buddy that is not how you revive a fish. it shouldn't be gratuitous. in highly oxygenated, cold water like that you don't need a long revival unless the fish is not moving. once she is kicking she is ready and you're doing nothing but manhandling her by letting her get waterboarded over the sand like that. fish have a coating of slime which protect them from harmful bacteria and parasites and you take it off when you rub them over sand. if you need to revive the fish get into deeper water, use a gripping tool and let the waves do the work. again, in waves like that and in the spring the fish is in a highly oxygenated environment and you don't need to revive them gratuitously. less is more when it comes to handling the fish. tagging is a good thing, but killing the fish you tag sounds pretty silly, doesn't it? there's also a chance you can wash that fish into a crack in the jetty and never get her out. you need a gripping tool, i don't even like my boga when i'm deeper than my waist because they don't grip as well when the fish is sideways on surface as a plastic clap style grip. i appreciate that you're trying to do what's right, but you're doing it for the optics instead of actually releasing the fish properly. fish should be unhooked instantly, time out of the water should be nothing if you can manage it, and off they go and you get another one.
The village of yappvile needs there mayor back
@@user-nt8qp8lx7e i catch more fish from shore in my river than any man alive [going for two different rivers this year from shore and kayak and i will succeed,] and you should probably listen to what i've got to say because none of it is wrong. just shut up and listen. that's what most of you are cut out to do. it's a function of you being a poor fisherman that you don't think i've got more experience releasing fish than a 20 something year old kid. ahve a good day.
shut up nerd
Calm down it’s just a fish
Nice! That was the fish we talked about yesterday 32.5 and 14LB I enjoyed being your first client! Learned sooo much. R Reese
Yes sir!!
Awesome fight on the inshore!! The fish must have been eating good! Awesome vid!
Looks like a good time!! Got to have faith in that Suffix 832 😂
The grind is real and so is the enthusiasm!
Sure is! I love this life!
Nice work brother! 👍👍
Thank you, Mike! I appreciate that!
this video saved my life
Nice video, fish, and fish tagging. I laughed so hard when your boy yelled dang it 🌊🌊🌊🌊🎣
Haha thanks man!
Nice fish dude!
Thanks man!
Hey Paulie can you give link to a pair of fish lip grippers? Seen guys use this for blues when hauling them up on jetty.
Looks like light tackle fun
Sure was!

@GetReelBassFishing thanks man, I didn't realize you said it later in the video. But I use the stradic 1000 and a 5ft st croix for my trout rod and love it. I am headed down to ocean city new jersey this weekend and I am hopeing to get into some blues. Been watching your videos all week and have learned alot. Great job on the videos.
No problem, Thanks man!! Good luck!!
Was that incoming our outgoing ?

@@GetReelBassFishing I’ve been on other side. Same tide. Ty
Gonna have to disagree with you on this video. That striper is not fat. He C H O N K.
Haha thanks man!
What if the striper is too gay?
those sand fleas will eat you up, yes i call the insects sand fleas and i dont call mole crabs sand fleas, i am normal in that respect
Finally, someone understands!
You don't know squat how to release a fish
That is the WORST job of reviving a fish I ever saw. And stop all the pictures and content crap. Get the fish back in and check your need for attention.
Hey bud. Thanks. But no.
Try casting using your thumb to hold the line down instead of your pointer finger. If you need a little more holding power, wrap the line around the pole one turn and back over itself. Old surf rat showed me that when I was a kid, been doing it ever since, never cut my finger again.
I am not following you at all. Would you mind clarifying a bit?
@@ATREZ0123 instead of using your pointer finger to hook the line when you cast. With the reel hanging down below the rod, bring the line over the top of the rod above the reel seat and press down and hold it against the top of the rod with your thumb as you cast.
@@imrich884why?
@@robertyacoub9705 because the line will never cut or abrade your finger doing it that way.
@@imrich884 not picturing how this could be done at all. Would have to see it.
