The best ending credits music, and overall ending ever. You all realize this is actually depicting Will experiencing his existence, and the entire world being wiped away to be replaced by the new and unknown world? He's reliving visiting those places because his memories and the actual places are being wiped. The music reveales his feelings go from childish excitement, to sadness, to doubtful hope that the new world might become better than the one he knew. This is seriously deep stuff and very avant-garde, too bad no game developers haven't had as much guts since.
Wow, what a terrific ending after the credits, I LOVED this game, I know I've commented this a billion times but really. For the year it came out: WOW!!! Remake for the Wii anyone???? xD
I enjoyed terranigma ending as much, but you definitely needed to look deeper into it and be very connected to the story and characters the entire time.
@drunkasssteve Definately, I remember renting it when it first came out every 2 weeks, played it until I actually beat it, though I think I was better at video Games as kid than I am now. And a Virtual Console release would be great, I dunno if they could do it because Enix and Square merged right? so I dont know if they Disregard any Lone-Company game like this.
This is so very late, but if you see this, that last bit of music at the very, very end is called "South Cape", the town theme first used at the very beginning of the game.
my heart jumps into the sky
and i cry
happily without a sigh
at how lovely the illusions of gaia is!

What a bad ending... They had to tell us about Lilly, Neil, Lola, Bill and everyone else.
