Great Video ! using what most of use have in the garage makes the Job that much easier.
Love this comment , thank you for the feedback.
Great tutorial, honestly pretty ridiculous that a transmission dipstick isnt on the vehicle and you have to go through all that to check the fuild level. Smh. Great video man!
Yes , hopefully someone can design an aftermarket dip stick that can modify it. Everyone would be eternally greatful. Thank you for the feedback.
Wow such a great informative video with links to all the tools needed to do the job! Will be using this video to change the fluid in my daughter’s 2015 Dart. Thanks buddy!
Thank you so much.
How did it go?
Hello, s33therfan, as I wanted to thank you for your excellent tutorial video in reference to a drain & fill of the 2013 to 2016 Dodge Dart's SP-4 type transmission fluid! on the 6F24 6 speed auto transmission.
You are welcome!
@@s33therfan it really helped because there is so much about the procedure that might not be correct such as filling through the vent system, etc.? As a Dart owner in regards to its short generstion there really isn't that much of legitimate information in maintenance info. available to Dart owners especially in regards to how to maintain the 6F24 6 Speed Auto! Many thanks...
Thank you so much now I am able to change my own transmission fluid. I thought I would have to take it to the shop or dealer.
Thank you so much for the terrific feedback.
Thanks for the information, I have a 2013 dart with 557,000kms on it, the dart has the original drive train in it, It's been a great car, now for a transmission oil change now that I have watched your video! 🧰🏁
Hope all goes smoothly , thank you for watching.
Loved the video, thank you for the links.
You are very welcome , thank you for the feedback.
Sick choice on the SWEATER
Thank you
My dart is a 2015 2.4 with 135,000. Scared to change it. Pretty sure it's never been touched. Also is there any way to change the filter?
I had the same fears , and I have now since changed it twice. I am keeping changed once a year and the transmission is actually getting smoother with every fluid change. The filter is not accessible with a rebuild. Thanks for the feedback.
I drained my 2015, 3.5 litres came out, I put 3.5 litres back in. Good enough for me
Not if it was low...it ain't good
What transmission fluid for dodge dart limited edition 2013 1.4L turbo charge
If yours has the dual dry clutch transmission it will take the ddct fluid.(75w c series ddct and manual) If you have the 6 speed automatic it will be this fluid.
amzn.to/3Sbluej. I am pretty sure all the turbo models have either the dual dry clutch or manual transmission. I have a video in my Dart playlist that goes in to more detail on the ddct fluid and changing it. Thanks for watching.
2.4s trans has a 7qt capacity. Initial fill up is 5.6gt.
This is a $600 job to change the transmission oil? Really good video it’s just my stomach is churning right now😢.
Thank you for watching.
you gotta be shitting me
where did you get the tool to measure the fluid.
Here you go , thank you for the feedback.

Hi, I'm enjoying your videos, I'm new to the channel and with many likes.
I could talk about your tools, brand, which set of tools is best for car maintenance, which scanner to buy.
I'm in Canada, I'm not a mechanic, I like to take care of my Cruzer.
Great to have you to the channel , I really appreciate it. I am currently using an Autel mx808 , it has been a great scan tool for the price. I will leave a link. I have used it for relearning tcm , programming dual clutch , and a wide range of functions. Any questions you have feel free. Thank you.

Hi. I have a 2013 Dodge dark 2013 . I bought the car 2 years ago. More then 7 motor mounts. Now in the morning it makes pulling like it is going to off.
After running the car 30 min that sing disappear. The mechanic doesn't found the problem . No lights in the dash indicator,
I have heard of some of these motor mounts not lasting you might try a different brand. I am leaving a link , these are my go to when not using oem. Thanks for watching.
amzn.to/423ZbKG
The OEM Dart motor mounts are notoriously bad. I'd recommend Deyeme Racing's mounts with flex hardness.
Could low transmission fluid make my car rpms go high? I stoped drving it, beacuse when i shifted to 1st or 2nd rpms went all the way to 5-6 so just went back home and drove oyher vehicle to work
It is possible if the transmission is slipping. I would look for any noticeable leaks and then go from there. Hope this helps.
Is STP ATF+4 a correct transmission fluid for a 2016 Dodge Dart GT 2.4L
This is the oem mopar recommended

U can just use ..a hand pump .. with tube....fits rite in a quart.....they sell them in boat accessories... Then u can fill thru the hole (with 3/8 square)on the front pan
Where do you get the mm measuring stick?
Thanks for watching.

How many miles are on this car at this point when you've drained the fluid?
The reason I ask is that I have many miles on my dart, and this fluid has never been changed since we have owned it. It's at about 167,000 miles. When we bought it,it was about at 40,000 miles,if I remember correctly. Maybe a little less.
Can you help me out? If feels like it's slipping and jerking a little at this point. No,I'm not going to change the fluid now. It's too late for that. Actually,I think this one may have had about 23,000 miles on when we bought it. So we've put alot of miles on her.
This car had 130k at this point and was very dirty. I have changed it twice since and it is pretty clean at this point and shifting much better. I would change yours regardless and let the cards fall where they may. For starters you can verify the fill level and it may improve the performance. It is possible it could still fail but I believe it is worth trying. The transmissions are relatively cheap for these and easy to find in a worse case scenario. I will continue to change this one every 30k . Thanks for the feedback.
@s33therfan My mechanic said it's not a good idea to change it,since it has so many miles on it,and no history of fluid changes. I've heard that since I was a kid. But if it slips and it fails,I have nothing to lose at that point. If it fails altogether,I wonder if it would be better to wait till then,or I should try and change now? I watch Scotty Kilmer, and he always said that no matter what, never flush it,just change the fluid if thats what your plans are. I don't know anything about transmissions. Even if I could get a cheap used one,it's a real bear getting it switched out. I saw a video about it once. But I'm not a mechanic either. Someone else might not have such a hard time with it. But it's not something I'm equipped to do on a Saturday morning.
@@s33therfan Thank you for your response,I really appreciate your information and your video.
If I am at over 110k miles on my 2.4l dart is it worth it to change the fluid or is it too late?
I would say definitely worth it. I changed this one at 130k . Thanks for the feedback.
My dart stopped driving and it makes a whining noise any help?
I would start by checking the transmission fluid and go from there. It could be that its low or there could be a problem with the transmission. Hope this helps.
What fluid do your recommend? 2014 Dart GT 2.4L
I have been using the valvoline multi vehicle full synthetic. It has been working great so far. Thanks for the question.
If u want to destroy my sweater! Weezer song🎤. Pull my string .as i walk away
Great song . Thanks for watching.
That’s in Celsius, you have to convert to Fahrenheit.
Gracias
I’m hearing I only need 2 liters of manual transmission oil
Here is a video with the ddct , but the transaxle is the same.

Hi I have 2013 dart limited turbo 1.4. Can this be done? Every mechanic shop says take to dealership because it’s a special vacuum needed
I believe you have the dual clutch transmission. Correct ? With a reservoir on top of it. My understanding it the 1.4l have a manual or dual clutch transmission.
👍👍👍😊
This vehicle was built stupid, nothing like a dip stick with a fill tube like a normal vehicle. I would never buy junk like this.
