Besides what you talked about, Satori Mountain has two other cool features I don't think people would find unless they were collecting Korok seeds: -Southwest of the mountain, right before the Gerudo Highlands start, there is a forest of baobab trees. This is the only place besides Taobab Grassland that has baobabs, so it's really unusual. -On the eastern slope, near a small pond, there is a grove of trees, and every single tree has lots of apples. I've never seen a grove of all apple trees anywhere else. Hey, an apple a day keeps the doctor away :)
I've been to all these locations before, but thank you for pointing out the significance of those places. Tarry Town is one of the best side quests of all time, and something that really struck me about these locations is how masterful Nintendo is at visual storytelling, particularly with the Akkala Ruins. There are only two games I wish I could forget entirely and play again because the first time experience was so amazing: Resident Evil 4, and this masterpiece of a game.

Comment Box the ranch ruins is based on Ocarina of Time's Lon Lon Ranch. But as for naming things from Majora's Mask... They have things named for or in reference to every previous Zelda game.
Okay. I was just wondering. I've played seven Zelda games, so I may not understand references to the other twelve (I think twelve is right). I thought there would only be references to the games that took place in Hyrule, which is why I didn't understand.
The Colloseum Ruins is actually level'd so the enemies and the weapons scale depending on how many hearts you have/shrines you've completed. There will ALWAYS be some level of Lynel there so it's not recommended to go there too early, but if you go there earlier rather than later you can find tons of Soldier or Knight's weapons as opposed to the elemental variety seen in this video. The elemental weapons are only available if you have completed lots of the game already.
Nope... I didn’t miss any of these. Maybe put ‘places you MIGHT have missed in breath of the wild’ Edit: glad you changed the title. It’s a good video, it was just the title that bothered me. Keep up the good videos, man

“This one location is special to me, if you’ve played ocarina of time then you’ve been to Romani ranch” Really? They’re so different Romani ranch is from majoras mask it’s Lon Lon from ocarina. Small mistake but still dude.
He made a number of mistakes in this video. It seemed like he didn't really have a script and was just saying what he was thinking without fact checking.
@@jaydenmay4255 Yeah, but stating "...it has very big significance and it's one of the most precious ones to me, personally " and then failing at the name, is likes "really?"
I saw Mekar Island early but never visited it just seemed like a waste of time in a sense to me but now that I know more about it I kinda want to visit just to see what more I could find around there. I find this game in particular does lack "surprises" as I like to call them in most Zelda games that are always there there is always something else you don't expect to appear or happen, special items that come out of nowhere this game does have a lot of special items but you don't really get anything too randomly, there is not the same feeling of excitement to find something "hidden" in that sense when the map opens up you see the island and you are like oh yeah maybe I should go explore sometime but later will get caught up in another quest and forget or be more preoccupied about finishing the game, and doesn't really let you take it all in, like the special details or certain things to be kind of less obvious and help feel more connection to the game well that's how I feel about it hahaha
I read somewhere that if you go there early enough with as little enemies killed as possible (I forget if it's required to have one Divine Beast beaten before enemies will spawn) that the class/difficulty of the enemies is lower than if you went there end game and that they get harder the more enemies/beasts you've defeated!
“Ranch Ruinsba” Also, why do so many people mispronounce Hylian? Why would it be Hillian if Hyrule is pronounced Highrule? Like.... I just don’t understand the logic there.
middleton III first stop those ellipses idiot did your late parents send you to school. second unless ur dumber than idiot the game clearly pronounce it as "high-rule" and there is "lorule" in ALBW. Fuck stupid.
Hi awesome video mate your passion for botw is intoxicating and has made me want to replay it for the third time haha Your content is made so well and you are going places and i am definitely subbing and looking forward to new videos :)
This game is full of breathtaking landscapes. I am awestruck by its vibrance and the sheer amount of details Nintendo has put into its map. I never get enough of taking in its colours.
When you first start this game, you’re like yo I ain’t never killing a Hinox.. then around the halfway point that becomes child’s play and you’re like ME kill a LYNEL?! Stop playin! Then after you give it a few serious attempts and succeed you know, it’s all easy bullshit baby! We the best! Show me a hard enemy and I’ll show you results! -I’ve never killed a gold lynel.. 😞
A gold lynel is honestly a huge achievement imo, they’re harder than pretty much any other enemy in the game, and I’d say harder than the Calamity Ganon / Dark Beast Ganon boss fight. Lynels on the beginning of the game are insane though, in Master Mode theres one on the Great Plateau
The legend of Zelda is one of my most favourite game series, there just so much to do, and it’s just so amazing and unbelievable about how beautiful the visuals are
Thank you so much for explaining the significance of the Satori Mountain Cherry Blossom Tree and the random occurrences of the Lord of the Mountain and all the blupees. I am not really a video gamer but I've been spending the last few months of a few hours here and there between toddler care and sleeping to play Zelda BoTW...I just beat Ganon earlier this week. I continued to play this week to find and complete every single side quest and level up all of my different armors. I JUST stumbled on the Lord of the Mountain last night after visiting that location dozens of times to farm endura carrots. And let me tell you, stumbling into a haunted lake that you've been to dozens of times before when it wasn't like that is FREAKING surreal. I was amazed and moved (and got kicked in the face by the Lord of the Mountain). I knew it was something truly special because it was so moving to me at 2am (when I should have been sleeping anyway). I literally have been thinking about it off and on all day today. It was great to see its significance explained. Thank you.
My reactions: 7: SHRIIIIIIIIIIIINE 6: I never knew about the weapons, also thanks for telling me that there is no shrine there 5: I was there and I never noticed the wind thing! 4: I recently completed Tarrey Town! Mekar island is also a reference to the first Zelda dungeon, if you look at both of them side by side you will notice the big tree where the dungeon starts and some wonder where the four other trees went, but they are at the base of the main tree

