Wish this came out sooner. I only do roof and house washes now and had to buy a 4gpm pressure washer and 12v when I started. Rinsing with 8gpm compared to 4 will be a game changer.
nice set up....I'm currently building my own proportioner....I have the 12v system but haven't used it yet. I mainly do landscaping but picked up pressure washing this year. I just finished building my pressure washer skid. That was fun lol. I think that gas powered soft wash system is nice though. I already had the blue gun.

Will this work with a 2.6 or 4.0 gpm pressure washer? I have both. Saw on your website, that you had it setup for 8gpm. I own a painting business and am adding pressure washing to the business, so I’m not setup with that big yet.
@@landonsullins6953 these and other soft wash systems are separate from pressure washers. Most of the time, you’d use a soft wash system to apply a water and bleach solution then rinse with a pressure washer. But with this system, there is enough water volume to both apply and then turn the bleach off and rinse. All with one system.
Hey Shawn. Loving the videos. I built one too as you know I was working on. I got 1" proportioner and 100 ft 5/8 garden hose but I am not getting the same flow as I see with yours. Any thoughts?
@@NeptuneWashPros Thank you all. I adjusted the throttle like a couple people mentioned and it fixed the problem. Super happy with this little work horse.
@@nathanielholsey4680 we recommend no more than five minutes off the trigger. However, we’ve let it sit for about 10 minutes off the trigger without too much heat buildup.
@@DjehutimasAsarRa that’s a great question. But I answer your question with another question. What about corrosion on a 12 V pump? Everyone seems to be caught up on bleach going through this pump but they are perfectly fine with bleach going through a 12 V pump. Don’t get me wrong. I’m concerned about corrosion in this pump as well, however, a replacement pump is available online for $50. What’s a replacement 12 V pump cost?
@@barracade24 no they do not have a bypass. And for those of you out there, thinking that you need to have a bypass, you need to realize the solution that you will be bypassing won’t necessarily be water. It will be a bleaching water mix dependent upon where the proportioner is set.So you would have to have a separate bypass tank, which would end up being some odd ratio of water and bleach mix.
@@apexpressurecleaning typical gas roof pumps like an AR45 bypass back to the proportioner manifold and circulate that way. I did see another video posted of someone who’s tried adding a bypass but didn’t have any luck getting it to bypass correctly. Since centrifugal pumps don’t work like a diaphragm
@@SuperiorShineSoftwash I never intended this system to be used with drop sticks, if you watch the first video I posted on Friday I mentioned that. I’m with you. I believe it should be hard plumbed in gravity fed.

Is there a flow difference with one of the metering valves off?

@@johnmackay8732 it will really depend on what nozzle or gun you use, but my guess is it’s going to be in the neighborhood of 70 to 100 psi
