Over my 74 years I’ve enjoyed the hobby of searching the worlds beaches for glass fishing floats. I’ve found over 500 in my life. My very favorites are the 7 glass rolling pin floats I’ve found.
I watched this video when I first arrived here in japan August 2019 and then watched it again last week and was so surprised that it was one of the beaches that I discovered. It’s one of the best producers of glass floats that I’ve found. I don’t have the luxury of a kayak and have to carry them over some tough terrain. The most I pulled out was 7 in one day, it was great but also a nightmare. Lol
I cant believe you don't have more likes & comments So fun!!! Makes me want to hop in a kayak & go treasure hunting!!! Good luck on your future treasure hunts!!!!
That would be expensive for most people to order from Japan. And collecting all that trash would take the fun out of paddling. Thanks for the comment and watching the video!
Now that's one I haven't heard but I'll take it as a compliment! Many other people have told me I sound like John Goodman. Thanks for checking out my video.

You need a 'bigger boat' or a raft to tow. great finds. What a breakwall of fitted rocks.
So I've thought about that but since the floats float I usually just scrounge some rope and tow them back. Thanks for the comment.
As a commercial fisherman in Alaska I’ve found tons of those glass balls
I thought it would’ve looked rather Phalic too lol. I liked how you said what I was thinking lol. Cool video

Seems like you could collect the rubber floats if they‘re still usable and sell them at a marinas. Cheers
The driftwood is just as spectacular as the floats
I thought the glass balls were only like the size of a baseball!! Those big ones are nice!!
What do u use these for
The glass floats end up as ornaments in my garden. I sometimes recycle a nice plastic one as a flower pot.
We used to go to a beach in Oregon and find the glass floats one time we had found a net which was cool

Thanks for the kind words Patty, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Really cool!
You need a floating trailer to pull behind your kayak. Lol
Did you grab that soccer ball for the kid down the street?
I’m jealous. Me want one. 😁 they are big. 👍
I didnt even knw they existed . what do you do with them ?
that's right -- looks real pretty but don't look too close or you might see the plastic disaster
Yeah, trust me, the plastic disaster is clearly visible, you don't have to look closely.
Where is this located...love the Glass Floats and so much beautiful driftwood
It's in Japan
What do you do with all the glass bowls you find?
Big Balls dragging behind me!!! LMAO!!!
What is so good about these? Are the expensive or just nice to have?
They are no longer used and getting harder to find. People use them as decorative items in gardens, houses etc.
What do you do with your glass floats?
They become yard art in my rock and artifact garden. I've got glass floats, some plastic ones, a few old anchors, plants, and solar accent lights.
@@RFStarkJapan thank you. Yard art.
Hi Greg a lightweight canoe behind my kayak to put everything in
I drag
Are you able to pick up a few plastic ones and I’ll buy them from you
why would you cut the net off of that ball ? worth more with it
Mostly because of the marine life on it and the stench it causes. I don't sell these so I'm not concerned with the value.
You need a motor an just use that ropes and plastic balls to make a barge, so you can tow a whole lot back :)
Within those spheres should be glass ball floats
I’m sure those plastic floats would have a value hell start an eBay store😂

You sound like jeff bridges!

Unfortunately I look a bit like Goodman.@@RFStarkJapan
Plasticproducts everywhere. Why do not anyone pick it up?
They would be back after the next storm.