Ahhhh the mekar thing is actually commonly thought of the deku butlers kid (mekar) from majoras mask. He loses his son and he can’t find him but at the end of the game the credits you see him dead and the butler crying at his weird sad body and that’s why the island has a dead tree and dead plants and stal-enemies. :p

Breath of the Wild is so amazing it brings tears to my eyes. What a special game. We will be talking about this game 20...30 years from now.
Satoru was also remembered in a more direct way, he’s an npc at the closest stable to Satori Mountain (the one near the Great Plateau)
Is he the guy who always carries arrows? The guy who looks like Iida from My Hero Academia?
Yes, Botrick who sells arrows and tells Link about Satori
The Colloseum Ruins is actually level'd so the enemies and the weapons scale depending on how many hearts you have/shrines you've completed.
There will ALWAYS be some level of Lynel there so it's not recommended to go there too early, but if you go there earlier rather than later you can find tons of Soldier or Knight's weapons as opposed to the elemental variety seen in this video. The elemental weapons are only available if you have completed lots of the game already.
Wrong, it scales based on Divine Beast completion.
Nope... I didn’t miss any of these. Maybe put ‘places you MIGHT have missed in breath of the wild’
Edit: glad you changed the title. It’s a good video, it was just the title that bothered me. Keep up the good videos, man
I agree
how about just cool places in breath of the wild? most things in this episode are pretty known about
the title is kind of misleading as some things like the fricking tower and satori mountain are pretty widely known.
Vsauce Puppet "places nobody missed in BotW" is more accurate
Vsauce Puppet Well done, you! You’re a big boy now! A big, big boy!
I just realized that i never used the cart the rith way
Me too bro, me too
Me neither 🤣
Satori mount ❤❤❤ that mountain literally contains everything you will ever need to cook and make potions with 😢 its plentiful and fruitful from top to bottom. Even some rare bugs. Great tribute and im thankful evertime i go there
“This one location is special to me, if you’ve played ocarina of time then you’ve been to Romani ranch”
Really? They’re so different Romani ranch is from majoras mask it’s Lon Lon from ocarina.
Small mistake but still dude.
It made me a little bit mad😅😅
okay stan go off i guess
He made a number of mistakes in this video. It seemed like he didn't really have a script and was just saying what he was thinking without fact checking.
He literally put Lon Lon* when he said it you guys just can’t read
@@jaydenmay4255 Yeah, but stating "...it has very big significance and it's one of the most precious ones to me, personally " and then failing at the name, is likes "really?"
I actually haven't been to Mekar so cool! :)
Morgan Lemons no way, I see you everywhere but now you’re even cooler cause you play botw.
Go at night...
The amount of easter eggs and references in this game is almost enough to rival Ready Player One.
Me neither, I knew everyone but that one 😂
Somehow I think I missed the Colosseum. Or maybe I went early on and got wrecked by all the enemies and blocked the memory of that out of my mind...
Remy Lebeau I got wrecked there early as well. Especially with the Lynels that can shoot through floors, which is total BS.
Mr Cat they shoot up in the sky and then the arrows fall down... which is still bs
Theyay as well be hacking.
They literay just curve their arrows.
I intentionally avoided it because I was not equipped to go in, but it was impossible to miss
