I think the same way, 12gb VRAM for what? to play 2 years and need to replace for another 600€+ . They want all gamers to force buying all 2 years a new GPU because mid-high range GPUs have to small VRAM size. Right now is pointless to buy old GPU generation when DLSS 4.0 comes with 5000RTX series. Its really funny that they think that unreal 5 engine games in the next 2 years, can handle it in 1440p with only 12gb VRAM that shows, that people have no plan about games developed in optics.
@@ZeroZingo A normal gamer dont replace all 2 years a GPU. Normal working people that have a gaming pc plays 4-6 years with the same system. So 16 gb VRAM is important to have. 16GB VRAM is the longevity play. 12GB won’t go obsolete overnight but it’s surprising to me how many games are already wanting to exceed the 12GB ceiling.
@@kenshirogenjuro873 Literally none do at 1440p unless you count mods. Something like path-tracing does exceed it at native but not even a 4090 can run PT natively on that resolution with a playable framerate.
Glad I'm using a seasonic 650w gold then.. ✌️ Stop low blowing people bud. ✌️ You'd still have 50-70w wattage overhead with a 450w psu , cause an undervolted 4070s only consumes less than 120-130w(full load).
shall i get rx 7900gre or 4070super i play some raytraced games but mostly non rt and competitive games also i do a bit of VR gaming. both same price at my region.
generally the 7900GRE is much better (unlike people are telling you LOL), even the 7800XT is faster generally... BUT, the 4070 Super consumes less power, and in terms of VR it is definitely better
@@AncientGameplays Also in terms of RT and upscaling. 7900GRE is a better 4K card but for 1440p you won't really run into VRAM issues so 4070S wins by default.
FSR4 will (finally) be adding machine learning to their upscaling, and that’s almost guaranteed to be back compatible with 7000-series cards, which will negate most of the “DLSS vs FSR” argument. Combined with 16GB VRAM, the GRE is the better long-term solution. The 4070 Super is in my opinion Nvidia’s best balanced card this generation (along with the regular 4070, depending on pricing at any given time). But it’s too weak to consider a real ray tracing card beyond this generation. It should have better longevity than the 3060ti/3070/3070ti, though.

@@Mrbesth1 You are the one that didn't understand with 7 year old English. To answer your question, 1440p on a 1440p monitor is better than 1440p on a 4k monitor. If you have a 4k monitor, use 4k with upscaling, it will look better than displaying 1440p.

4070 Super is a very decent 1440p card. I've been using 4070 Ti (which is just ~10% faster) for almost 2 years and it still holds it's own in every game I throw at it, including RT. This is a very capable GPU. Can not imagine we will see a new gen of GPUs in just a couple months (old cards are still very fast). Though I am glad it was delayed a little bit and games are still being optimized for RTX 4000 and RX 7000 series.
lol my rtx 3070 ti still holds up pretty well for 1440p as well. there's no way you just said this, acting like 4070 is an old card🤣 I will upgrade to rtx 5080 however when it comes
Wdym decent right now it's a beast but that 12GB VRAM will hold it back soon. Won't last more than 5 years, maybe even shorter depending on when new consoles with more VRAM drop.
Its a good gpu for 1 years from now on, next unreal 5 engine games no chance in 1440p with RT on and all the other stuff. After 1 year this gpu cant handle because of vram not FPS the new games. Because with frame gen and DLSS you can have 60 FPS in Unreal 5 engine games, but when you hit over 12 gb vram you need to put things down like textures or shadows. So this card is not future-proof. Games developed fast and Unreal 5 engine in games dont show all their might. Lets see when a MMO in this engines comes, like ashes of creation. Play this with a 4070 in 1440p when it comes out in max settings. I am sure you hit the 12gb vram fast in 1440p. NVIDIA force you to buy every new generations a new gpu.
To be honest the next gen cards will come 3 months from now and about 6 months there will be a lots of new cards on the market I would definitely not buy an RX 7000 or RTX 40 series cards at the moment. When people will start to sell the "old gen" cards the used market will be full of cheap 12-16GB options. The average gamer still use 8GB gpus at the moment so for them the RTX 4070 Super will be a huge leap.
@@PeterPauls yeah i have a 1070 ti now, so i want to replace with a 5070 or 5070 ti must have 16 gb vram. If RNDA 4, 8800 XT FSR 4.0 runs with software and must not be included in games.
Elder Scrolls 6 with mods, GTA 6 with mods, all mods eat VRAM. Unreal Engine 5 dont have many games with the hole Unreal Engine power, so games get better and that cost VRAM.

