- Hey, I’m Sylvia, and I help people who have a song in their heart to rediscover the joy of singing, and learn to harmonize!
I absolutely love this song and all the harmony versions out there on TH-cam! However, so many recordings are made for the soprano voice (too high for most women). So, I made this recording for my “Sing Again” group members who sing in the Alto range.
On popular demand, I've now published separate videos for the Alto and Tenor harmony parts, to make the harmonies easier to learn (even if you don't read sheet music). You can find these harmony parts on my playlist, "Harmony videos and tutorials"
You can learn more about my offerings to grow confidence and connection through harmony at my website www.sylviahumble.ca
My version of this Leonard Cohen gem was inspired by KD Lang and Jeff Buckley. I hope you enjoy, and sing along!
P.S. I tune my ukulele to 432 Hz, the frequency of the earth, and it feels so good!

First of all, with this talent, I am so happy to see you are Humble! This is good stuff! I would love if you added each individual part. I would love it if my wife, kid and I could learn the parts parts.
So glad you enjoyed it! I do have separate videos for each harmony part, that I provide free through my website: www.sylviahumble.ca so please visit me there, and I would be happy to help you learn to sing this song in harmony with your family!
You didn't teach me to sing the different parts. You have to isolate the different voices for us to learn to sing the harmonies.
Agree with you
Beautiful Sylvia!. This is one of the greatest songs to demonstrate the power and grace of harmony.
Indeed, a true masterpiece of a song with such gorgeous chords, and a simple chorus that anyone can sing!
Amazing I'm so blessed with this song
So glad this showed up on my feed today! Beautiful!! 😍 💗
I’m happy you enjoyed it! Thank you 🙏
Muchísimas gracias 💖💖

Hi, that was beautiful . Kindly help me understand that the difference between Atto 2 and tenor
@hildabanda9430 Thank you! The alto2 part is a higher harmony, and the tenor is a lower harmony. You can get the separate recordings for these parts to help you learn them by ear, in my free “Hallelujah Harmony” package, on my website at www.sylviahumble.ca (it’s on the navigation menu). Or just listen for the lower voice in this video for tenor, and the higher one for alto2. And keep practicing! In harmony,
Sylvia
I want to learn thsi second voice.
The separate voices are in this playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLTrwMXhvZ9BSXY-BlJ8xavzb3wxLVRkSA.html&si=1gR_o5DrxJQo3fnd
So which one is the tenor vice versa
@HannahQuecoe-nj9ln this video does not separate them, but I can send you the separate harmony tracks free if you email me at sylvia@sylviahumble.ca
Would've helped to hear the alto 2 and tenor by themselves for comparison
There is a link to the videos with those separate harmony parts at the end of the video.
How are we learning to sing harmonies?
I have created separate harmony tracks that are linked at the end of the video. I hope this works for you.
😢🤔🤔
Would have been better to isolate each voice so you could actually hear the different harmonies. This doesn't teach you how to actually sing the harmonies....it just sings the harmonies.🤷♀️🤔
Yes, absolutely! That’s why I added links to videos with isolated tracks at the end.
