Off topic but I just drove past my local dealership in central PA and they had a 2020 trail boss out front. 59,999 on the windshield. Absolutely nutty prices right now.
Unlike other brands like Genesis, Acura, Infiniti, Lexus, etc. I love how when GM does a digital cluster it is always very well though out _and_ very intuitive and easy to use. This has a luxury level of configuration and the animations are top tier. I don’t mind GM taking their time upgrading features like this if they’re going to execute it this greatly. Thanks for the great review!
Hey Jeff all you need to get around the seat belt (won’t start) is a Seat Belt Extender sold at Auto Part Stores $10-$15 us. It also keeps the seat belt buzzer from working because it thinks you have the seat belt on. It also helps attaching the seat belts because they are farther out from the inside of the seat. My wife has rheumatoid arthritis and it makes it a lot easier for her. After a bought them I realized the buzzer didn’t go off as soon as we got in the car.
Thanks Jeff great video. I am one of those folks who owned a 2021 Yukon SLT that i purchased for my wife. Within 5000 miles i had lifter issues. Just sold the truck to a 3rd party. Now for the crazy part lol. My wife loved the truck so much. I just bought a 2022 Yukon SLT and we HATE the new Google Dashboard instruments lol. GM had a much more modern look and was definitely more user friendly according to my wife.
@@GeneralMotorsJeff Really looking forward to this truck. Have had an 01 Silverado Z71 for years (312k miles currently), had a 17 Silverado Z71 LTZ Midnight Edition w/6.2 and 8spd trans that was ok, bunch of issues with the trans and injection system on that one. Sold it for my 17 ZL1 Camaro to which I just sold to clean up my garage for the all new 2022 GMC Sierra Denali w/6.2 in Pacific Blue Metallic. Just have to wait a little while longer for them to open up the orders for these. I'll be sure to post reviews and video of the truck once I get it. Keep up the great reviews Jeff, we all greatly appreciate it.
Question: I am considering a '22 Sierra, but I want to know if the "buckle to drive" feature can be turned off? That is a HUGE NEGATIVE for me. I'm a farmer and I am constantly changing trailers, driving 20-30 feet between sprinklers, etc. I do not need my truck telling me how to drive, I just need it to do what I tell it to
Now that I have 2 kids these things are looking more and more Tempting all the time... only discouraging thing is the price on them! Vehicle prices seems to have skyrocketed in the last 5 Years... at the end of 2016 I bought a 2017 Sierra Denali with the 6.2 for $63K, that same truck now in 2022 is probably $80-$85K? Nutty (Canadian Prices)
Can the auto high beams be set to work while the fog lights are being used? The salesperson I bought my 2022 yukon through said I can only use my fog lights or the auto high beams but not have both set at the same time. With my Ford truck, I had my fog lights on and the auto high beams set, the the high beams came on, the fog lights went off, and then of course the fog lights came back on after the high beams cycled off for oncoming traffic. I can’t imagine GM would have their vehicles set up the way the salesperson told me. Also, my HUD isn’t showing the speed limit but the rectangle with a white background is blank is under the speed I’m going.
Great video Jeff thanks for all your help. Q: can you tell me on the 61K Denial does it have a sunroof already installed I have try to find even the dealership can’t tell me what all equipment on the Denial. Thanks again
Only thing I don’t like about GM is that they only add new features to the 1500 trucks, for example the new 2022 sierra has a big ahh display but the 2022 2500 have the same small display, the ford trucks all have big displays on all of their trucks, same goes with ram.
I have a reservation for a 2022 AT4 and if it doesn’t come with those basic creature comfort features in a $60,000+ truck, that’s a deal breaker. Sounds petty but $20,000 vehicles have them standard, no reason why expensive trucks shouldn’t.
Its cool how configurable the gauge panel is but I would much rather traditional gauges for the main engine info (Tach , speedo, temp, fuel, etc) and then have configurable screen for secondary stuff like mileage, trip odometer, oil life etc etc. I just find the totally digital screens look cheap and gimmicky. I was just in a friends new high end Volvo the other day and the whole gauge cluster is totally digital (and not even as nice as this GMC panel) and it just makes an other wise upscale interior look cheap and cheesy. To me it takes away from what is an otherwise very nice interior in the new GM trucks.
I really hate how the speedometers have gone to 20, 40, 60, 80, etc. It's harder to pick out your speed. That's literally the only function of the speedometer, and it just fails at that. For no reason.
Awesome! I can’t wait for the all electric Chevy Silverado, will be great for my cerebral palsy, will the all Electric Chevy Silverado have automatic doors? Would be awesome for my cerebral palsy
It’s pretty cool to see google maps! Google is great because of the immediate updates. Does an internet connection to run google maps come standard now or will it only work if you purchase a package?