I just purchased this card on Black Friday sale. Whenever AMD is about to release a new driver we get anxious and pray that it will be a good driver, should this be the case? My next video card will probably not be AMD anymore... :(
I honestly can say that in the last year we had like 1 or 2 driver version that were unusable in some games, and that was about it...
I know this question gets thrown around alot but this is a worrisome issue that for people who wish to keep their gpu for more years longer than 2-3 years. Would the 12gb be enough for a couple of years say 5 years or is the 16gb 7800xt/7900gre be a better option for longevity? Thank you.
I personally, wouldn't get it
It's enough for 5 years but after that you'll need to get a new one.
3 years at most
16GB VRAM is the longevity play.
The most important feature of 4070 super is that you can pair it with a 450w psu, if you take 5 mins of time to undervolt.
NEVER cheap out on a PSU, worst and dumbest decision anyone can make IMO
Glad I'm using a seasonic 650w gold then.. ✌️
Stop low blowing people bud. ✌️
You'd still have 50-70w wattage overhead with a 450w psu , cause an undervolted 4070s only consumes less than 120-130w(full load).
Next up 4080 super, DLSS performance 8K!!!💪💪
What so 1080p upscale to 8k lmao
@mattblyther5426 4k upscaled to 8k! 💪
shall i get rx 7900gre or 4070super i play some raytraced games but mostly non rt and competitive games also i do a bit of VR gaming. both same price at my region.
If it's the same price 4070 super is better.
generally the 7900GRE is much better (unlike people are telling you LOL), even the 7800XT is faster generally...
I'm using 4070s FE and playing games on 2k monitor is very stable, but I want to upgrade to 4k monitor and I'm planning to change to 4080 FE, which means I have to change the psu as well.
Not worth it. Juat use 4k with dlss performance and next year upgrade to rtx 5000 or rx 8000
very nice graphic card. now give it me for free now, because i dont have so much money. i will play it all night long😅
Awesome❤ 🎉
aghhhh , this video is very recent , I'm wonderinghow the 4070 Super is showing better performance than the ti Super & 7900xt . . . . or at least equal performance! DLSS3.8 makes that much of a difference.
Greatful for these videos - I'm leaning toward nVIDIA due to productivity potential , Power efficiency & size of the GPUs for iTX builds. it'd be interesting to see the 70 ti Super with latest DLSS & 7900xt if next gen FSR hits soon
nothing to do with DLSS and nah, 4070 Super isn't even going close to the 7900GRE usually, let alone the 7900XT and TI Super
@@AncientGameplays thanks for responding , I'm torn between the 4070 super & 7900xt . . . which one would you recommend - I'd also like do a little graphic design & need the smallest card possible - samll 7900xt's sem very hard to find & use alot more power which means more heat - have an iTX setup
@@ExitOnTheInside Wait for battlemage G31. Intel have the best color calibration
@@AncientGameplays i'm literally watching 7800xt , 4070 super & 7900xt videos next to each other , i'm clicking your timestamps on the same games & based on your videos 4070super (most recent one) is on par & alot of the time showing better results than 7900xt maybe there are other factors as theres about 7 months between the videos - not sold on FG & 4070 super needs upscaling for 100fps with higher settings. Theres £60 difference between them in UK so i think AMD (if i can find a small card) is the better option
@ExitOnTheInside different settings, different areas in some cases and games got updated as well. Not comparable at all man. Watch my 4070super vs 7800xt vs 7900gre video and take in consideration the 7900xt is arouns 15-20% faster than the 7900gre usually
Obligatory "babe wake up, new Jesus video just dropped" comment.
I'm curious about the real-life power draw of the 4070 Super for youtube 4k video playback. Because as much as I love my 6800XT, it draws from 40-60W from watching 4k youtube which bugs me a lil bit. If anyone know please lemme know, many thanks.
40-60w is oretty normal for a card that consumes 350w...
For this video shows 5.2-5.7w selected 4k on a 3440x1440
I have an important question.
If I use a 4K monitor.
But play at 2K quality.
Is the image sharpness and quality better than a 2K screen? or it's same.
Is the ppi in a 4k monitor?
Improves 2K quality
4k with dlss quality still looks significantly better than 1440p native yes. It is more demanding too though. 1440p with dlaa gets kinda close though
@mojojojo6292 u dont understand me
from my understanding its worse...i have a 1440p screen monitor now (oled) but watching a youtube video in 1080p looks kinda pixelated...while watching a youtube video on my old 1080p tv (nt panel) in 1080p looks good
@@thedawn-rt9rx u dont undestand
@@Mrbesth1 You are the one that didn't understand with 7 year old English. To answer your question, 1440p on a 1440p monitor is better than 1440p on a 4k monitor. If you have a 4k monitor, use 4k with upscaling, it will look better than displaying 1440p.
as a 4070super owner 12gb of vram is not enough if you play on ultra texture and frame gen
12GB and Ultra textures in 2024/2025? Of course not...
4070 super is great gpu i think even 5070 would be not much better maybe ti will be better than 4070 ti super
Existe diferença em 1440p entre o 7800x 3d e 7700x?

