It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! You are very welcome, and good luck with the giveaway!
Wow. Whoever gets this will have an awesome setup for their workstation. The family picked up the one with the light for my birthday last Sept. It really is a game changer when you need 3 pairs of hands. Another great review, Addam. Good luck to everyone entering to win.
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. I have enjoyed mine and it really does make a big difference in the time and energy to do certain jobs and not get burned in the process! No fingers under solder drips any more! I am glad you got one for your birthday, a great present for sure! Take care my friend and have a great rest of your weekend, stay warm!
Hi Addam, you really did a great job of explaining all the features, it really does look high quality and super useful! Boy those magnets are strong! 😲😲Someone is going to be happy to get this tool! Hope Sunday is going well, buddy! 😎😎👍👍
Thanks Mark, it is a really nice tool and super handy with all sorts of stuff. I use mine all the time, mainly for soldering but have used it to hold bits in place while glues dries and other things. Sorry I could not include you guys but the shipping on things is just silly these days! Take care and have a wonderful week ahead my friend!
Awesome tool Addam. I'll keep this in mind as soon I need a third and fourth hand for screwing and detail paintings. Soldering'll never gonna be my thing😂. The lighted magnifying glass' my favorite. I have a big 80s style one here. And big disqualifies it. Have a great weekend
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! I have used it to hold things while glue sets and other things where you really do need an extra hand with something simple! I have one of the old school magnifying glasses that clamp onto the desk as well, so parting with this is not a big deal, I still have my old one which should last my lifetime in the hobby! Take care and have a wonderful weekend too!
2025 is the year of finishing projects and completing RCs that are still in the box for me. That includes a fair bit of soldering and I am sure that the family would prefer not having to borrow their hands to hold my wires still while I am trying to solder things up.
Kind of the same plan overall here as well! I can understand the "honey come hold this" situation, done it a long in the past! LOL! It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! Good luck!
It really is a super handy tool to have. I love the gripper clamp and how well the arms hold themselves in position without moving. It really sucks when you get something in position and by the time you grab the iron it has all shifted. I don't have that problem with these!
Hey Addam! Very clever using two heads for this giveaway! I love building new kits, modifying current RTR’s or kit builds or even restoring these old rc cars. But in the end, I hope who ever y’all pick ends up loving this kit! Very cool, Happy Holidays and thank you for a chance at a giveaway!
Yeah, I am removing the names from the comments before giving them to her, she does know some of you all by name now so I want it to be as fair as possible! It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! good luck!
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. You could just clamp that whole Micro-B chassis in the gripper vise and work on it from any angle!
Thanks James! It is a real handy too to have, yes, pun intended! LOL! Everything just works as it should and seems to be great quality, I am still in love with my original one and this improves on that one. Take care and have a great rest of your weekend!
My soldier station is my daughter. YUP, she is my holder and I am a proud dad of a 9-year-old female who jumps up to do all and any soldiering that needs to be done. X-mas was good to us and we are joining the Trail walk RC club here in Florida. We will be out of sorts because we have a CLOD BUSTER and we know it is not a real trail crawler but it's what we have. She will build the CLOD alongside her dad. I told her that even though we are not bringing a true trail crawler, We will go over the obstacles and maybe through some of them. LOL
That is very cool! I had a little helpy-helper for a while when mine was younger. I hope she enjoys the trail riding with it, put some sticky grease in the differentials and it will do just fine out there! Doesn't matter what you are trailing with, as long as it puts a smile on your face is all that matters! Good luck in the drawing! Take care and enjoy the week ahead!
Hey Addam, a very useful soldering station and great idea to ‘rehome’ it to a wonderful RC’er in the US. They are certainly very handy indeed and I use my helping hands station for a multitude of soldering jobs, from Motor wiring to smaller LED loom making. Anyway my friend, another very informative video. Best wishes to you and the family 😉🙏😉
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! I really like the new one but I do not need two of them and would rather the winner of it be getting a brand new unit! Tons of uses for these, even holding parts together when gluing, kind of like your interior work recently! Take care John and have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for being so generous with this product I can really use this I have alligator clips now taped to dowel pins and a make shift Clamp on my bench now I’m building a truck now that has at last count four different manufacturers and have a lot of soldering to do thanks for the opportunity for this product
Yes, this would be a little bit more user friendly! It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! Good luck!
