching! I lived in Wassaja this year and the bathrooms are always clean and nice. I do not know for sure how hard it will be to get a room as a freshman. I want to say you have a fair chance since the business-learning living community is moving to Nugent. Meaning more freshmen from different majors can live there. I would also suggest Nugent as well or even PAR since they have individual use bathrooms but not so clean! Hope this helps!

Already provided but you can bring mattress toppers to make it more comfy. I didn’t need one since I was comfortable!