lol, no I don't
566.14 is not a good driver. At least for Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. My minimal fps in built in benchmark with 566.03 is like 50% higher and max fps 12% higher. GPU performance is very similar but CPU runs like crap on newest driver. New driver is making game unplayable when bandits shoot me with machine gun
50%? Doubt... still, people will tell you nvidia doesn't have issues

Still not great lol
@@Pogocapalot much better than anything AMD offers when you take into account the far superior upscaling + framegen + raytracing. ofc none of these features matter to a certain ~20% of the gaming playerbase.
@ume-f5j right, but my opinion is raytracing is a gimmick and who cares about upscaling when you get more raw power for cheaper. But I see what your saying
Nvidia's best scam, 12GB VRAM for 600!!! Best price to performance is still the old 4070 when you grab it used. Ngreedia's MSRP prices are all terribly inflated, next gen AMD will win if they're smart about their own pricing.

Vram is being lock at 12gb in msi afterburner.
That's frequency lol

4070 Super is a very decent 1440p card. I've been using 4070 Ti (which is just ~10% faster) for almost 2 years and it still holds it's own in every game I throw at it, including RT. This is a very capable GPU.
Can not imagine we will see a new gen of GPUs in just a couple months (old cards are still very fast). Though I am glad it was delayed a little bit and games are still being optimized for RTX 4000 and RX 7000 series.
Wdym still holds up, its accurrent gen gpu, it was like 800$ on its release, still holds up is a very underwhelming description
lol my rtx 3070 ti still holds up pretty well for 1440p as well. there's no way you just said this, acting like 4070 is an old card🤣 I will upgrade to rtx 5080 however when it comes
4070 ti was 200$ more expensive, factoring in the inflation 4070 super is a much better value .
Wdym decent right now it's a beast but that 12GB VRAM will hold it back soon. Won't last more than 5 years, maybe even shorter depending on when new consoles with more VRAM drop.
Everything? Even heavily modded Cities Skylines and Skyrim?
RX 7800 XT
Already done mate, a week ago
Than this move could get me to AMD gpus. But that games need this in game this upscaling, i am not such a fan of this.
