Ayo thanks a lot bro! I really apreciate it🙏 I always try to do less editing to save time but I never really do it🤡 Btw, how comes that you have 40 subs but just one video?
I definitely agree with the title. Bought mine for slightly more, but it's definitely possible getting a fantastic E60/E61 for under 5k (EUR and USD). Service records are the most important, aside from the "typical" carfax/car info look up. Solid info here, but would've loved to see more of the common E61 issues under the "common reliability issues/problems" section.
I'm really glad you enjoyed the video and shared a bit of your expenrience here! So thanks a lot for the Feedback! Service history might be the most important thing when buying any used car haha. I really get your point with the E61 here... But the only specific problemes ik about them are the air suspension in the rear and I think rust or some other issue on the Split tailgate 🤔 I'm sure I miss sth here, so do you know more?
The early model ZF6HP19 is the only "regular" E60 transmission prone to fail. The ZF6HP26 and 28's are solid. The only thing worth noting is the 28's torque converter is far superior to the 19's and 26's if you're running a tuned M57 setup. SMG transmissions themselves are fine aside from the SMG pumps being terrible. But they're also mostly found on the S85 V10's. Got a couple of videos of my 310k km E60 on my video. Factory engine and transmission. Regular maintenance and service will keep these cars on the road forever.
Obviously the Rod bearing issue is bad and sth like a failing oil system is pretty significant on a V10 too Of course also buying them used in itself can be risky as a lot of BMW or M drivers generelly drive their cars pretty hard and many don't prioritize maintnance... But I also only said "probably most unreliable BMW engine"
well made video, thanks for the info
Thank you very much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it!
It's always nice when someone appreciates your work🤝
Great editing, wish you best of luck on your channel growth)

Good luck with the transmission… that’s the real dealbreaker with this platform.
Really? From what I know, these ZF built transmissions are really solid... The SMGs are unreiable of course but I also mentioned that in the Video.

why is the s85 the most unreliable engine?