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well!
Well done review; this updated version seems quite nice!👍😊 I don’t solder unless it’s an absolute necessity!😂 Very kind of you to send it off and I’m sure it’ll benefit someone greatly!
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! This does make the job of soldering a lot less tedious. It sets up super fast too which is just as helpful! Take care and have a great weekend, try and stay warm!
LOL, yes it is a much better solution! I used to have a couple pairs of pliers with rubber bands on the handles as holders, functional but barely! These are super helpful!
It really is a super handy tool to have. I love the gripper clamp and how well the arms hold themselves in position without moving. It is a real frustration saver and makes soldering and other stuff much less tedious. I like making my life easier LOL!
I would not have known there was such a thing, if not for your review, so thanks. I currently use a table vise with rubber jaws, which barely opens wide enough to hold a motor. I will soon be setting up the electronics in some vintage cars, including an MRC mt-10s, a couple of rc10 graphites, and a kyosho Rocky and big brute.
You are very welcome, I was super impressed by the first one I got sent and this one just improves on it. I am very happy to keep my old one as it still has many years of use left in it! It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! Good luck!
Looks extremely useful! Shame about some of the weird comments. Part of TH-cam I guess. Keep up the good work, find your videos so useful! I've just finished an Optima Mid and 870c box art, turned out great and have helpful tips to share. Really need to find the time myself to put up more videos, time poor with toddlers.....
Thanks! It is a really handy tool to have and the soft jaw covers are really nice. I am glad you are enjoying the videos and maybe picked up a few things along the way, that is all I can hope for! I do need to get an Optima Mid myself at some point, the 870c I am not terribly excited about. I think it was not on my want list as a kid so I don't have a strong draw to it. It looks like a cool buggy but more than likely I won't drop that much money to get one. Making videos and responding to comments takes up a lot of time, having little ones running around means time is not something you have a lot of and when you do the last thing you want to be doing is more work! My kids are grown and on their own so that frees me up from the dad responsibilities, unless something breaks and then I am called back into action! LOL!
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! Take care and have a great weekend!
Thanks Keith, it is a real frustration saver and makes soldering and other stuff much less tedious! I am glad you picked one up and found it helpful, I love mine!
I'll be working in the assembling my first Grand hauler all the lights in sound system I feel that would work very well for that have a great day you do a great job on your videos
Awesome project and I do know the amount of wiring and stuff that goes into them. It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! good luck!
Another great review, thanks for sharing and all the time you spend making videos for us all to watch. I have a Capra kit build that I’m working on, could really use this for all the soldiering that’ll be needed. Good luck to everyone!
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well!
I do understand, the older I get the worse the eyes are getting! It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! Good Luck!
That is a great looking soldering station with infinite adjustability . I currently use the typical harbor freight helping hands and it works OK but it always seems your fighting with it’s adjustments and can never really get proper alignment and you’re always left with teeth marks on your battery connectors. I am going back and converting all of my Dean’s connectors on all of my kit builds to IC3 and IC5 as I move to a complete Spektrum smart battery ecosystem. That’s what I would use something like that for.
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! I think I have about 5 or 6 connector types now out there, kind of a hassle but I have so many I cannot even imagine trying to convert everything over! Best of luck with the swap over and possibly winning!
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! I could see you getting a lot of use out of it. These are so very much better than the old school ones with the pivot balls that either never get tight enough or never loosen up! LOL!
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! I really fell in love with mine!
Have a Tamiya Dynahead and the Toyota Land Cruiser 40 quad track builds coming up and am doing brushless setups in them so will be needing to solder them up and this would work great 😎 I am also doing a custom grom with a Mojave chassis and granite arms with a HPI body on it with a brushless castle system. Keep up the good work Addam.
Oh, the Dynahead is on my list of kits to get, seems to be a very overlooked kit. I was tempted to get one of the tracked kits from the Tamiya USA sale, it was a great price on them! That should be an interesting build! Very interesting custom build, a true Frankenstein setup, I like it! Good luck!
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. I love my original one and I can see it lasting for the rest of my hobby days honestly. I think you will really like it.
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! I am still in love with my original one, I have used it many times for various tasks and without any spring back in the arms it makes it super nice to use!