I read somewhere that if you go there early enough with as little enemies killed as possible (I forget if it's required to have one Divine Beast beaten before enemies will spawn) that the class/difficulty of the enemies is lower than if you went there end game and that they get harder the more enemies/beasts you've defeated!
This video is incorrectly titled. It should be " 5 locations and their deeper meanings." All these places are easy to spot in the map
This is 7 locations.
Genuflecting in front of the Lord of the Mountain was quite a nice touch.
6:30 “where all the souljas were stored” *soulja boy has entered the chat*
That tribute at the end was absolutely beautiful
“Ranch Ruinsba”
Also, why do so many people mispronounce Hylian? Why would it be Hillian if Hyrule is pronounced Highrule? Like.... I just don’t understand the logic there.
SweetEmbrace ...could be Herule and everyone could have been saying it all wrong this entire time....maybe...js lol
middleton III I would give you that, but they pronounce ‘Hyrule’ in BOTW haha. It’s definitly Highrule.
Also, “ORcarina of Time”
??????
middleton III first stop those ellipses idiot did your late parents send you to school. second unless ur dumber than idiot the game clearly pronounce it as "high-rule" and there is "lorule" in ALBW. Fuck stupid.
do you mean its pronounced hirule?/s
Hi awesome video mate your passion for botw is intoxicating and has made me want to replay it for the third time haha
Your content is made so well and you are going places and i am definitely subbing and looking forward to new videos :)
The ending got me... i wish he was still here to continue what he has already done
This game is full of breathtaking landscapes. I am awestruck by its vibrance and the sheer amount of details Nintendo has put into its map. I never get enough of taking in its colours.
4:52 that makes me cry everytime OOT memories when I was like 7 😭😢😢😢 to see it gone is SO sad... I loved it so much
I only know this guy for that one really dumb Splatoon Agent 7 theory that had so much evidence against it
Also, "shrine tower"
When you first start this game, you’re like yo I ain’t never killing a Hinox.. then around the halfway point that becomes child’s play and you’re like ME kill a LYNEL?! Stop playin! Then after you give it a few serious attempts and succeed you know, it’s all easy bullshit baby! We the best! Show me a hard enemy and I’ll show you results!
-I’ve never killed a gold lynel.. 😞
Bro flurry rush op
Git gud 😄
A gold lynel is honestly a huge achievement imo, they’re harder than pretty much any other enemy in the game, and I’d say harder than the Calamity Ganon / Dark Beast Ganon boss fight. Lynels on the beginning of the game are insane though, in Master Mode theres one on the Great Plateau
I haven't killed a Gold Lynel only because I haven't found a Gold Lynel.
@@splashor6361 because you need to play in master mode, youre in a normal mode, that's why you can't find it.
to be honest i cried at the end of this video. im too dang emotional for this.
I think this was the best ending of a video in the whole of youtube that i have ever seen😍
Hudson is married while I can’t even date Mipha. 😭😭
Sorry bud mipha is dead lol how you supposed to do that
@@thatapollo739 marry the corpse
If you haven't been to all these places then you re playing it wrong
Except for maybe mekar Island because it doesn't have any severe significance to it so you don't stop by it that easily
I just barely got the pareglider
I’m crying at the end
Thank you.
What did you say?... shrine tower SHRINE TOWER??!?!?!?! W H A T??!??! Do you mean sheikah tower
Yeah, I was a little confused by that
There is quite a bit of stuff he did mess up on in names
My reactions:
7: SHRIIIIIIIIIIIINE
