Hi Ian, I am following y quite some time, and learning lots. But one thing I can't do. Switch to fuji.yes I still us my canon 5 DSR , but the new mirror less are so expensive so I can't afford them. But I can't switch to Fuji from 50 megapixel which I have them now. So I will enjoy your videos. Cheers
The mask intersect tip is something I'd have never thought of. Anything that reduces editing time has become more and more valuable to me as I've continued to photograph. Thanks a bundle.
Hello Ian. I love your work bro. Select sky , then subtract sky , then invert mask . Lol! It selects the sky only, no over spill. Do not know why it works but, it works wonders.
Hello Ian. It would be misleading to suggest that the "sky selection trick" you enthuse about is likely to improve selecting skies. My own experience, as indeed do others on Utube, suggests that the "trick" which first appeared on Utube some weeks ago, has very limited use in the selection of skies in Lightroom. In other words, the so called "trick" is not that effective. Moreover, the need to exactly select skies is further diminished if a photographer is as concerned about "atmospheric perspective" as indeed we, as landscape photographers, should be! Just a few thoughts ... 🙂

I've got wind swept, snowy peaks that I shoot that the masks are all over the place. I did this trick a second time and it got even better. Thanks!
Awesome, glad it worked for you. 👍👍

when r u going to give up on the 3:2 aspect ratio?
What kind of question is that?
@@alexlindstrom9971 read some books and you'll see the importance of aspect ratio.
what would an alternative ratio be for printing?
