Thanks for sharing your experience with this install. Getting ready to do it myself. I have to admit the instructions are pretty basic so seeing you do this makes it real simple and quick.
I just got a 94 yj, it came with a hard top, but it's not a yj hard top, so I was looking into this. but it appears it doesn't come with the rails along the bed to insert the top into, or the window frames for the doors... Guess this isn't a cheaper alternative like I thought as I can get a frame kit and a replacement "factory style" soft top for about the same cost as this, but since I need those additional parts, it would end up being almost $400 more than the wavy factory top. Glad I found your video before I clicked the pay button.
Do you think it's a good idea to have the top reinforced with extra stitching? A friend of the family does upholstery and I am thinking about having her go over it when I buy it.
@@FloridaJeepRides just what I wanted to hear. They told me everything comes with a 3-year warranty, and when you get a replacement part the 3-year warranty starts again on top of that. They are local to me about a half hour away so I think I'm going to try one.
Hi - thanks so much for this video. The directions included are very basic, but this video illustrates the process well. Only issue I had - the snaps, especially on the 2nd side (once I've snapped on one side) are super hard to snap on. Any tricks?
Cool top I have a 90 yj. I found it in ok. I live in upstate ny. Its rust free. Planning on remove hard top that frameless top is perfect for it.also it great to yj. Out there.
1995 wrangler thank you so much, yeah I have the front piece, and for some reason I can't find the top and rear part either, so weird lol I never had a problem finding parts online : ) one of my friends have an extra door sourounds from factory soft top he will give them to me, I don't know if they will fit or not, they don't have the clamp that you showed in the video that holds to the rollbar, so I'm not sure how that will work, I will update here if the factory surrounds will work with the rampage framless top or not maybe this will help someone else , thanks for taking the time uploading the video you helped me installing mine on my Jeep easily. I Appreciate it.. See you down the road, from Cleveland Ohio
So far its still holding up. It is a driveway jeep in Florida so thats a good thing. "If your top don't leak, you aint never taken it off." even the hard top leaks some times.
Great video! Does this top make a lot of noise at speed? My oem soft top has busted zippers and my uppers don't seal worth a crap anymore and I'm looking to replace.
I just got the top, probably gonna install tomorrow and now I’m realizing I may have an issue, will full doors still be able to close with the door surrounds supplied by rampage?
The top came with new door skins, they are the same as the ones I had. As long as you don,t have round rear upper corners you should be good. My solid doors are round for the hard top. Most YJs don't.
He there, love the video since I’m thinking of getting the same top. I was wondering though. What lower doors do you have on in this video? I really like the way they look and the only thing I’ve been seeing for lower doors have all been soft (I’m a beginner so I’m still trying to learn the good sites to use)
The doors are hard half doors from the factory. I have seen them on facebook market place but can be costly. The full hard doors I have don't fit because the top is round. facebook.com/marketplace/item/1665685533762511/?ref=search&referral_code=marketplace_search&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A1530a922-e7fd-4b95-b23c-a88aea6f0228
So you used all the original hardware from your original soft top? Just asking because I ordered this s top and they say you need there windshield piece? I have the top it came today but that windshield channel is on back order. Need to I stall new top, don't my want to take old top off as it won't go back on it I do it's in bad shape.
I had the windshield channel from the stock top and the channels on the back of the tub. Some things to know: Let it sit in the sun to heat i up. I never un zip the back window past 75% when I take the side and back windows out I leave them zipped together. Just unzip the top of the window and remove all three. I had it off yesterday at Ocala... good thing the trails were waaaaaaayyyyyy to narrow.
@@FloridaJeepRides thanks Jeep brother 👊 I appreciate it I got my top so now I know it'll fit the stock hardware. I appreciate you taking the time to answer.
I am trying to see if the warrantee is going to cover the main seam and zippers. So far so good. If not I will try some Flex seal.... For now the hard top is on.
Well darn.....tub rail kit is $97 / Rear Tailgate Tonneau Bar Kit is $98 / top channel is $25 / door surrounds i can't even source a price? $300+ worth of hardwear to install a "frameless top"
I had that stuff from the old top. On the TJ I had to go fin it all. There's a guy just north of Daytona that has a lot of Jeep parts used. jerrys-jeeps-and-parts.business.site/?fbclid=IwAR0qhLQ_UfVE6i6en_n7BVcjxQ46F8WmhoftnuHcbBQAdoj4K06qkhOmNZc

Good to hear. It's still on and doing as expected for Florida sun
I have been having some issues with the Zippers, Rampage sent out a replacement, but it was for a TJ. Now we wait to see what happens next.
Do you think it's a good idea to have the top reinforced with extra stitching? A friend of the family does upholstery and I am thinking about having her go over it when I buy it.
The zipper areas on the back was the only area I had issues. They did send a replacement window.
I'm having issues getting the snaps done. It's almost as if the main top piece is not wide enough.
I had some issues as well. I let the top heat up in the sun and that helped. If the top is cold it will not stretch to put the snaps on.
Better than the manufacturers video. Thank you for sharing!
Waiting on warranty parts for the rear window and the passenger side. The zipper broke. Also the seam on the mail roof. Florida sun is brutal.
@@FloridaJeepRides how was your experience with the warranty department?
Outstanding - They sent a new top.

They did have to replace the rear passenger window, but so far so good.
Thanks for the video on the top. Looking to buy on soon.
Good deal - I do like the frameless look. The Bestop Trektop NX Glide would be great if only they made a YJ version. No zippers!
Watched your video it was very helpful but I think I want a different top. Can you tell me where to get door surrounds; I'm not having any luck.
Dale Walker, Did you find the door surrounds?
1995 wrangler can you tell me where to get the door surrounds seperatley? I'm not having any luck as well, I do know yours came with the top.

Im curious about those tires! They look like some damb good budget mud tires. What are they?
amzn.to/3LswrT5 I don't find them anywhere currently, they lasted over 2 years and were great. The spare still hangs off the back.
i have that top on wifes 94 and also on my 92 , we love that top, looks sporty, i will get one for my 01 tj soon
Steve Blankenship can you run full doors?
The door surrounds are for soft doors with a sharp angle, my full doors have rounded corners to match the hard top.

How does it look with the top down. I feel like the door frame would ruin the look of the “frameless” look
I am working on a video from Ocala and we took the 95 out. The top held up good, the side and back windows were off.