Pretty freakin sweet Addam.. that's a cool setup and smart eliminate personal side let the wife be the nonbiased observer.. I would use for resoldering my motors and esc nothing fancy tierd of burning my fingers. Reviews can get crazy did consumer electronic reviews before youtube was a thing the myspce days so i gew it love what ya vide makes them easy and real not some infomercial type thing. Anywas awesome bud good luck to all the guys there can be only one hahhaha..
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! I have burned myself more than once, nothing is worse than bumping your finger with the iron cuz you had to hold onto something in a weird way! On the reviews, I just want to keep them on the tools side for now, the cars are fun but they are not in my main demographic and I hate the added pressure. The tools come much less frequently and I can get them done much easier, no weather issues to deal with! I get so many crazy offers every week to review things. from metal detectors to makeup and adult toys... LOL! Good luck and I am removing all the names from the comments as well, she does know a lot of you guys by name at this point so I am trying to keep it all fair so she has no idea who is who!
I really need to upgrade my soldering rig, its old and batterd but it still does what i ask. But only just. But it is my birthday in a months time. So may add one to my list 😁 oh, can you send some of that sunshine over here. Please 😎
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! I wish I could open it up to everywhere but the shipping is terrible and I am trying to slow the spend this year a bit. It has been grey and dreary here a lot of time too, way brighter in the basement with my super charged shop lights overhead! LOL! Take care Richard and happy early birthday to you!
I love my original one and since I don't need two this one can be moved on. I know my other is going to hold up for many years to come and would rather the winner get the new one. It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. Loads of uses for it!
Nice, welding it or brazing it? I have wanted to try to do it but I know I am going to get a nasty burn at some point! For some reason my brain thinks "it's not red or smoking so it must not be hot" gets me almost every time I weld something! LOL
@AddamsPlayground I have owned a Mig for years that's how I glued my mustang together lol. I now have a small Amazon tig I have been trying out. Don't ask me why I didn't just start brazing after all I am a plumber by trade smh.
Yeah, the magnifier is nice and having the light on it as well really helps with tiny stuff like that! The jaw clamp would be useful for holding the chassis while working on them as well!
She is, I just wanted it to be simple and since I know so many of you all, it makes it a bit more fair to let her pick the winning comment. She is a real trooper and is my best friend, I am extremely lucky for sure!
Looks like a great setup. I definitely need to look into one of these! Thanks for reviewing. I’m still waiting on Canada post to get my bills from December! 😅
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! I know there is a big backlog of stuff for you all up there! Hopefully it all gets back to normal very soon!
Greta use for it!
Interesting tool 😮 I understand the US only, I'm in Switzerland and it would cost almost a TT02 to ship it there 😂 Happy New Year to you and family 🎉🎆🍾
It is a really great tool, I wish I could open it up to everywhere but certain countries are terrible to ship things to! European countries are not terrible but others are just outrageous! I appreciate you understanding! Take care and Happy New Year to you and your family as well!
Great review. Unfortunately I can’t solder to save my life (literally) so all I would do is use it for practice and frustration because I am a soldering iron moron.
Hi Addam 👋 Great review of a fantastic product 😊 I myself use a different (but same) type of helping hands for my wooden model ships:) It's so much easier to work on small details like dead eyes, gluing pieces together and a million other things:) It's really a life saving tool when it comes to hobbies 😊 Since I already have the tool I need, I'm telling you not to include me in this giveaway. (Come to think of it, I didn't tell you about my project either so😂) I just want to say great review and congratulations to the winner:) Take care 😊
LOL, I love hearing about the project, I came close to buying one of those kits years ago but me and super glue get messy so I figured I would end up with string and wood planks glued to me more than to each other! LOL! It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! Take care and have a great weekend!
@AddamsPlayground Just go for it if you want to:) Everyone makes mistakes and messes up, but the good thing about wood is that it forgives:) If you mess up, you can always, well 99% of the time, fix it:) It's more difficult with plastic:) But yeah, practice makes you better:)
Happy New Year to you and the family.... as for reasons I would like to win.... 🤔.... have to many projects to choose from 🤣🤣🤣🤣..... could be useful for my lights I'm putting in the Lunchbox, the electronics in my BBX.... after I pick a color to paint 🤣. Or my Hauler projects, was going for 1 rig, now I'm almost to 3. I think I need AA for RC. Best wishes for you and the channel this coming year.
