    This timing of London Round 1 Jamaica 37.39 is even faster than Tokyo 2020 Final Italian Timing of 37.50, pretty insane even without Usain Bolt. The Jamaicans were simply stunning at their peak

      @@jayjayofficial2754 Jamaica simply didn't find any young talent after the likes of Usain/Blake/Powell. And on the other hand, USA is having a whole new generation of incredible sprinters. They're doing really well

    • @TheAlexbuffon
      @TheAlexbuffon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      @@axdan_8 I believe Jamaican men will be back, but I mean in a way what your comment describes is to be expected, Jamaica’s population is comparable to Houston, so they’d be much less likely to keep churning out world class sprinters like the states. Jamaicas small size relative to their great success is why they’re so outstanding.

    • @TheAlexbuffon
      @TheAlexbuffon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Also a lot of top worth youth and junior finalists and winners for some reason just didn’t make the step up to the senior level well for jamaica. Skeen, Todd, minzie, Murphy, and the list goes on. All were either finalists or medalists at the world u20/u18 level since 2010 and yet barely improved as seniors sadly. Seville looks to be the first one to break thru the youth barrier since maybe Bailey-cole

    Don't listen to the other people who are simply wrong, for a twelve year-old those times are fine! If you plan on competing on a high school level, though, you'll want to get under 13.
    Think of if this way: as a distance runner who never sprints, I ran a 100m, and I got 18 seconds, so you're still faster than lots of people!

    They tried to get the lead before the anchor so that the US would have a better chance. If he did anchor, JA would have easily had a bigger lead going into the anchor since whoever they put against Fraser wouldn't have beat him.

    Jazeel Murphy will have to beat Adam Gemili of Britain to that junior sub-10 landmark. At 18, Gemili ran a 10.05 at the 2012 WJC. Although I question his capacity to improve at only 5'4'', he has time to grow and only needs to improve his PB by six-hundredths of a second.

    Gemili received the baton, after he crossed the yellow line. He also stepped into the next lane. Either way, the Brish squad is disqualified.
