I just got mine today and installed in my 2020 Ford Edge. It worked great. One tip, if you happen to remove the mirror by accident (as I did), here is a great video on how to remove and reinstall the rearview mirror (it is for the Ford Transit, but it worked for the Edge as well) th-cam.com/video/4t7LrrLr7Z4/w-d-xo.html This really helped as I thought I was screwed when the mirror came off while I was trying to move it out of the way

I replaced a wiretap (two prongs) with the dongar plug and play adapter. The wiretaps are good if you have no other option but in my experience they're much harder to get securely in place. The dongar is plug and play, super easy and secure.

@Ahura Mazda not sure if it will work on your 2017 if yours has the same connector it probably will but i cant be sure. 2019+ i know is the same tho. It does not impact the vehicles electronics though. The power were taking it from is the dimming mirror which isn't too power hungry.

Is this compatible on older models? Have a 2017 edge sport.
Honestly not sure. If you have a power mirror I would give it a look. Take off the shroud like I do in the video and see if the connector matches up.

What year is your Edge? The Dongar site says 2021+, but hoping they mean 2019+ since that was the last redesign.
Mine is a 2020. I would imagine 2019 (or even earlier) since they haven't changed too much on the interior.
I have a 2019 edge but having trouble finding the 2 wires needed to use for wire tap because of colors and location being different.
The wire tap is not easy in the Edge. I put a video on it but I'd definitely recommend this dongar option
does it do parking mode for the a119 viofo as well?
Not on the edge by default. The mirror is unpowered when the car is off. Maybe a way to change that with fuses or forscan but no. Not by default
