I've been very happy with KEH. I've bought lenses, accessories, (PhotoClam ballhead and other stuff) and a Fuji X-E2 body from them as well. Like you said, the gear rated "bargain" is truly exceptional in terms of value and perfect functionality. The X-E2 was rated as "bargain" gear and had one superficial scratch on the body but otherwise functions perfectly!
Ive purchased so much from KEH over the years.. but i've never purchased a bargain grade from them, usually because the leap to their next year is minor and i'll go for an EX or even EX+ in most cases. i am tempted to pick up my first bargain lens tho from them. maybe i will after watching this video. cheers
I just received a used Nikon lens from them that was Ex+ and it was sent quickly and well wrapped. I have had good luck with their deals and also with selling them used stuff.
KEH is great to buy used gear from, BUT they definitely low ball you if you’re selling gear to them. DON’T sell to KEH!! Expect that they are looking to just grab it from you at a bargain so they can take advantage of how well you babied cared for the lens. I’d say you’re better off to sell on Ebay instead. I had a lens in perfect condition, No marks, fungus, or scratches, like new- with original box and paperwork to boot. They wanted to give me WAY less than it’s value...probably less than half of what I saw them selling them for on KEH. And they take FOREVER to get back to you.
Of course. They’re the middle man trying to make a profit, so it’s always better for you financially to sell it yourself and instead of giving up profit.
Just bought an old nex 5t from keh... greatest film making descision of my life... 😅 sensor only has 1.4 crop factor as apposed to most dslr 1.5 or 1.6 crop factor.... unless it’s a full frame camera 🎥😅
After watching this, I went for a bargain rated lens from KEH. There were no real details on the condition, just that it came with caps. The lens initially looked great, then I noticed something stuck to the tripod collar mount. The mount on the collar where the removable foot attaches has had a sloppy epoxy repair. It seems to work okay, but then I found the knurled knob for the removable foot was missing a setscrew and can easily fall off. Although the sale came with double the warranty as a holiday promotion, I'm going to return the lens. I guess I'll get to see their customer service in action.
Their standards must be slipping, I bought a "bargain" grade camera from them and it's definitely ugly! I would not recommend them. I'm pretty annoyed because it's this video that made me trust them. They've offered a return but postage is my expense and from Australia it's just too much.
@@Cmm474 Try it, because they have never mailed anything out that was anywhere close to what they claimed. I bought a bargain graded camera that looked better than the highest grading that KEH has, It looked like they took it out of the box new when they mailed it to me. I would recommend going for it, they will refund you completely with no cost if you arent happy so its not really any risk at all, especially if you pay with paypal.
PilsPlease I just ordered a bargain camera and excellent condition lens 🤞 I’m in the US so a return should be easy if need be. I still wish they’d add photos.
@@Cmm474 Bargain grade cameras are always usable dont worry if it has slight brassing that doesnt effect the value and it does not impact the cameras function. An excellent lens should look like it was made yesterday. If you dont mind me asking what camera did you get?

These guys are the worst kind of shysters. They literally stole several items in a huge bundle from me. Your Sinar boards....they probably stole from me .....they took at least 6 in a bundle sale.

I bought a flash and a lens rated 'bargain'. Both looked nearly brand new to me! Both worked perfectly. (The lens was 40 years old).
KEH is awesome, I've not tried bargain but I am looking at one currently. I trust these guys as much as I do new.

Greg Derozier that really sucks. I've never had a problem with Bargain grade from KEH. At least they have a good return policy.
I’ve ordered at least a half dozen bargain grade lenses from keg and they’ve all been really nice.