LOL! Tons of stuff to do, I think you just need more hands and not just the helping hands! LOL! All sound like great uses for this. It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! Good luck!!
Hello Addam, that is nice. Did you know that there is another soldering Jig out there ? It is actually made in the USA. It is called MR JIG. It does cost more, it is made of aluminum and it is made in the USA. It is possible they went out of business because of all of the cheap stuff made in China. Let me know what you think. Thoughts? I only paid $50.00 for my MR JIG.
This has some nice upgrades from the first one. It appears on the video that the flexible arms are bigger in diameter. If I had one I would use it for basic soldering like installing a new VTA motoring and changing battery connectors on an esc and batteries. As I watched you move tha arms around and demonstrate the lighted magnifying glass, I wondered if it could be used to hold a Tamiya driver's head while you paint it? If you put a screw in the bottom of the head, would it be steady enough to paint? Great video.
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! As for the painting the drivers head, maybe but you would have to brace on with the others as there would be a little wobble to it using only one arm. The magnifying glass would help too! Good Luck!
LOL, those magnets are no joke! They stay where you put them but still are easy to break free when you do want to move them! I am super impressed with both the old one I have and this new one. Both are great quality and should last a really long time!
@@AddamsPlayground Yes, this weekend has been down to about -20C here an hour north of Oslo, but on Monday and Tuesday there is a risk of 16 inches of snow. I'll be fine, but there is always some hassle. Keep up the good work.
Nice soldering tools, i need one of those You can also use those plates as armour ?? :) lol I need to solder motors an esc for my Yokomo YZ-2, Kyosho Ultima Custom and Optima Mid Custom
It is what it reminds me off, target steels! Even has that nice ping to it! It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! The gripper clamp is perfect for motor work, makes it a breeze! Good luck
LOL, why did I not think of that! I would have kept the second one for sammiches! The magnets on these are perfect, tons of holding power but a twist of the wrist and they come right off so they stay when you want them to and move easily around.
@@AddamsPlayground You did not think of that because your mind is bound by intelligence and common sense, whereas my brain has none of that and can dream up the stupidest things. 😉😉
Yes definitely super helpful and thanks for the chance to win an the link if we don't 👋😁👍

Very helpful tool to have it have some similar but nothing like this one
It really is a super handy tool to have. I love the gripper clamp and how well the arms hold themselves in position without moving. It really sucks when you get something in position and by the time you grab the iron it has all shifted. I don't have that problem with these!
We could use some helping hands around here lol ! I do like the soft tips on the clips .
This sucker is cool as hell I’m gonna find one and buy it immediately - I absolutely come unhinged ever time I have to solder stuff 😂😂😂

I have a bunch of older ESCs that need repairs and the helping hands would come in handy😊 Good luck to everyone and thanks for the review brother.
Nice, it would be a great tool for the job, this one is made very well and everything just works like it is supposed to! Good Luck!
Thanks for this Addam. Will look into this better at a later time.

Great video. I bought the original after your first review and it is great. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I'm working on some l.e.d lights for my friends daughter power wheels something like this will come in handy
It is a super handy tool! Pun very much intended! I love mine and it has made soldering a less tedious and time consuming thing to do! Good luck!
Looks great Addam 😊 Pete 👍👍😊
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well!
I need one of these. My blind butt has a hard time seeing to solder anymore. I’d honestly use this on every RC project
This is a thing at which I always thought but never buy... sometimes life is strage!
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! I could see you getting a lot of use out of it. These are so very much better than the old school ones with the pivot balls that either never get tight enough or never loosen up! LOL!
@@AddamsPlayground I have to buy, thank you
@@NANNIRC sorry to be a bad influence but I do think you will enjoy it!
@@AddamsPlayground Not at all, great help!
Great one mate , and some is going to be very happy with this one
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! I really fell in love with mine!
Have a Tamiya Dynahead and the Toyota Land Cruiser 40 quad track builds coming up and am doing brushless setups in them so will be needing to solder them up and this would work great 😎 I am also doing a custom grom with a Mojave chassis and granite arms with a HPI body on it with a brushless castle system. Keep up the good work Addam.
