  • The USMNT set a historical precedent being the first nation to host the COPA America and not make the knockout rounds. No matter where you want to place the blame, this feels like the end for head coach Greg Berhalter. The US Soccer Federation now has to manufacture excitement and enthusiasm for the 2026 World Cup, as the USMNT has failed to generate the passion and excitement we were hoping for from this tournament.

American football should start from the ground up Natural grass field + promotion and relegation agent

We need to stop calling these players the golden generation. They haven't accomplished anything meaningful. They even struggle winning against poor concacaf nations. We have set the bar so low for this team. Anytime they lose an away game, we make excuses for them.

You can't judge a golden generation by the number of players playing in top teams. Otherwise every national team in Europe would currently have a golden generation. You can only get the title of golden generation by getting important wins in tournaments.

@@nerychristian 100%. If we want to get more viewers and fans of the USMNT then we need results. We can “look” however we want, fans don’t care about anything other than winning. Sometimes even I have to remember that. Thanks for the views and all the engagement!

Dude you are just straight up lying about LD's goals. He did not score over half his goals from the penalty spot as you claim. He has 15 goals from penalties. which means he has 42 from the run of play.
he scored 35 in the box and 7 outside the box. of those 24 were right footed, 14 were left footed, 4 were headers.

Volunteer and learn the rules so this deranged argument goes away. Rules changes are applied almost every year, and the offside rules are on the top of the list.

Thing is you say certain players have been awful, Berhalter has no clue on how to get the best out of some of these players, honestly these players aren't ever going to be like prime Brazil, or Spain, France, etc, but it can be a decent generation (potentially the best you guys have had) really you're not going to win the World Cup in 2026, but I'd say anything less than a QF in 2026 is a disappointment...also you say worst ref performance you've ever seen, yes its was bad, but ive seen worse, Chelsea v Barcelona in 2009 comes to mind as an example, im no Chelsea fan but that was probably the worst refereeing display I've ever seen
