I just got the same for my PA 14 my motor goes through the mirage well was hoping to put the battery up the back but the leads not long enough any suggestions where I should put the battery I thought maybe under the seat
Buy the extension cord! Battery is too big to sit under my seat. Not sure about the pa14. Use rawrfishing code for check out for a discount on accessories at bixpy!
I am looking at Old Town kayaks. It looks like my best choices for motorization are Minn Kota ir Bixpy. Does anyone have any options on the best (reliable, functional) motor between these two brands?
I like mine for my portability. I can take it and put it on my next kayak. But that is because I have the thruhull mount for hobie Kayaks. Not old town. Old towns are heavy. Probably best with larger motors
You'd think at 30K mAh they'd just label it as 30 Ah, so keep it comparable to most other deep cycle trolling motor batteries. Like, if someone is comparing their load and battery life from bass boat to kayak, it's a straight comparison to a typical 100 Ah or 125 Ah battery.
@@rawrfishing Naw that's not on you, it's all good. I'm just saying that's a peculiar way for the company to label the product. As if I told you we needed to paddle 100,000 millimeters to get to our fishing spot instead of saying 100 meters.
Well I'm a bit lost too in the topic... So I will need to read up to learn more about these electronic batteries and motors. But I got something to share with ya! So I ran the battery from 8 to 5pm... Mainly 1 and 2 speed.. And a few times higher and at least 30 mins max speed to map the lake... It only went down 1 bar right as I was heading in lol... I am going to fiddle with my unit to see if I can figure out how to log distance.

you gotta register your kayak to run this?
For my state yes! Not sure for others tho. But most states u will have to register the kayak and get a boating safety certificate! Busy me lol
