This video contains gameplay from the game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Switch in HD. In this episode of my Recreation Duration series, I live commentate while trying to break the game by messing around with glitches. From infinite jumps to getting outside the trial of the sword, these are some of the best and most funny moments I had while trying out glitches. Hope you enjoy!

14:19 that "clipping" water and grass texture is actually called Z-Fighting. Two surfaces are trying to occupy the same Z-coordinate and end up simultaneously displaying both textures at once. Pretty cool.

I mean, that's what a lot of people seem to do nowadays. Nintendo reveals something new or says they're discontinuing something, and months ahead of time, people start regarding the to-be-succeeded versions as ancient relics and sell them for $30 hoping for a Switch or whatever...
Obviously not saying everyone does that, since most people still have appreciation for the great titles and features they still have- and it's not just Nintendo, either- but it does seem to be getting more and more common. Just sharing an opinion. :o

shield clipping and stasis clipping is how I cheesed the master mode trial of the sword it's so fun
lol its fun to mess around with but I would not feel satisfied with myself if I beat them by cheating
247MrNiceguy I only felt okay cheating on MM because I was able to complete the trials on normal mode. I personally felt cheated with how difficult the MM ToS was so I didn’t care

To answer your question; the designers built breath of the wild from a flat base and pulled everything up. So hills, water, and mountains were all pulled from the ground up. So thats why the water moves up

The water under the world is used to put ponds and lakes all over the terrain. Instead of making thousands of separate water bodies and using up memory, one big water object is stretched upwards in different areas to reach the surface. This is basically a developer shortcut, I guess.

Fun fact: Shield clipping tends to work better with weapons equipped. I found that out the hard way… 100 failed attempts no weapon, first success all the time with weapons.

yesterday, i found two glitches, the first one is how to clip through the floor in the stalled flight shrine (shield surf on the things that launch you upward. if done right, you should fall through the ground, since there is no way to void out in that shrine. there is no void down there.)
the second one was how to skip the last part of the bomb trial (head over to those launch things that move that useless orb, remove the orb and get on the launch thing, jump in place and if done right, you will clear the wall now just walk over to the monk and your done.

Life hack: if you're ever on fire, just do a spin attack to make it stop. That whole stop, drop, and roll nonsense they taught you in school is BS.

For anyone wondering about the layer of water the developers put that underneath the entire world so they can just drag it up whenever they need to instead of putting in individual bits of water, so everytime you see water in breath of the wild it's part of one big underground ocean.

Been playing Master Mode lately but still need to complete Trial Of The Sword in normal mode(I'm on the final trials). I haven't started it in Master Mode so still a bit to do even after 600 hours

The flurry rush joke when you flurry rushed on the first floor of the trial of the sword was funny
23:00 it's not the limit. You can go up very far and even up to the clouds
Im pretty sure it wasnt letting me go any higher at that point. I was watching the background for a long time and wasnt moving
So I was exploring this area for the first or second time, I find the giant monolith room at the end of the trial, and then I got stuck in a loop in the fall barrier. I had to watch it like 17 times, and it was the most painful thing I have recently watched.

@@247MrNiceguy I did get stuck. I got a game-over and loaded back up at the Korok Forest. Everything was alright after that. I like your name and pic by the way
I had an infinite death loop as well while out of bounds in the trial of the sword. It was near the flying rooms, and I was below the death barrier, so I was voided out. It kept re-spawning me at a place it also kept voiding me out. I had all 30 hearts, so it was painful to watch.
You cannot start on the beginning trials and end on the final trials to get the master sword fully powered up. The master sword in the final room depends on what trial you started on not what you ended on. So what people do is start on the final trial, clip out of bounds and finish on the Hinox at the end of the beginning trials giving you the 60 damage master sword.

When designing games the water is often one giant sheet that can only have a hight defined. So to bring water above the surface they simply bring the waters hight map above the surface of the grass.

The water thing is done for convenience, it allows them to just have the water there when they need it and so they have to program less models

You can actually start any trial and skip to the final room of the beginning trial, beat the hinox, and it’ll count as if you beat the final trial room of whatever trial you started.

Added funny thing about resetting the battle with Ganon after jump glitching up to reset the cut scene: Ganon actually glitches out for a while. It's impossible to explain, you have to see it for yourself. It does goes away after you hit Ganon or Ganon falls down from the wall after it climbed on. It can be activated twice: Once in the original fight, after that you can reset it in the first stage and it will not glitch. But if you bring ganon to its' second stage (take away half of its' health) and reset the battle, the glitch will come back.
I haven't yet tried falling on Dark Beast Ganon. I'll have to do that.

@@247MrNiceguy The glitch is actually taken away once you reach Dark Beast Ganon. That's so annoying. I would have loved to have used the glitch in the deserted land that is Hyrule during the Dark Beast Ganon fight.