💯⚡️❤️
Oh, the Dynahead is on my list of kits to get, seems to be a very overlooked kit. I was tempted to get one of the tracked kits from the Tamiya USA sale, it was a great price on them! That should be an interesting build! Very interesting custom build, a true Frankenstein setup, I like it! Good luck!
Adam thanks for sharing I just saw them on Amazon I’m going to get one in a few days thanks for sharing.
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. I love my original one and I can see it lasting for the rest of my hobby days honestly. I think you will really like it.
Wow that’s amazing ,thanks for showing this
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality.
Please 😎
Happy early birthday 🙌🫶👐🖖👋🤘👍✌️👌hope these hands help till then😁
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality.
@ yeah, im having to cut back the spends this year, will only be a handfull of kits this year 😭 unless i win the lottery 😁
You know I really need to get one of these one day. I don't know how many times I said I should get one. Very nice review and give away.
Shh don't tell anyone but I'm working on a roll cage for the trx4.
@madmustangrc214 all I have is a mig, a lot easier with the tig from what I have seen
cool tool! using this for slot cars stuff would be neat... magnifier to see those small ho slot cars would be real useful!
Yeah, the magnifier is nice and having the light on it as well really helps with tiny stuff like that! The jaw clamp would be useful for holding the chassis while working on them as well!
I've said it before your wife is a saint. Haha. Im not in the running so I can sincerely day that.
Got a King Hauler coming so the wiring is always nuts on the trucks.
In Canada but I do have a US address...... maybe a loop hole.
I also want a king hauler but don't think I whould like it if I had to build it. Mine never look like the pictures on the box when I'm done 😅
Nope.....your rules say residents of the USA. So good luck to those people.
@@meirdeaph get the Matte Black Grand Hauler or the black King Hauler, they turn out nicely.
Plan on upgrading a Radio Shack F150 and would use it to solder the esc/battery connections. Take care
Greta use for it! It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! Good luck!
I need one 😁
It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well!
Interesting tool 😮 I understand the US only, I'm in Switzerland and it would cost almost a TT02 to ship it there 😂 Happy New Year to you and family 🎉🎆🍾
Id love to see Switzerland
It is a really great tool, I wish I could open it up to everywhere but certain countries are terrible to ship things to! European countries are not terrible but others are just outrageous! I appreciate you understanding! Take care and Happy New Year to you and your family as well!
Same!
Great review. Unfortunately I can’t solder to save my life (literally) so all I would do is use it for practice and frustration because I am a soldering iron moron.

I actually clicked on your video before I got the notification
I do not want one of these Don't put me in the drawing but hello to Adam's wife
Nice, I have a head cold so I was dead asleep when it went live LOL!! I will tell her you said Hi!!
I actually wanna win it for my friend.Who does all my sodering. And helps me around my house.
It is a real handy tool and makes soldering a little less of a chore! good luck!
Hi Addam 👋 Great review of a fantastic product 😊 I myself use a different (but same) type of helping hands for my wooden model ships:) It's so much easier to work on small details like dead eyes, gluing pieces together and a million other things:) It's really a life saving tool when it comes to hobbies 😊
Since I already have the tool I need, I'm telling you not to include me in this giveaway.
Good Luck!

PS. I am in Norway, so don't consider me for a prize.
LOL, those magnets are no joke! They stay where you put them but still are easy to break free when you do want to move them! I am super impressed with both the old one I have and this new one. Both are great quality and should last a really long time!
Looks cold and snowy there at the moment! We got the cold part but no snow... Stay warm!
@@AddamsPlayground Yes, this weekend has been down to about -20C here an hour north of Oslo, but on Monday and Tuesday there is a risk of 16 inches of snow. I'll be fine, but there is always some hassle. Keep up the good work.
Nice soldering tools, i need one of those
You can also use those plates as armour ?? :) lol
I need to solder motors an esc for my Yokomo YZ-2, Kyosho Ultima Custom and Optima Mid Custom
It is what it reminds me off, target steels! Even has that nice ping to it! It is a really handy tool, pun intended, and it is very high quality. The arms don't have any spring back and it just does what it is supposed to do very well! The gripper clamp is perfect for motor work, makes it a breeze! Good luck
Ooooo... I may need to get one of those large clampy arms for my magnetic work-plate! Maybe I can clamp in a sandwich and eat handsfree! 👍👍
@canuckchuck8836 you give me entirety too much credit...