6: I never knew about the weapons, also thanks for telling me that there is no shrine there
5: I was there and I never noticed the wind thing!
4: I recently completed Tarrey Town! It's useful to finish it because the bird person starts a massive arrow shop.
3: I would check it out. I don't know about the horse though...
2: I forgot about this place...
1: This is cool!
Dungeneer A
I've never bought arrows though xD
Peckamatone plus you can buy missable clothes and the hylian shield from a guy on the second floor of the house next to the entrance of the town
We can all be thankful Satoru Iwata gave us amazing games and a better universe
Mekar island is also a reference to the first Zelda dungeon, if you look at both of them side by side you will notice the big tree where the dungeon starts and some wonder where the four other trees went, but they are at the base of the main tree
Thai is the best intro I’ve ever seen in my life!
I played ocarina of time and when I first saw the ranch ruins I recognised it in a split second.
I don’t think ANYONE missed any of these places in their first playthrough
Paper Luigi I missed actually a couple of them oof
Umm I've never even seen the colloseum before😢😭 and I've never been to the island.😭😭😭
I completely missed the coliseum
@@iAmLMF72 same
Guys.. its a huge figure on the actual map
1:55
Moblins have electric weapons.
They are the nearest enemies to the top of coliseum
Lizalfos have ice weapons
They’re in the middle
Bokiblins have fire weapons
They are near the bottom
you have one of the best intro songs ive ever heard usually theyre really loud or annoyingly long but yours was fun and fit with the nintendo theme loved it lol
Late to the game and just found your video.
Thank you. #1 brought tears to my eyes.
I also love your intro
"if you ever played orcarina of time you'll remember romani ranch" lol ok
Lmao ikr i never finished ocarina but i know romani is from majoras mask
Yeah let’s go with that, close enough…
Lol
to me the light at satori mountain is him saying "although I'm gone my spirit lives on let my light serve as a beacon of courage to fight on through these trying times" i felt inspired to climb that mountain on foot and made it to the top (after dying about 10 times)
that intro music SLAPS you just earned a sub for that alone
4:59 Did this dude seriously just say “Ore-carina of Time”?!
R.I.P. Satoru Iwata. when Nintendo broke the news I was bawling my eyes out with tears
what is a hillian? did ... did you mean Hylian?
It is like when you say american for someone of usa, hylian is the same but for Hyrule
They are the living hill people.
The hills are alive with the sounds of Hylians.
Nin10dolabds intro is amazing. I could watch it for hours
Your intro is too much fun to watch!
That video intro song was low key lit.
Just look for "Mario Trap"
@@nowonmetube after these years, thank you lol. You still alive?

Took me two tries, but I tamed the Lord of the Mountain and the stable reaction was great.
Tarrey town is my favourite town by far, so many shops and dogs and people, and helping it being built is so nice!
Right? I havent bought a damn thing from it, but just sidequesting the whole thing into being makes me revisit
Weird; my eyes started watering at the end.
bruh this is my first video from ur channel and i adore your intro its just sounds actually good
4:22 he said (Hill-e-in) instead of (high-lee-in) 😂 (Hylian) I’m dead
That's how I grew up saying it high Lee I
N
Kaylee Dorish wow. It’s that funny to you?
10:36 rest in peace, you legend
Thank you so much I wanted the time stamp
oh yay pt 2 :)
i LOVE your intro

ecxept i havent been to mekar island maybe i'll check it out
500+ fight me.

We can all unite under a single cause.
